dunno what in the balls I'm doing.

"Sometimes I wish I didn't exist."
The words came out as a muffled whisper, admitted but barely acknowledged by the
air that carried the waves of sound.
"Wouldn't have to worry."
The explanation was attached to the thought without much investment.
Shem turned to Kozel, who sat idly typing away, his fingers communicating with people
across oceans and vast distances. "Huh?" his talking fingers halted for a brief moment,
eyes looking at Shem, head and horns tilting to the side in confusion, "What'd you say?" The goat kept his
fingers posed over the keyboard, ready to continue yapping at any moment.
"Huh? oh... Said, sometimes I wish I didn't ...miss." Shem's eyes wandered as he mumbled
out the lie. His cheeks burned a bit, but he hoped Kozel was as he normally is, unhearing
and uncaring, "Ok, whatever." yapping returned, the goat satisfied with the false information.
Shem looked down and slowly shook his head. His eyes were fixated on the cherry of his
cigarette, burning tobacco providing a temporary escape for him to get lost inisde.
Shem took another drag, enjoying the carcinogenic reward for inhaling the smoke. Quiet.
He exhaled, and tapped the ashes into the tray, his mind still mostly occupied with the
cherry, but still empty. "I am quiet." the words appeared as one would see gold flecks
appearing amongst the draining sand and rocks in a pan, sifting for the precious material in
waste.
