I find it interesting we give him humaniod form, seeing how it has been around long before humans. Perhaps it is to humanize death, so that we can feel as we can better understand it. For what we truly fear, what strikes terror into our very soul is that which we do not understand. We humanize death to get over our fear, but in truth we are only putting a mask on a formless and ageless face.","content":"He came for me at night   \nwhen all the stars in the heavens were alight   \nWhen everyone was dreaming free  \nThe man with the hood came for me  \n  \nHis knock was so soft and small in size  \nthat the very sound seemed to apologize  \nBut this was a meeting from which I couldn't hide  \nso I just simply let him inside\n\nWe sat in the living room for a while   \nHis face shrouded in his black velvet hood  \nand mine painted with a sad smile  \nfor shedding tears would do no good  \n  \nAt length he asked if there was any I needed to see  \nbut alas I told him I had no family   \nNo one to bequeath my kingdom of rocks   \nNo one to find me that special box   \n  \nAt this he seemed a saddened case  \nbut I wasn't sure for I couldn't see his face  \nThen he gently touched my wrinkled face   \nand, for a moment, I felt the world shift in place  \n  \nIt was over before it even began   \nand in what felt like moments I stood  \nwatching my body being taken in the county van  \nAnd next to me stood the man with the hood   \n  \nTaking my hand in his he shepherded me away  \neast towards the blooming of a new day   \nWe walked into the awaiting light   \nand the very Earth winked out of sight \u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
