I know it's kinda short, but Part Two is coming out soon! This is Cinna Marefern, wishing you good luck, and good fortune!
It was a dark and stormy night. The black clouds were twisting with rage, and the wind howled like a angry wolf. I flew through the night, hoping to catch a hotel or an inn, but even i knew that on a night like this, no one would be open to the public. As i passed over the houses, i could tell that all the humans had locked their doors tight, and weren't about to give shelter to a lowly griffin like me. Now, I could have changed into my human morph, but i wouldn't last long with their featherless (or furless) skin. I had started to give up hope, when someone called my name. "Golden Rain!! Over here!" I smiled with joy. It was my old friend, Fennel(she's a fox), who had come to my rescue. She waved her arms over her head, and i swooped down to meet her. "Fennel, what are you doing here?" I asked. She replied "Dominic told me that you were trying to find a place to stay till the storm passed over. I thought that the least i could do was help". I smirked. Dominic was a wolf, but you could always count on him to be in someone else's bueisness other than his own. "Well, come on Rainie (this was her nickname for me)! I don't want you standing here, all wet." Fennel said as she raced off. I followed her, eager to get out of that foul downpour. Eventually, we made it to her den, and she handed me a towel. I dried myself off, and shook my long, flowing, golden fur. Then, I carefully dried my long, aqua-blue featherss on my wings. I tossed the towel back to her "Thanks Fennel" I said. "Rainie, you must be hungry. Come on, i'll fix you something" She said. She walked off into the kitchen, and started pulling out some sharp knives. "What are you making?" I asked her. She smiled cruelly, and then said "I'm making griffin stew" Before she could even grab me, I was up and out of there, quick as a flash. I quickly realized my mistake. Fennel hated the rain, and she wouldn't come out, no matter what happened. "That wasn't Fennel" I say to no one in particular. As I'm flying over the mountains, my wings suddenly feel incredibly heavy. I struggle to keep flying, and then it hits me. Literally. A net comes out of nowhere, and soon, i'm tangled in the net. No matter how hard i try, i can't get out! "Help!" I screech, as i plummit to the ground. A pair of hands catch me just before i hit the ground. My head is forced up, and i feel a knife at my throat. "If you want to live, I strongly suggest you keep your beak shut" A mysterious voice says to me. I try to sqirm my way out, but whoever's holding me has a firm grip. After a while, i finally give up struggling, and go limp. "This one's a StormCatcher all right" I hear the voice mutter. I'm put into a containing cylinder, but before the hatch at the roof of my prison closes, i can feel the net withering. It eventually falls off, and i'm free to move. Or so i thought. When the hatch closes, i feel some sort of magical energy pulling me to the back of the cylinder, and once again, i struggle to keep away from it. Unfortunatly, i'm still too weak, and the magical energy pulls me to the back anyway. I feel some type of movement, and then i realize that i'm flying. I can't see a thing, so i relax, and eventually fall asleep.

End of Part one

"}
