OK, there are some occasions I am of the mindset to write poetry. This is one of two I did recently that I just typed up and am sharing.

Broadcast Signals

 

Gaze at the stars

Wonder if there are

Better lives out there

Than what we have to bear

On this planet

Since life is so hard

 

Infinite sadness all around

True happiness nowhere to be found

Pleasure is out of bounds

 

Good feelings are a dream

Dark feelings seen

Overflowing and busting at the seems

Inflicting pain on all beings

 

Inwardly we look

As if our souls were a book

With wisdom that can be partook

To secure ourselves a nook

Setting trouble to flight like a rook
