#2 of Poetry

This was written in the midst of a severe depressive cycle and may not be for everyone. I suffer from depression and have done so since I was thirteen. More recently it has gotten really bad and lack of funds are making it very hard to maintain the ability to attend therapy. I needed to get something out. This work is literally what is going on in my head right now.

The Box

Fear

Doubt

Self-deprecation

Worry

Pain

Sadness

AGONY

i AM EVERYTHING YOU FEAR

Everything you hate

Everything you know you aren't

Everything you know you wish you could get away from

I AM ALWAYS THERE

In the back of your mind

Whispering ever so slightly

Sometimes you hear me

Sometimes you listen

That's when it starts

I open the floodgates a little

Memories, the happiness, and the pain

The fears, the triumphs and the defeat

All rushes through you like a torrent

Filling you up till you can't take it anymore

**Then I Win**

_Your mind is like Pandora's Box_

**_I am the fear_**

**_I am the hope_**

**_I am the dark_**

**_I am the light_**

Open me

It'll be worth it

I promise

\<Sinister laughing followed by a scream\>

Thanks so much for freeing me

Enjoy the ride
