{"sf1_id":537190,"sf2_id":"lmX4M6pm","title":"Lady Vorach","author":"Foxpiper","words":322,"posted_at":"2013-05-11T01:59:00.000Z","tags":["Brian","Jacques","Northlands","Poem","Redwall","SalemtheCruel","Vermin","Vorach","marten"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/537190-lady-vorach","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/lmX4M6pm","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/76/35/76358f1b-20b9-4d6a-991d-2a791ac2eac3","description":"This is another poem that was written as a request by SalemtheCruel about her Redwall character, Vorach.\nVorach is © by SalemtheCruel, All rights reserved.\nRedwall is © by Brian Jacques, All rights reserved.","content":"Lady Vorach\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nBy\n\nFoxpiper\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nLady Vorach hailed from the cold and rugged north,  \nWhere snow would blanket every tree and rock-covered warth;  \nThe marten's heart was frozen, just like her stoic rule,  \nReigning with an iron paw, her ways forever cruel.\n\nBorn into poverty and never shown much love,  \nYoung Vorach was a waif that was rarely spoken of;  \nYet a dark fate seemed to smile upon her one day,  \nWhen a band of mercenaries took her straight away.\u0026nbsp;\n\nThey saw her potential to become a blade for hire,  \nWith her great intelligence and wanton desire;  \nThus, an apprenticeship began for many a year,  \nUntil she became a force that all would truly fear.\n\nUpon reaching adulthood, she had chose to depart,  \nFor nothing seemed to satisfy her blackened heart;  \nThe marten knew that going rogue would be very rough,  \nBut the life of a mercenary was not enough.\u0026nbsp;\n\nSo she gathered groups of vermin, forming a fierce horde,  \nWith the promise of vast riches as their own reward;  \nThey wandered across the Northlands for awhile,  \nUntil Vorach heard tales of a wondrous isle.\u0026nbsp;\n\nA mystic kingdom governed by an aging king,  \nWas an offer that would be a most fortunate thing;  \nAcquiring ships to sail to this ancient place,  \nMade an evil smile flicker across her face.\n\nSilently, they rowed upon the island's sandy shore,  \nWith villagers unaware that death was at their door;  \nSoon, the sounds of bloody screams filled the open air,  \nAs the vermin slaughtered many without a care.\u0026nbsp;\n\nEventually, they found the king hiding in a room,  \nA scared and frail beast who swiftly met his doom;  \nAfter gathering those from the bloodshed obscene,  \nLady Vorach proudly proclaimed herself as queen.\n\nVillagers became slaves, obeying her every whim,  \nWhilst those who disagreed suffered tortures most grim;  \nAnd thus, it became clear for\u0026nbsp;any beast to see,  \nThe vile reign of Vorach would be wrought in misery.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
