"Andre" - (c) 2009-1217.1527 Kevin Foxboy, All Rights Reserved

Andre Rousseau was born and grew up near Lyons, France. You
got your own life, so I won't bore ya with all the details. Andre's
mom was a fashion model (sorry if French fashion models are a stereo-
type) who was some Paris government official's mistress. Andre didn't
see his father much.

I dunno if it's just people in the fashion industry who're
pretty casual about nudity and sex, or Lyonnites, or French in general.
It wasn't socially improper to have a mistress, or a married man to
be mistress for, or to have unmarried parents. OK, Andre was a bastard,
quite literally, but it wasn't a stigma, wasn't held against him, just
a fact.

Of course, 'O' the professional model (no, not the American
talk-show host) had intermittent work, and had to be ready to go to
some stranger's studio or location on a moment's notice. She wasn't
the only model, so she took Andre to work and they all looked after
him. He was a baby model himself, mom held him and dressed him for
the cameras. He was even breast-fed on camera for baby-food commer-
cials. Tastefully of course.

It was perfectly normal in that society, so there was no
shame being nude. Andre saw his mother and the other models nude
almost every shoot, and he grew up accepting their beauty and grace
of movement without thinking it was sexual. There were many male
models too; although they socialised between film rolls or setups
wearing bathrobes for warmth, the men and women sometimes worked
nude together. Artistically that is.

It was just another fact, like blue sky or green grass,
that men and women looked different. Men were often more muscular,
and Andre saw them move and lift weights to show off their bodies,
to advertise the clothes or weight-training machines. If you cover
everything up, how can you show the result of all that effort?

And women have curves, why not show them off? Sure there
were cosmetics, the flesh showed it off to best effect. Andre saw
the photos and compared them to his memory; the best pics didn't
use tricks like airbrushing wrinkles out, they showed that ordin-
ary people, who'd buy the products, could look younger and more
beautiful. Not just professional models.

That meant the products had to really work. Americans don't
know how badly they're being tricked by all that goofing around;
the photos don't really show what the cosmetics do, just the
photog's skill at covering up reality. Americans don't want to
see reality anyway, they prefer the lies.

Anyway, Andre had a pretty normal French life, I guess. He
noticed his body changing as he grew up, and the models told him
about it. Don't be scared, it's just body hair, even women have it.
If you want, you can shave it or cover it or even dye it. It's just
a fashion statement. His mom jokingly called women 'innies' and men
'outies'.

Andre wasn't quite a teen when he found out what the parts
did. Other models brought their kids, and a girl a few years older
showed him in the costume room. She didn't have much experience
though, and Andre had none, so there was a lot of fumbling around.
He told his mom, did you know this? and they all stopped joking
around. He wasn't in trouble, but it was time to talk seriously.

Part of growing up is learning adult activities, and Andre
was scared because it was so new. He'd heard people 'making love'
but now it was his turn. Everything was new to him, he had no pre-
conceived ideas, and he learned to have sex to please his lovers.
Of either gender.

When Andre was sixteen he learned of an American company
called Biological Synthetics Incorporated because they were expanding
into Europe. He'd traveled inside the Union for shoots and started
assisting the photogs as he learned the profession. He knew the
artistic side of the business from doing it and now did behind-the-
camera work. He learned loading and developing analog film to get
effects you can't do with digital, and learned computer editing of
scanned images and digital camera downloads.

He went with several models and mom to America. Some province
called Montana, a city called Butte. He'd learned to talk American
from his fashion work, and knew the joke. Butte was spelled like butt,
derriere, but pronounced differently. He appreciated a shapely butt.

Saying 'Biological Synthetics Incorporated' took a little
time, and Americans were always so impatient! They'd say 'BSI' for
the medical products manufacturer and 'BioSyn' for something new
to Andre, using genetic code to mix humans and animals. It sounded
wonderfully perverted to Andre, and he wondered that the usually
stuck-up foreigners could imagine such a thing.

It was just one of many self-contradictions in America.

\*

Andre wanted to make a name for himself as a fashion photog-
rapher in America. Dad had been caught up in some scandal back home,
Andre didn't understand why, and Mom had her professional contacts
back in France. It was only a few hours airplane ride back home, and
Andre had a cell phone that worked in America and Europe, so he set
up shop with an established older photographer. Both outies, they got
used to each other's casual nudity quickly.

Um, it's not important here to say what the young Frenchman
learned from this, except some Americans were more easy-going than
others. Hubert was kinda interested in Andre's talk about BioSyn and
their Furson and Product catalogs. See, when you mix DNA, you can
modify a human to be furry or make an animal talk and walk upright.
Andre and Hubert got interested in Going Furry and Andre talked to
BioSyn docs.

Andre liked the artistic looks of the slinkier Furson products.
He looked at Biosyn Dog and Cat series Fursons, but he needed Hubert's
help with the American terms he hadn't yet learned. 'Taxonomy', 'Car-
nivore', 'Felid', 'Canid', 'Mustelid' ... He could guess, because the
terms were repeated, they were groups of animals you could become,
from most general to more specific. The history was kinda interesting
too, but it should have been written in a more interesting way.

Andre liked the Furson pictures, but his critical eye saw
room for improvement. Hell, he was seventeen, just starting profes-
sional work, and he could make more true-to-life pics than these
guys who'd been pro for years! He could make it look so inviting
everyone would want to pay BioSyn to Go Furry! He had to find out
for himself what it would be like.

Andre Rousseau decided to Go Furry himself, and he became
Andre Weasel.

John Thomas (yeah, I know it sounds fake) was an African-
American middle-class guy who grew up expecting some privileges but
got upset when he learned about what was done to his ancestors. He
saw Alex Haley's 'Roots' and read the book. How could people treat
other people badly just because their skin was a different color?!

He started hating whites and got in trouble at school. That
started a vicious circle cause the law was white guys who just saw
a black troublemaker. It got nastier and nastier until a black pastor
told him people had been hating other people for thousands of years
and making up little differences they could use as excuses for it.

Heck, they were Baptists, a branch of Christianity, and that
religion started from Judaism when a nice Jewish boy found out he was
special and the thirty-year-old preacher got nailed to a tree for
saying let's all be nice to each other!

It didn't excuse the injustice, just gave John some perspec-
tive, to know the whites' ancestors had been persecuted because of
their religion. And the Hispanics had been mistreated, and the
Asians, and the ...

There was a novel about a guy whose dreams affected reality.
His shrink started making him dream the shrink's version of a better
world. The shrink had him dream a world where nobody hated anyone else
because of skin color, and everybody became the same yucky gray!

OK, no skin color differences, so no hate. But that's the easy
way out; if you can change reality, make it so everyone's different,
but nobody cares!

In the real world, some company out West was goofing around
with reality. In Butte Montana USA, Biological Synthetics Incorporated
was making human blood and organs to improve their health. Made a lot
of it, with DNA recombination. So the price went way down and everyone
who needed it could get it. The patent-holding greedheads objected,
but so what? Serves em right, most people benefited!

I've repeatedly written about BSI products, so I'll move on.
John Thomas kinda liked goofing on people, so he read up on BSI and
BioSyn. They had two main product groups, kinda like Plymouth and
Dodge cars, if you remember them. BioSyn added animal DNA to humans
to make Fursons furry, and added human DNA to animals to make em talk
and walk upright. BioSyn made them as slaves.

John was repelled at first and it seemed disgustingly per-
verted, a return to human suffering, to make fur slaves. But it
wasn't hating different skin color, language, religion, or anything.
It was a moral decision, fur slaves were never human, didn't have
'unalienable rights' to violate.

Some of John's neighbours felt sorry for fur slaves and took
them into their homes, like a dog or cat from the shelter. But mixes,
as the slaves were called, were made by humans for humans. And their
minds were twisted, to make them think slavery was normal!

Yeah, mixes were products. Expensive ones, too. They were
physically stronger than their human ... owners; quicker reactions
and keener senses. The ownership of slaves started with industry
owning laborers for heavy and dangerous work; they were idiots who
knew very simple words and were just self-mobile tools you could
order around. Companies used slave guards for the same reasons --
if someone attacked, the animal would stop them. If the beast was
killed, it was just property loss, like a guard dog. No big deal.

Then hospitals used labor for patient care, just the physical
stuff. The beasts never got impatient or angry, they were too dumb.
Perfect for outpatient care too; they'd stay with a disabled person,
an invalid, or an older person who needed a companion. That's why
people keep dogs, but these were brighter beasts, they knew English
and could learn what you wanted of them. A totally obedient guard
dog, who would die to protect you, but could take care of its own
needs, never bother the neighbours with barking.

Then people bought fur slaves as domestic servants; maids,
cooks, day-care, gardeners. They'd keep an infant out of danger
while parents worked, be home to greet a schoolkid. People didn't
make someone slave out of hate or prejudice, or to punish them.

John met a lovely fur slave at his friend's home. She was
a mix of human and skunk, but without the scent. She just had such
lovely fur, black with the white stripe, and let her owner fondle
her whenever he wanted. The owner was a bit of a lech, and would
have been in trouble if she'd been human, but she was enough of a
beast he felt her and nothing more.

She satisfied his desire to touch and fondle a female, and
had the breasts and rump he craved. But skunks like it rough, and
she resisted his advances because he demanded it. He liked over-
powering women, and she was enough for him. It was actually a help
to him, kept him away from humans. And that wide tail she caressed
him back with satisfied his need for closeness and companionship.

John saw how humans treated their fur slaves, and became
interested in their place in society. Just as there are organisa-
tions to prevent animal cruelty, John wanted to protect mixes. He
liked the way the skunkfur looked, and started looking at BioSyn's
Product Catalog. He found her code easily and could have owned a
copy.

But BioSyn also had a Furson Catalog. It was a bit scary
to look like an animal, but John was fascinated by the pictures.
Before and After, when someone gave permission. John wanted to
fight the good fight, make a difference, improve someone's life.
He could fight for mix rights better if he understood a bit more
about why people wanted slaves, and how the slaves felt with their
furry bodies and animal heads. John was a bit lonely, saw there
were Furson support groups, and made a fateful decision.

John Thomas remembered the lovely skunkgirl and her French
owner, and became Jacques Skunk.

Andre Weasel had his photog mentor, and moved into Hubert's
loft. The older man had spent many evenings discussing Going Furry
with Andre, and wasn't too shocked when the ... animal ... rang the
doorbell. Andre Weasel still had hands to use the cameras, and now
his eyes and ears worked even better. But he'd lost something, and
his artistic sense suffered a bit, because he just couldn't see
very subtle color differences anymore!

He could still set a mood with light, though, and started
photographing other Fursons. BioSyn sent their reps with them, and
were favorably impressed by Andre's professionalism. They didn't
care he had another male in the place as long as the photos sold
people on Going Furry.

Hubert had a problem, and it was because of his job. He'd
been developing film by hand for decades. Yeah, consumers just go
to chemists and get machines to break open, develop, and print their
amateur pics, and that's OK. No insult at all, if you just want quick
vacation pics.

Professionals are held to higher standards, to get paid for
it. So they need greater control, artistically and technically. They
still used developer, stop, and fixer; liquid chemical baths you time
and adjust to get the illusion of depth from flat paper. But the
chemicals are poisonous, and you have to know how to handle and
dispose of them safely.

Hubert was as careful as anyone could be, but he still had
to duck his hands in the poison to hold the film. It stained his
fingers, and soaked through his skin into his blood. Hubert was
slowly poisoned by the silver and other heavy metals.

He had a little time to settle his affairs, and Andre cried
with him as Hubert deteriorated. It was quick at the end, and Hubert
didn't suffer. Hubert could've spent his savings for a few more months
but he'd lived a good long life, and Andre inherited Hubert's life-
long love of photography as well as the savings and loft.

It was very hard for Andre to go back to the now empty loft,
and he got very depressed and started drinking heavily. It wasn't
healthy, and BioSyn was his Furson healthcare provider. They had
head docs, that Andre had seen to get used to the fur; and now he
needed them again.

Some African-American guy had just Gone Furry and was in the
same waiting room. Andre had a thing for black-and-white furry guys,
and fell in love immediately with the lonely-looking Skunk. Maybe it
was just rebound from his own pain and need, but Andre needed a friend
and Jacques Skunk wanted to help the bedraggled Weasel. Andre cleaned
up his health for the Skunk and they moved into Hubert's old loft.

Andre threw himself back into BioSyn photography, and Jacques
used their contacts in BioSyn to agitate for mix rights. Soon Andre
had a BioSyn shoot with a light-gray and white CatGirl with dark-gray
gloves and boots. The three became friends although Gina was kinda
secretive about her life, but that was usual for Cats. When a TomCat
named Horace showed up one day, saying he'd seen Andre's work, Jacques
saw the black-and-white fur and knew Andre'd want him.

For photos and other stuff. Jacques loved the Weasel for
letting him into Andre's life, giving him a home, and for the fur.
I said skunks like it rough, and Weasel&Skunk had done some adult
things with bondage so Jacques could find out what slaves and owners
felt. Email me if you want the details.

Andre liked the name Jacques, since he was French, and the
two were pretty liberal about their feelings. Hugs and kisses feel
good, and it doesn't matter what parts your partner has. You just
enjoy what's there. Andre liked Jacques' outie as well as Gina's innie.
