As soon as the lights died out they started to circle them lazily and Evan broke out into a cold sweat.\n\nRed asked him \"what is wrong with these shadows?\"\n\nEvan opened and closed his mouth before explaining \"when I mean by living nightmare I mean it takes your worst nightmares and make them come true until it passes.\u0026nbsp; As a kid I had a scary book I never thought I had on my bookshelf entitled scary stories for sleepovers.\u0026nbsp; Some of the stories were scary if not disturbing but 'Shadow Play' was the worst.\u0026nbsp; When I was thirteen I read it and got scared, I still do because that short story is fucking terrifying.\u0026nbsp; Stay away from the shadows or else we might end up as the kids entire family in it including him dead.\"\n\nThey huddled together with their lit torches and Evan bit his bottom lip as he gently stroked Reds ears making him slowly calm down.\n\nRed in the mean time was terrified this was a threat that could very easily kill him Elh but most of all his little sister.\u0026nbsp; Red never wanted anything bad to happen to her however now that is out the window.\n\nEvan grimaced seeing a wolf sized shadow the size of him and replied \"I loathe this feeling especially when it regards to the fact that we can all easily die.\u0026nbsp; These shadows are highly hostile, there behind us, their above us, their simply bellow us.\u0026nbsp; If the torches go out...\"\n\nThey felt a chill crawl down their spines holding back soft whimpers before long the shadows vanished.\n\nElh looked a tad confused and replied \"how come their gone?\"\n\nEvan shook his head before stiffening as he replied \"oh no...\"\n\nRed didn't like that as he answered \"the phenomenon acts three times before it lets up and afterwards it will go away.\u0026nbsp; However it also tracks the biggest traces of fear...\"\n\nRed paled before he heard soft footsteps behind him.\n\nRed stiffened before slowly looking behind his shoulder and blanched seeing a cold grey furred caninu wearing a dark blue shirt.\u0026nbsp; On his back was a very familiar gunblade as his eyes widened in shock gazing upon his blue eyes and whispered \"Archer...\"\n\n\u0026nbsp; Evan stiffened before paling as he escorted Chocolat and Elh to the other side of the cabin breaking out into a cold sweat.\u0026nbsp; Elh spoke to him \"shouldn't you help him?\"\n\nEvan whispered \"I don't know if I can Archer has spent years fine honing his sword play and skills.\u0026nbsp; Plus if know this version of him then Reds alternate future self is exactly the same one from the movie Unlimited Blade Works.\u0026nbsp; That version of Archer sought to plan to kill Shirou his past self however it creates a paradox that can destroy his world if he succeeded. \u0026nbsp;In this case due to whats happening it's this world or reality at stake!\"\n\nAt the end of that sentence Elh and Chocolat gazed at the counter guardian in raw horror who gazed at her brother with a sense of loathing.  \n  \nRed broke out into a cold sweat before slowly drawing his gun blade as Archer did the same and made the first move.\u0026nbsp; With a grunt Red blocked the attack his arms groaning as they did before he responded back as it soon turned dissolved into a clash blades that echoed across the cabin.\n\nElh whimpered as Red fought with each clash even as the others gun blade came close to slicing his jugular vein. Seconds soon turned into minutes and Red was struggling to block Archers powerful blows before a leg knocked him off his feet.\n\nHe fell onto his back with a yelp before desperately blocking a strike as the gunblade drew closer and closer to his heart.\u0026nbsp; He broke out into a cold sweat of raw terror he was scared of being turned into Archer but he was even more so scared of him killing himself.\u0026nbsp; His arms were screaming at him despite the hum of his magic circuits which began to slowly grow hotter and hotter as his prana began to drain.\n\nAs the tip of the blade grew closer and closer his hold on his own gunblade started to fade much to his horror.\u0026nbsp; Archer drew his blade back as he raised it up and lowered itself quickly with a thunderous crash sending his gunblade out of his hands.\n\nRed gazed at it in shock before looking terrified as Archer slowly stepped over him with both hands on its handle as he aimed his sword at his heart as he gave a sharp downwards thrust.\u0026nbsp; He froze however when he turned to wither away screaming in rage as the darkness faded when the sun began to emerge.\n\nAs the sun shine finally showed itself Red sat upright slowly before bursting into tears as he sobbed in fear and relief.\n\nEvan slowly walked over to him as he whispered \"well fuck, he's very shaken up...\" he knelt down and his eyes briefly widened as Red quickly embraced him and yet he had widened his arms so Chocolat and Elh could join in the hug as well.\n\n\u0026nbsp;_Next day_\n\nEvan gently shined a small light into Reds eyes before sighing as he pulled it away.\u0026nbsp; He was in the kitchen while his wife was standing next to the smaller caninu who gave her a haunted look.\n\nSheana frowned and replied \"dear what exactly happened?\"\n\nEvan sighed and replied \"the storm got us caught in the nightmare realm, its where the planets electromagnetic field combined with a strong storm which has a lot of energy makes the field produce our worst nightmares.\u0026nbsp; It's worse for him however knowing if he succeeded his world would have been destroyed because of a paradox.\"\n\nSheana growled shaking her head and added \"fucking hell this is just insane and totally scifi right here!\"\n\nEvan sighed even as he watched over Elh and Chocolat who shivered gently before gently stroking Reds right cheek gently.\n\nRed shivered closing and opening his eyes that looked bloodshot as he whispered \"please don't leave me alone, I don't want to see Archer again...\"\n\nSheana blanched as she gently rubbed his back and replied \"oh dear, he's been shell shocked deeply.\u0026nbsp;
