Lord Afir of\nSolan, has requested for travellers to seek he out at Solan Keep for\nvery important quest.\" a rather small, but very well-dressed crow\ncalled out to a flock of people standing around to listen as he spoke\nthe new rumors and news circulating the small village of Solan.\n\nNot far from the flock, a male fox\nnamed Gillis stood and listened with his two companions, a male eagle\nnamed Nolat, a male naga named Snake and a shemale wolf named Onyx,\nas he thought for himself and spoke to his companions, \"I think we\nshall go and talk to this Lord Afir. Perhaps there is a good reward\nfor us to collect.\"\nHis companions nodded as Nolat spoke\nup, \"Then lets head to the keep before some other travelling party\ntakes OUR reward.\"\nAfter asking a guard quickly for the\nway, they headed towards the keep in search of fortune.\n\nNot far ahead, a small travelling party\nof their own was heading towards the keep, all of them giving off the\naura of dominance and respect as they were walking.\nThe habitants of the village moved\naside as Jaeger, a male snake; Tonyx, a male dingo; Amethyst, a herm\ndragon; and Veedway, a male dragon, passed them by, led by who seemed\nto been the self-appointed leader of the group, Shadoweye, a herm\nchimeric dragon.\nJaeger looks around before he could\nnotice the other group advancing really fast towards the keep,\nquickly calling out to Shadoweye, \"Hey, Lady Shadoweye, lets run,\nwe got others wanting our bounty.\"\nShadoweye don't even look back before\nAmethyst is looking at the other group before she stopped in her\ntrack, having the group following them quickly slow down before she\nstopped them, \"Listen, this is our reward, so get lost now.\"\nGillis gave her an irritating look\nbefore grabbing his swords, \"We are better equipped than you five,\nso stand back.\"\n\n\nJust as the two were glaring daggers at\neach other, Onyx spoke up for a quick moment, \"Why don't we join up\nforces for it? The more we are, the faster we will get it done and\nover with.\"\nThe two kept glaring daggers before\nnodding and not saying a single word as all nine of them walked to\nthe keep.\nWhen arriving at the doorstep, two\nguards were looking them over and let them inside, \"The lord is\nwaiting in the library on the second floor.\nJust take the stairs and it is the\nthird door on the right in the left wing.\" Thanking the guard for\nhis polite help, they ascended the stairs and followed his directions\nbefore knocking on the door, a very aristocratic voice calling out,\n\"What is it? I wished to not be disturbed unless it is of\nimportance.\"\n\n\"We are coming to accept your quest\nof dire need, your lordness.\" Gillis spoke before opening the door\nand letting themselves in before the lord could even reply.\nTurning around, the tall male wolf\nlooked at group entering and gave them a small smile, \"I must say,\nI was expecting a small group and not a small army. I am Lord Afir.\nAnd who may I be having the honor of speaking to?\"\nThe nine looked at each other before\nintroducing themselves one by one.\n\nAmethyst - \"I'm Amethyst of the House\nof Ironscale, Ardent and follower of Bahamut, and master spearwoman.\"\nGillis - \"My name is Gillis Haege, of\nthe House of Kitsuna, the bounty hunter of justice.\"\nJaeger - \"Name's Jaeger of the House\nof Grimsnake, also known as Jaeger the Venomous.\"\nNolat - \"I'm Nolat of the House of\nSilkwing, master swordmage and illusionist.\"\nOnyx - \"My name, your honorable\nlordness, is Onyx, Cleric of Pelor and exorcist against evils that\ntaint our world.\"\nShadoweye - \"The honor is all ours,\nmy lord. I am Queen Shadoweye of Morgova, honorable duelist and\ntactical expert.\"\nSnake - \"I'm Snake of the House of\nCobraz and current Ranger Lord.\"\nTonyx - \"My name is Tonyx of the\nHouse of Summerbreeze, righteous fighter for the ones who are too\nweak to defend themselves.\"\nVeedway - \"I am Veedway of the House\nof Constantine, Paladin of Bahamut and protector of my friends and\nallies.\"\n\nThe introductions made Afir's eyes\nraise a bit, they weren't your ordinary mercenaries you picked from\nthe road, they were all honorable people as well.\nLetting the words sink in, he soon\nfound the words again, \"It is a great honor for me too, you came\nhere to seek for the quest I sought travellers for. It is just a\nsmall cleaning of some nuisance at the Crypt of Mooncleave. Some\nguards have heard rumors from travellers about vermins running in and\nout of the crypt at night, some even attacking the travellers and\ntaking their package back into their lair. I want you to go to the\ncrypt and check up if the rumors are true or false. Anything you find\nwill be yours, but I will only pay you if you can show proof of the\nrumors being true or false.\"\nThe group didn't needed any more\ninformation as they bowed and Gillis spoke up, \"I can make sure\nthat we will bring back a positive answer with no lies, Lord Afir.\"\nWith those words, the nine left the\nlibrary after the lord handed them a map over the area, the crypt\nmarked with a red circle around it.\nTaking the map and looking at it, Snake\nsighed, \"Seems like we got a half days walk in front of us.\"\n\nAs they were travelling towards the\ncrypt, a storm appeared out of nowhere, forcing them to take cover in\nan abandon house.\nThere was food still standing on the\ntable in the dining room, enough for three people to eat.\nInstead of eating the food, they packed\nit into Snake's backpack just as the sound of the door opening to the\nhouse, all nine of them watching as two goblins entered, surprised\nwith finding them there, \"Looks like we got some intruders!\"\nSeeing how they were only two, the\ngroup got themselves ready for battle.\n\nFirst one to make a move is Onyx who\nbrings out her holy symbol to pray for a radiant strike, however the\nstrike is dodged by the goblin she had targetted, leaving Tonyx open\nto swing his fullblade towards the same goblin that had dodged her\nattack, but the swing missed and hit a chair instead.\n\nAmethyst had focused herself on taking\ncare of the other goblin, quickly moving in and delivering a heavy\nstrike towards the goblin, managing to deliver a rather swift cut\nthat didn't left much of a wound afterwards.\nSeeing how both the goblins are moving\nbackwards and grabbing their javelins, throwing one towards Tonyx and\nAmethyst, Tonyx quickly shielding himself with his sword, hearing how\nAmethyst getting hit by the javelin and watches it hang from the side\nof her stomach as she gasps from it.\nSnake takes out an arrow and fires it\nbefore taking out another one and firing at the same goblin that hurt\nAmethyst, seeing one arrow missing as the other pierces into the\ngoblin's chest, the blood beginning to slowly pour out of the wound\nas it moves backwards before feeling how something inside his body\nwas burning when Jaeger curses the goblin before firing off a spell,\nwhich sends the goblin into a wall as the curse burns out the last of\nits life, leaving the only remaining goblin to watch in fear at his\ncompanion's execution.\n\nThe sight had left the goblin unable to\nmove for a bit before Nolat spoke out to him, \"Unless you wanna\njoin him, I suggest you surrender.\"\nPutting his pride on the line, the\ngoblin shaked his head in reply, \"No, I stay and fight! Boss will\ngive me a big reward for your heads.\"\nSeeing no other way to speak to the\ngoblin, Nolat grabbed his own fullblade and moved in quickly to\ndeliver a powerful swing towards it, green flames covering the sword\nas it began to cut across the goblin's chest, the scream of pain from\nthe goblin echoing in the house before the sound of heavy armor could\nbe heard when Shadoweye moved in closer, delivering a swipe with her\naxe towards the goblin as a louder scream of pain could be heard as\nthe axe chopped right into the already bloody wound and soon got held\nby the throat by her.\nThe sound of someone approaching\nquickly makes him fight back from being held by her as Gillis made\nhis way behind the scared goblin before readying one of his blades\nand swinging against the back of the goblin, the blade cutting deeply\ninto the goblin and soon his spine was showing for them all.\nThe goblin just bites his teeth\ntogether before he could hear the heaviest sound of armor coming\ntowards him and moving behind him.\nThe sudden scream could be heard when\nVeedway grabs the goblin's spine and tears it right out of the now\nlifeless goblin before throwing it aside and walking over to Amethyst\nto help her heal the wound she got after pulling out the javelin that\nhad now snapped.\n\nDeciding to rest up, they began to loot\nthe goblins of what they had been carrying, salvaging a few javelins,\nsome spears and what is left of some leather armor, aswell as a few\nsilver and copper coins.\nWaiting for Veedway to help Amethyst\ngetting back on her feet, they could see how the night was beginning\nto fall and they decided sleep over night in the house, having\nsomeone guarding while the others slept and changed every hour until\nmorning came and they had eaten one of their rations before heading\nout on the road again.\nFollowing it for the next couple of\nhours, they kept themselves occupied with conversations, arriving at\nwhat seems to be the crypt at the break of day, watching as three\nbloodied scorpions came running out of the crypt's entrance, not\nbothering to even attack the travelling group and ran towards the\nforest.\nSeeing no other choice now, they all\ngrab their weapons and begins to enter the old crypt.\n\nThe inside of the crypt was a bit warm\nand the illumination is average, enough of them to see as they are\nable to notice the iron door, but also able to notice the lock trap\non the door, Nolat moves closer to look at it, \"Seems like someone\nis not wanting to be disturbed so easily here. Think anyone of you\ncan disable it?\"\nLooking at one another, Snake soon\nsighs as he makes his way closer, \"I am not proficient with the\nart, but I can still try.\"\nGrabbing an arrow from his quiver,\nSnake leans in to work with the mechanics of the lock, feeling the\npins jumping into place before he pushes all of the arrow in and soon\nhears the device giving up before he pulls the arrow out and smiles\nto his companions, \"Seems we all got a thief inside us.\"\n\nFeeling on the door, he feels that it\nis stuck in place, so he is moving backwards and fires an arrow at\nthe door, the velocity and power from the lone arrow being enough to\nleave a mark on the surface of the door, before Shadoweye moves in\ncloser and makes a leaping strike at the door with her axe ready at\nhand, delivering a mighty blow before she spun around to strike with\nher fist, missing it and instead spinning around one more time before\nmoving backwards in dizziness.\nAs the others watches on, Nolat brings\nhis fullblade out once more and swings at the door, making a powerful\ncontact as the green flames covering the sword is spreading across\nthe entire surface of the door, slowly beginning to melt it away.\nMaking a swift leap, Tonyx grabs his\nown fullblade before swinging towards the door after jumping over\nShadoweye, the sword hitting the melting mass and cutting down a good\nbit on it.\nNoticing how the door is nearly\nunlocked now by unprofessional means, they watch as Veedway is making\nhis way over and moves Tonyx aside before using the hilt of his sword\nto knock the door, without any result.\nLooking ashamed of the result, Veedway\nsteps aside as Jaeger fires off a spell and manages to break the door\nopen enough for them to slowly slide it open a bit.\n\nAs Tonyx looks inside and notices the\ntraps and also the same scorpions as before, Snake moves closer to\nlook inside aswell, noticing the traps and then the scorpions, trying\nto remember his lessons about all the species inhabiting the world.\nIt doesn't take him long enough as he\ngasps, \"I remember now. Those are stormclaw scorpions. They usually\nhunt by night and they often infest desert tombs and ruins, since\nthey like to nest in dark places. Their claws is what makes them\nspecial, they are crackling with electricity. Also, there are traps\nin there and it seems to be pressure plates here. Give me a second to\ntry something.\"\nTaking his bow and pulling out an\narrow, he pulls the string back before taking aim at what he thinks\nis a pressure plate, letting it go after carefully aiming and sees\nthe arrow hitting the plate and catching the attention of one of the\nscorpions that are moving over to the arrow.\nWhen the scorpion steps on the pressure\nplate, the trap activates and the scorpion gets itself and some of\nits friends bathed in the acid spraying out from one of the traps.\nComplete panic breaks out as the\nscorpions are now triggering the other traps in the room.\nThe party watches the small show inside\nthe room, before they begin to push the door open when the last trap\nhas been set off before seeing how four of the six scorpions was\nlaying dead on the floor while two were still standing, one of them\nbloodied and seeming to still wanna put up a fight.\n\nPreparing themselves for the battle,\nGillis charges in and swings his swords at the scorpion that doesn't\nbleed, hoping to get a few cuts on it as he delivers a light swing on\ntop of the head on it before leaping to the side and swinging out at\nthe bleeding one, but misses as it blocks with the tail, leaving him\nin a bad position.\nNoticing the first scorpion moving over\ntowards him, he is worried as it soon latches out with one of the\nclaws, being denied by an expert manuever from Gillis as the other\nscorpion latches out in hope to catch him and does so, pinching hard\nas the fox is screaming gently in pain.\nHaving been watching it all, Amethyst\nrushes in with her spear high in the air, charging up energy in it\nbefore attempting a strike at the scorpion holding Gillis, only to\nhit the floor next to it instead.\nGillis grunts out at her, \"Learn to\nuse your weapon next time!\"\nHearing the painful scream, Onyx was\nfollowing after Amethyst before seeing for herself what trouble\nGillis had gotten himself into, her holy symbol coming forth in her\nhand as she aims for the scorpion and fires off a radiant lance, the\nlance piercing the scorpion's defense and shattering inside to leave\na hole right through it, enough to kill it on the spot.\nLooking at the now only standing\nscorpion, Snake prays to Melora for a good shot before he ready his\nbow with an arrow and carefully aims before letting the arrow travel\nthrough the air, but notices it just bouncing off the top of it and\nhitting a wall, \"Are they wearing armor or something?\"\nTaking the distraction from the arrow\nas a cover, Shadoweye moves quickly towards the scorpion, ready for\nanything it may do to her before she delivers a blow towards the head\nof it with her axe, managing to dig it a bit in before she tries to\npunch it hard, but only ends up hurting herself from how hard the\nchitin really is.\nNolat can hear the fight going on in\nthe room and wastes no time running right in and charging the\nscorpion with a fearsome leap as the fullblade once again baths in\ngreen flames, the blade just managing to cut down a bit into the\nscorpion's top before Tonyx holds out a holy symbol to fire off a\nbolt of radiant light at the scorpion, the blast when the bolt\nexplodes being enough to tear the scorpion apart entirely.\n\nLooking around quickly, they are not\nnoticing any more scorpions, but they do notice a treasure chest\nwhich they move over to and opens up, finding it to be unlocked as\nthey look inside, Nolat quickly making his way over and pushing the\nothers aside to get to it, \"Let me have a look here.\"\nAs he took a look inside, he could find\na spiked gauntlet, but it was giving off an aura of magic which he is\ndeciding to check a bit deeper, finding out it hurts more on enemies\nthat haven't been injured at all.\nPutting it aside for later, he keeps\nrummaging through the treasures to find a few scrolls containing the\nritual for summoning a floating disk and a waist which also gives off\nan aura of magic, a quick check making it known to be a belt to\nempower the healing.\nThe loot quickly finds its way into\nSnake's backpack with the rest, making the snake huff a bit over how\nit is getting a bit heavier now.\n\nLooking at the doors that they could\nsee in the room, they look at one another before Gillis asks, \"So,\nwhich one should we go through?\"\nTaking a quick moment to think,\neveryone agrees on taking the door to the far left when they had\nentered the room, Snake moving over to it and takes out an arrow to\nattempt to unlock it since he can't push it open, fiddling around\nbefore the arrow breaks and he is needing to pull it out and try\nagain with a new one, going through three arrows before the fourth\nfinally opens the door and they can go through.\nAs they walk the unlocked door, they\ncould see a long corridore in front of them as they are walking for a\ncouple of seconds before they can hear a howling sound, leaving them\nscared for a moment, but resuming their dwelling as they notice a\npath on the right side leading somewhere, the decision coming quickly\nas they decide to split up and check the different ways. Gillis,\nNolat, Onyx and Snake heading forward while the rest heads down the\npath to see what is there.\n\nHeading down the path, Shadoweye could\nsoon notice a door at the end of the path and orders Tonyx to move\ncloser.\nUsing his hearing and nose, Tonyx is\nmoving backwards and looks at them, \"Sounds like a flock of\nmosquitos in there and I feel the scent of fumes in there.\"\nSeeing it as a cue, Jaeger reaches into\nhis backpack and brings out a flint-n-steel before looking at Tonyx,\n\"Think you can get it open?\"\nTonyx shrugs and gets down on his knees\nto work the lock, \"If the snake could do it, surely I can too.\"\nAfter fiddling with the lock for two\nminutes, the clicking sound could be heard and Tonyx slowly begins to\nopen the door, seeing how Jaeger is getting ready. \"On the count of\nthree, close the door quickly.\"\nNodding, Tonyx was ready to close the\ndoor as Jaeger counts, \"One... two...\" seeing that Jaeger is\nabout to call it out, Tonyx begins to close the door when Jaeger\ncalls out \"Three!\" and quickly smacks the flint-n-steel together\nto create a spark, enough to ignite all the fume inside the room and\ncausing a huge explosion that slams the door shut hard.\nThe screeching sound inside telling\nthem that they may or may not have succeeded with their plan, opening\nup the door slowly to peek inside, they are met by the sight of seven\nangry stirges flying, but seeming to be on the brink of death, the\nsight making the group laughing before they hear the stirges\nattacking them.\n\nIn horror, Shadoweye and Jaeger tries\nto defend themselves, but screams in pain as two stirges grabs them\nand begins to slowly drain them of their blood, the others seeing\nthis and quickly moving in to attack, Veedway seeing no other choice\nthan praying to Bahamut before making a swing towards Jaeger, hoping\nhe doesn't injure him further. The swing goes perfectly and Jaeger\nsoon feels a stirge falling off him, but one still remaining.\nJaeger looks at the stirge hanging on\nhim and aims his staff at it, hissing angrily in hope that it will\nwork before he fires off a spell, but misses the stirge entirely,\neven after sacrificing some of his life energy to make sure it will\nhit.\nAmethyst looks in horror at the violent\nattack and hopes it will work out when she strikes with her spear\nwhen it has charged up with energy, only to hit Jaeger instead of the\nstirge, the energy giving him a boost of health that quickly\ndisappears when he is hit by the spear.\nAmethyst looks shocked and worried\nbefore she pulls the spear back as Shadoweye throws the stirges off\nherself, Jaeger trying the same, but being unable to when he screams\nin pain from the feasting stirge while more are attacking him and\nShadoweye.\nOne of the stirges soon flies back and\ngrabs onto Shadoweye to continue its feast before a loud scream of\npain can be heard from Jaeger when he is suddenly falling onto the\nfloor unconsious as another stirge joins the party, feasting on his\nblood, soon pulling away from him before they are aiming for a new\nmeal.\n\nShadoweye tries to pull off the stirge,\nbut finds it hanging on tighter to her now as she looks at Jaeger's\nbody and soon takes her axe and strikes at the bloodsucking vermin,\nchopping the head clean off on it before tossing it aside and taking\na deep breath as she unleashes a powerful breath of acid at the\nremaining stirges in a loud shout \"Bath in the acid of your\ndeath!\".\nWatching how four of the five alive\nmosquito-bats are being turned into slimy mass of vital organs and\nblood, the lone stirge lands and quickly begins to lap up the blood\nfrom the flagstone floor, leaving itself exposed for Tonyx to make a\nfast move over to it and swing his fullblade at full power, cleaving\nit in half before he rushes over to Jaeger's body with the others,\nVeedway and Amethyst already doing all they can to help him.\n\nWorking with the skills of medics,\nJaeger soon coughes as they are healing him, \"Darn... bastards.\nTook me down well...\"\nQuickly getting silenced by Tonyx, he\nis laying still while recovering, just as the other group comes\nrunning to the room, gasping at how it looks in there, as Shadoweye\nbrings them up on the information while Nolat has found the treasure\nchest and is already going through it, \"Some silver, some gems, a\nribbon with feathers... oh, some clearwater solution, good when you\nneed to make sure something isn't deadly. And a hide armor... but it\nis something with it.\"\nRunning his talon over it, Nolat can't\nfigure out what the armor does.\nSnake looks around and notices that\nbehind the faded and torn tapestry is a chest, making his way over to\nit and attempts to open it up, but fails.\nShadoweye, Veedway and Gillis walks\nover and nods to each other, readying their weapons and making a hard\nstrike on the same spot on the chest's side, but without result\nbefore Jaeger fires off his spell and shoots the lid off the chest,\nshowing a heavy loot inside the chest, Nolat rushing over to get a\ngood view, only to get shoved back by Veedway as Shadoweye leans in\nand goes through this chest's loot, \"Some gold, silver and copper,\na few gems, a wooden staff that doesn't even seem to be magical, a\nchoker of silk and trimmed with ermine fur, a hide armor and some\nholy water.\" When Nolat heard about the hide armor, he was quickly\nto his talons and moved over to the other chest and brought out\nanother hide armor, concentrating this time harder to find a\nconnection between them and what they do, only finding out that it\nraises physical attributes, once again packing it all into Snake's\nbackpack, hearing him complain even more at this, when Gillis tells\nthem the report, \"The corridore led back to the room from which we\ncame, so we are only having one door left now. Shall we go?\"\nNodding at each other, they began to\nwalk back to the room to unlock the door that they had yet to unlock.\n\nArriving at the door, Snake took out\nanother arrow and was about to attempt to unlock it before Veedway\ngrunts and attempts to break it down instead with the help of\nShadoweye.\nThe first attempt doesn't go well as\nthe door don't even move a single inch, they do however see that it\nmoves upwards a bit.\nLeaning down and grabbing onto the\nbottom of the door, they attempt to lift it up only to find it too\nheavy until Amethyst joins in to help them on the third try, which\nfinally allows them to push it up and being welcomed by the glaring\neyes of a few rats.\n\"By Bahamut's grandmother!\" Veedway\ncalls out before they readied themselves for battle against the rats.\n\nThe rats begins to charge in, Veedway\nable to dodge one attacking him, while Shadoweye isn't able to and\nfeels the bite from one of them, which doesn't exactly hurt that\nmuch.\nSeeing the rats moving in quickly,\nSnake prepares two arrows quickly, firing them one after the other\nonly to miss one but killing a second one with a perfect shot.\nShadoweye launches herself at one of\nthe giant rats after the pain subsides a bit and swings her axe\nquickly, but misses as she stumbles back onto her feet and quickly\nstands ready to defend herself, as a sudden light of green flames\ndashes past her and strikes for one of the rats, the strike cleaving\nit right apart before Nolat would feel a rat trying to attack him,\ngiving off a light whine as he felt the fangs sink in, rather\nirritated at this.\nA familiar light suddenly appears near\nhim and suddenly the rat explodes from a blast of light as Tonyx\nchuckles, \"You okay?\"\n\nClearing his throat, Veedway steps\nforth and looks at the rat, just kicking towards it and sends it\nacross the room and right into the wall behind it before Jaeger moves\nin and opens his mouth to unleash a cloud of toxic gas which kills\nthe last two remaining of the giant rats before he notice two more\nrats standing there, a bit smaller, but still dangerous as he gives\nthem a grin and soon unleashes his shadow to attack them, hearing one\nof them squeaking in pain as it bites down hard on it.\nAngered by seeing their allies falling\nso quickly, the two rats charges in to bite Jaeger, one of them\nmanages to bite him, infecting the snake with filth fever.\nJaeger hisses out in pain before the\nfever is getting to him and he is panting a bit, as Gillis comes\nrunning in and quickly swings his blades at the rats, hitting them\nboth and cutting nicely as they squeak angrily from the pain.\nAmethyst sneaks up behind Gillis before\nbeginning to attempt helping Jaeger to get better, after swinging her\nspear, hitting one of the rats hard as the energy she had charged in\nthe attack goes right into Jaeger to provide him with cover, the loud\nsqueak from the spear burying itself deep into the rat only making it\nmore worth it for her.\nOnyx, who have heard it all, moves into\nthe room and quickly illuminates the room before bathing most of the\nparty in a divine light, the rats squeaking in pain when they could\nfeel the light burning on their bodies, one of them burning into a\ncrisp.\n\nThe sound of a bow drawing could be\nheard before Snake calls out for everyone to dodge when suddenly two\nrapidly fired arrows are flying by towards the rat. Both of the\narrows finds their mark on the rat that squeaks out when blood pours\nout really fast from its body, the heavy steps of Shadoweye not\nmaking it any better before she swings her axe at the bleeding\nvermin, hearing it squeak out and blood splattering around when it\nmakes contact, soon followed up by a punch that brings it to the\nverge of its death.\nNolat moves over before lifting his\nsword to take aim and swings it down to decapitate the rat before\neveryone gathers around to tend to Jaeger, who after a few minutes\nhave with their help won over the filth fever.\n\nHearing the sound of feet from the\nnearby room, they do listen before opening the treasure chest.\nNolat this time not moving in quickly\nto loot it, but stands aside as Gillis leans over to look into it and\nbringing out whatever he finds in there, \"Some gold, silver and\ncopper coins, a few gems, an iron chime, a pair of leather boots with\nwhat seems like copper buckles, a leather ribbon, a hide armor, some\nessences, and that's it.\"\nLooking at the hide armor, Nolat\ndoesn't even bother to check it and they head for the last room,\nseeing how someone is moving inside there as a voice is calling out,\n\"You can't get us, we are safe in here behind this gate.\"\nNoticing the trap, Snake reaches up\nwith his arrow to disable it and manages to before he moves aside for\nShadoweye and Veedway as they charge at the wooden portcullis, but\nflies back as their impact wasn't enough to even break it.\nGetting up on their feet, the duo soon\nmade a second charge at it, only to end up tumbling back across the\nfloor.\nTheir pure anger could be seen as\nShadoweye reaches out her arms, feeling Amethyst and Veedway grabbing\nthem and almost whiplashing her into a bull rush against the\nportcullis, the impact this time shattering the wood and sending\nsplinters flying all around the room before Shadoweye came to a halt\nin front of four scared goblins.\n\nThe leader moves up as the rest of the\nparty moves into the room, \"Please, lets talk about this.\"\nThe goblin looks at the weaponry\neveryone carries around, swallowing before Shadoweye speaks up, \"Why\nare you sending your minions to plunder travellers and kill them?\nAlso, who are you?\"\nThe goblin moves backwards, bringing\nout his spear before speaking, \"Because we are needing to collect\nmoney for our leader. I'm his third in command, Grint Bluntspear.\"\nGillis moves closer and looks at the\ngoblin, \"Grint Bluntspear, you say? I've heard there is a bounty on\nyour head. How about a deal? We leave your treasure chest here alone\nfor your leader if you follow with us.\"\nGrint looks at Gillis before replying,\n\"How do I know that you won't break your end of it?\"\nVeedway makes his way over to them,\n\"Listen, we could just have charged in here and ignored your wish\nto talk, slaughtered you all and taken the treasure for ourselves,\nbut we are honorable enough to let you speak, so why would we go back\non something like this then?\"\nGrint looks annoyed at Veedway, \"You\nslaughtered our pets and expect to believed to be honorable for it?\"\nVeedway looks at the dead rats and then\nback at the goblin, \"Atleast you didn't attack us and provoke us to\ndefend ourselves from you, do you call it honor or fear? I say that\nis honor and I respond with honor and so do we all, so will you\nbelieve us or not?\"\nSeeing the honesty and honor in the\nwords, Grint nods, \"Very well then, I shall follow with you. But\nkeep your end of the deal.\"\nVeedway nodded before Grint was tied up\nand the party began to head out the crypt and back towards Solan.\n\nAfter a day of travelling on foot, they\narrived back in Solan, the townspeople cheering them on as they came\nback, smiles on their faces and with a rather humiliated goblin as\nthey were making their way to the keep.\nAfter getting let in by the guards at\nthe door, they ascended the stairs and headed for the library where\nthe wolf sat in a chair, reading a book just as he heard them\nentering, \"Ah, you have returned. And I see that you... is that who\nI think it is? Grint Bluntspear!? Where did you find him?!?\"\nFilling the lord in quickly on the\ndetails of what transpired at the crypt, the face on the lord only\ngot more and more worried, especially the mentioning of a leader.\nMoving over to the window, he was\nfrowning and looked out, \"So we got worse trouble at hand now. I'm\ngrateful for your service to Solan. I will have the guards escort\nGrint to his jail cell. He will sit off his crimes there. Now, that\nreward can be collected from the captain of the guards.\"\nLord Afir soon takes out two tokens and\ntosses to Gillis, \"Give these to her. She will know what they\nmean.\"\nGiving him a nod, he bids them farewell\nand wishes them to stay at the inn, at his own cost.\nBowing in gratefulness for his\ngenerousity, they began to descend the stairs after leaving the\nlibrary, asking a guard for directions until they arrived at the\nbarracks on the outside of the keep.\n\nInside it sits an old lioness with an\neyepatch over the left eye.\nLooking with her good eye at them, she\ngrowls, \"What the heck do you want?\"\nTossing her the tokens, she is taking\nthem and examines before a wide grin forms on her muzzle, \"So you\ntook care of the crypt's rumors and caught Grint at the same time.\nNot bad for a group of travellers.\"\nShe gets up and walks over to a\nfootlocker which she picks up and hands over to them before heading\nback to bring over a longsword covered in a weak aura of bloodthirst,\n\"There, the footlocker is for the crypt and this longsword is for\ntaking care of Grint.
