It is merely the premise as to why the rest of the series is the way that it is and hopefully an indication as to wether you will like my writing style and content.
Before we get too far ahead of ourselves this series is aimed primarily between pokephilia and bdsm if such themes offend your senses then in the top right hand corner of your browser you will find a little cross so that you can get on with treading on eggshells lolz.

just a heads up SO FURRY formatting is shit and it kept reverting to japanese unicode so i gave up bothering?

Dark Type - Part 1

My dad always worked long hours in the beginning and things were pretty hard.

Then he moved companies and suddenly everything was hush hush.

He didn't want to talk about his research or who he worked for now; but the worst part was he never seemed to be around anymore.

That all changed though.

I noticed one day when he came home he just went straight to his study with a box.

I found it unusual in that usually it was a couple of books with his keys out with his drive on it.

I never got to see what went on in his study as he would always shout at me to get out and that he was very busy, but something was odd.

He had been a pile of nerves the last time i saw him, but as he strode into his office he almost looked.... relieved.

Luckily for me he hadn't shut the door properly and i slid it just a crack open enough to peer in from the dim hallway.

I heard him flitter around a cabinet before watching him retrieve a small object and return to his desk.

He had taken something out of the box like some small silvery jar muttering something about a fortune.

Then he looked up at the door and I had to quickly duck away before he caught me.

When I returned later that night the door was locked tight and there was a soft blue glow emanating under the doorjam.

I thought he might of left his computer on and I had gotten into the habit of looking up some fun things when he was out like a light so I went and fetched the bobby pin I had bent to undo the lock.

I mean it wasn't like he was going to catch me.

It wasn't his computer though the whole room was being bathed in this glow from an instrument on his desk.

Kind of like a pen light.

It was curiously pointed at his microscope and the steel cannister.

I tried looking through the microscope to see what he was seeing earlier that had him in such a good mood but there was nothing there.

So Fidling about with the top I eventuallty managed to opened the container.

It wasn't easy as it was a pretty weird design.

When i got inside it though i didn't really see much the light was too low.

I tried tilting it towards the penlight so i could see better, but there was a weight in it that shifted suddenly with a sloshing noise so i jammed the lid back on it before i spilt any, but i guess some got on the rim.

It didn't hurt me it was just kind of oily and kind of dark, but it could of been purple for all i knew in this light.

I sniffed the side of my finger trying to work out what it was, but it didn't really smell like anything in particular.

It was just an oil I guessed.

I made sure I put everything back where it was and started looking up porn.

Later on that night I crept back to bed locking the study.

The next day I had school and it sucked as usual.

It's always the same a half hour of lining up for roll after trudging up the old hill that always took forever just to get there.

Followed by the usual boring subjects, we even had some stupid cross country thing in P.E.

At lunch the older kids were sitting around with their pokemon, hell even a couple in my grade had them now and didn't that cause a stir.

All my friends were crowding round them making a big fuss.

I still don't know why I wasn't allowed to have one.

Slowly the school day drew to an end.

I didn't have many friends, nobody ever really came over much or walked home with me, I guess that's why I just ran off to be by myself now and then.

I usually couldn't get far, i wasn't stupid i didn't go out into the forest.

My dad didn't seem to notice, when i was late home.

I had walked through to his study thinking he might be working at his computer again.

He wasn't there though, so he must of been taking a nap.

I ended up just heading to my room to read.

I would like to say something cool happened that afternoon, but the day was a wash.

Not as much of a wash as the rest of the week turned out to be though.

It started raining that night and quickly built up, the t.v. said we were catching the tail of a hurricane.

I ended up being trapped at home the first 2 days as the wind was just too strong to go out in

and by the end most of the area was flooded.

When the water finally started to subside everywhere just looked dirty and people we're shovelling the mud off the roads.

It didn't take long for the news crews and disaster relief teams to move in.

There wasn't much damage where I lived, but the pokemon were the worst off and the local pokemon center was swamped with ferals caught out in the area.

It took a long time to get back to anywhere near normal again, especially when the now pampered ferals started deciding to stay.

At first the pokemon center was driving to get people to adopt them, then trying to ship them out to other centers I guess so they had a better chance of getting the now rare daycare spots.

I didn't take too much notice to be honest; I had been really tired lately and I had started feeling pretty sick.

The nurse checked me out and gave me some antibiotics saying alot of the water in the town was contaminated.

I ended up staying home another week.

There was really nothing to do during the week and I just felt that shit?all?I could pretty much do was read.

I didn't have much, but guess what? Father of the year had been leaving me to fend for myself... so I started taking his books from the study.

Most of it was boring and largely about the Unowns, but they kept mentioning places buried in the mountains and ancient treasures, which i guess was kind of cool.

For the next 4 months I either had my nose stuck in a book or was out the back yard secretly feeding whatever feral pokemon decided to hang around.

Dad eventually noticed his books going missing.

He was a bit mad and wanted to know how I got into his study.

Of course I lied, but he calmed down after that.

He figured i could of been doing a lot worse then reading books, but i was to ask his permission from then on.

With him out all the time or locking himself away I ended up just sticking lists on his door.

I guess that's what eventually made him realise we we're losing touch; that i was spending most of my childhood without the only family I had left.

After the following night at dinner he said he had put in for some leave, but that it wouldn't be for anouther 2 months.

Not really a normal conversation at the dinner table, more like a passing statement.

I just couldn't really care less, you either have the time or you don't.

I had stared down pretty blankly and continued pushing my food around the plate.

He asked about my grades, which were fine.

Asked if there was anywhere i'd like to go when he got off.

\\*What my case, sure anywhere but back to this table and his half arsed bullshit\\*

I ended up just saying no.

Things just went quiet for the longest time...

I miss her you know.

I don't really know what it was, but that statement just really got under my skin.

Before I knew what I was doing I had toppled my own chair over and was out the door.

I didn't know where I was going, I was just going.

"}
