# If Only You Knew Me

I was feeling upset and alone when I wrote this. It is for a friend, but it will never reach him.

My mistakes resound emptily

Round the shell of my life

Misunderstood, broken

Edged sharp as a knife

But isn't  life supposed to be,

An opportunity,

To leave your mark on this world,

For all that lives to see?

I must not have gotten it.

Was helped but so I fought it.

And so every drop of rain

Would add a little extra pain.

To the scars I cut myself

But now I do need all your help.

Because I'm dying every day

But why, I cannot say...
