That is how this poem came to be. Last night, feeling alone and down - worse than I had felt in a long, long time, I lay in bed and typed out line after line of 'promises.' These were things that I wanted and that I wanted to give to another. Rather than merely post a list, which has very little substance to it, I chose to put it together as a piece of loose-formed poetic content. I am not a poet by any means, but nonetheless, I hope you enjoy it.","content":"Hold my paw and walk with me,\n\ndown the street and by the sea.\n\nLook into my eyes and set my heart aflame,\n\nAnd I promise that I'll do the same.\n\n  \n\nTake my breath away and sweep me off my feet,\n\nbe elegant, kind, and sweet.\n\nHold me close and whisper my name,\n\nAnd I promise that I'll do the same.\n\n  \n\nMake me laugh and make me smile,\n\nso that my cheeks do hurt after a while.\n\nAnd do play a fair and honest game,\n\nAnd I promise that I'll do the same.\n\n  \n\nBe patient and there when I need you most,\n\nand when I need it, please hold me close.\n\nKnow when to be wild and when to be tame,\n\nAnd I promise that I'll do the same.\n\n  \n\nThere will be times that I will be most frustrated,\n\nbut remind me there is a reason of why we mated.\n\nFor there will be a time and place in which this to proclaim,\n\nAnd I promise that I'll do the same.\n\n  \n\nBut above all else,\n\nBe true to yourself.\n\n  \nAnd I promise that I'll do the same.  \n  \n  \n\n"}
