He looked at the sun again and groaned.  \n  \nRunning footsteps had him looking towards city entrance. His friend Amusei was running toward him. He stopped several feet from him kneeling and panting. \"Sorry Vicy,\" He said. \"I had to repack my pack.\" He looked up at his friend and grinned.  \n  \nVicy smiled. \"No problem, though we have been set back some time. Let's hope that there are no wolves on the trails.\" Vicy grabbed his pack and hoisted it over his shoulder and started off down the road. His friend followed behind him.  \n  \nThe two spoke animatedly, both excited about finally leaving home to adventure into other lands. They hadn't decided where they would go yet, so just decided on letting the road guide them.  \n  \nThe two had traveled a couple of days and were close to the boarder of Cyradil when they heard a roar above their heads.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\"What was that?\" Amusei asked looking up.  \n  \n\"I don't know.\" Vicy replied. \"Get into the trees though and get low.  \n  \nThey ran to a fallen log on the side of path. Jumping over it they kneeled down just as a dragon landed heavily on the ground.  \n  \nThe dragon was massive, a deep bronze in color with a row of wicked jagged spikes running down its back. It's eyes, a deep shade of cobalt scanned the area. It reared onto its hind legs and spread its massive wings that spanned almost forty feet either way. It roared loudly as it came down on the ground making the earth shudder and tree's shake. Flames shot from its massive maw and caught the trees and brush on fire. The dragon swung its head in a wide arc making sure to set everything a blaze.  \n  \nThe log the two young argonians hid behind caught fire and Amusei jumped back catching the attention of the dragon. The dragon roared at him.  \n  \n\"Run.\" Vicy yelled grabbing up their packs and taking off deeper into the forest.  \n  \nThey felt heat behind them as the dragon spit another tongue of flames at them. The two argonians jumped and dodged trees and roots, the dragon hot on their trails crashing through the forest roaring angrily and spitting the occasional tongue flames at them.  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;They careened to a stop as they exited the woods faced with a sheer cliff overlooking a lake. Breathing hard they stared in either direction with dismay, finding no other way away from the vicious dragon.  \n  \n\"We're trapped.\" Amusei said looking back, his eyes wide with terror as he watched the dragon coming towards them.  \n  \nVicy backed up and felt a rock give under his boot. He turned slightly to look down, his mind working to calculate their odds. \"Our only choice is to jump.\" He said.  \n  \n\"Are you kidding?\" Amusei said. \"That's a good fifty foot drop, we'd never survive.\" A roar rent the air and the thunderous steps got closer.  \n  \n\"I'm not gonna be eaten by that thing.\" Vicy said. He backed up from the cliff. He stripped down to his pants. He tied his pack shut and secured his weapons to it before tossing them over the edge. His friend did the same. As another roar sounded behind them the ran to the edge of the cliff and jumped. Flames roared over their heads as they plunged down towards the water depths below.  \n  \nBoth hit the water at the same time. They're momentum carried them deep into the water. Vicy touched bottom and kicked with his legs swimming towards the surface. He gasped in air and watched his friend emerge.  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;\"Oh my god I can't believe we're alive.\" He said. They hovered in the water looking up at the sky. The dragon circle letting off a couple roars before it flew off.  \n  \nVicy smiled at his friend and they swam towards the bank. Their stuff lay disheveled on the bank. They crawled out of the water and looked around. \"Looks like we're gonna have to find another way back up.\" Vicy sighed.  \n  \nAmusei sat on a rock and groaned. \"My bags busted.\" He said grabbing some of the food that had fallen out.  \n  \n\"Mine too.\" Vicy said. \"Glad we landed in the water.\"  \n  \n\"Yeah if we fell here we'd be in pieces as well.\"  \n  \nThey gathered what they could carry tied the bags together stuffing it with what they could carry as they walked along the base of the cliff.  \n  \nBy nightfall they had made no progress in finding a path back to the higher ground.  \n  \n\"It's too dangerous to travel further in the dark. Divines know what terrors hang out here.\" Vicy said spotting a cave.  \n  \n\"Besides Mud Crabs and slaughter fish?\" Amusei mused. He kneeled down spying a large domed shell. \"Look at how big this one was.\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;Vicy shook his head. \"Lets bunk down for the night. We need to let these clothes dry anyway or our scales will chafe.  \n  \nHis friend cleaned the shell and scooped some water into it as he carried it to the cave.  \n  \nThey stripped nude and built a fire leaving their clothes beside it to dry, they stood the water filled shell in\u0026nbsp; the center of the fire. They loaded in some herbs spices and tossed in some of the venison they brought.  \n  \n\"A dragon huh.\" Amusei said after a period of silence.  \n  \n\"I thought they were extinct.\" Vicy replied.  \n  \n\"I though we'd were gonna be extinct.\" Amusei chuckled.  \n  \n\"Truth be told, me too.\" Vicy said.  \n  \nAmusei looked at him. \"But you save us both.\"  \n  \n\"Honestly I preferred a quick death than being roasted alive.\" He laughed.  \n  \n\"Wait you didn't know we'd survive?\" Amusei asked indignantly.  \n  \n\"I knew.\" Vicy replied. \"I knew the water was deep enough where we jumped, though if we flopped then...\"  \n  \nAmusei flinched. \"Remember that one guy who flopped and busted his water lung?\"  \n  \nVicy drew his knees to his chest. \"Yeah, they should have just killed him rather than letting him suffer like that.\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;They went quiet again. Amusei checked on the stew and stirred it. \"I'm happy your with me though Vicy.\" Amusei said.  \n  \nVicy looked at his friend.   \n  \n\"I would have froze back there and would probably be dung by now if not for you. You reacted quickly and we made it out of there alive.\" Amusei glanced at Vicy. \"Hell I'm sure I'd have died the moment I stepped out of Archon.\"  \n  \n\"Your tougher than that, besides I invited you on this adventure.\" He grinned. \"I'm the one who should be glad you're here.\"  \n  \nAmusei chuckled and brought out the bowls and spoons serving both of them. Amusei sat next to his friend as they ate the venison that vaguely tasted of crab.  \n  \nThey curled up on the hard ground after they finished their meal staying close to the fire for its warmth.  \n  \nMovement woke Vicy. The fire was down to embers and the world outside was dark. He sat up bumping someone kneeling over him. He reached for a knife.  \n  \n\"It's me\" Amusei said softly.  \n  \n\"What are you doing?\" Vicy asked.  \n  \n\"I'm cold, I wanted to lay beside you.\" Amusei said.  \n  \n\"Hurry up.\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;He felt his friend lay next to him. He was surprised when he felt his friend wrap his arms around him.  \n  \nVicy gazed down at his friend who made himself comfortable cuddling up to his side. The commanding officer moved into Vicy's path. \"What are you lads doing out here? There's a dragon about you know. You should be careful.\"  \n  \n\"We were actually run off the main road by a dragon.\" Vicy said. \"I'm wondering if you can tell us where to go from here. We're trying to get to the country of Cyrodiil.\"  \n  \nThe officer chuckled. \"Boy you're in Cyrodiil. Though if you're looking for a main road, just follow us. We're headed to a watch tower in Leyawiin, you can find the main road from there, and probably restock in town.\"  \n  \nThe two of them nodded. \"How long will it be.\"  \n  \n\"We probably won't be there for a few days.\" The commander said. \"We're pretty far out.\"  \n  \nVicy nodded. \"We'd appreciate being allowed to accompany you. We won't cause much trouble.\"  \n  \n\n\u0026nbsp;The officers shrugged and continued on the road with the two Argonians tagging along.  \n  \nAs promised they reached Leyawiin without much trouble. They sat in the pub intending on resting a few days.  \n  \n\"Should we head to Skyrim?\" Vicy asked as he looked over a map. It's probably a month's walk away.\"  \n  \nAmusei sipped from his ale. \"I suppose. We made it this far right?\"  \n  \nVicy chuckled. \"Yeah, though I'm kind a surprised we haven't gotten further.\"  \n  \nAmusei shrugged. \"We would've if not for the dragon.\"  \n  \n\"True.\" Vicy chuckled. \"Though I'm thankful for the dragon anyway.\" His tail brushed his friends. Amusei curled his tail around Vicy's. \"Yeah me too.\"  \n  \nFinishing their drinks they retired for the night walking into the room they rented in the pub. Once inside Vicy wrapped his arms around his friend from behind. Amusei's cheeks darkened as he turn his head meeting his friends waiting lips.  \n  \nThey drifted towards the bed and fell on it. Armor was removed and bodies joined together.  \n  \nAmusei bit into a pillow, groaning as Vicy thrust under his tail.
