To be specific, these journal entries will serve as a way to further solidify the universe I keep him in and give a better understanding to my readers how he behaves and thinks.\nThe dating system I am using is mostly the Roman Calendar but using old Latin lingo for the days of the week.\nAlso, to specify, this universe is not like ours, so I don't want history buffs complaining about historical inaccuracies; you will understand the universe better the more I post journals.","content":"\u0026nbsp;~ Murcurii, July 3rd, Year 1355 of the Human Calendar\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nI awoke with a terrible chill, it was that dream again. The fire and the steel, I can see it still so clearly, yet when I try to reflect further it vanishes. I do not know how long I have been having this dream, but it is always the same:\n\nI can feel the warmth of the blaze as it surrounds what I can only assume is my home, the smoke smells of pine and bitter berries. I catch glimpses of what looks like metal blades, reflecting the light of the fire as they swing about. And at last my view lands on a shadowed figure standing in the flames, it looks as though it is reaching out to me. I could swear I heard it saying something but before I can make it out, the blades swept in and caused it to turn to smoke and ash.\n\nI spent the last hour trying to retrieve what little else I could from my memory of the dream, but to no avail. Perhaps a relaxing walk through the forest will help to clear my mind, if anything else I can get some fresh air.\n\n~\n\nOnce I got outside, I marveled at the moon; it was a rare occasion in which it was huge and full. I traveled over to the lake nearby, it is a nice spot to just lay and stare at the sky. Tonight was proving less relaxing than usual however, so I tried to hum the song my mother taught me when I was two human years old. My kind called it the _Melody of Calming_, as its' name suggests it is meant to calm one's mind and soul. I am proud my kind has such a deep understanding of their own souls; our knowledge would have greatly benefited the human race had they been less threatened by it.\n\nA sort of laughter broke the silence on the other side of the lake, what creatures were playing at this time? I decided to get into the water and swim over to investigate; the cool liquid felt very refreshing on my scales. I continued to hum the _Melody_ on the way over; the resonance combining with the water and amplified the effect.\n\nOnce I made it to the other side, I could hear the sound much deeper in the woods than I expected. Against my better judgment, I chose to let my curiosity win this battle and moved through the trees to locate the source of the sound. I could feel a sense of wonder as I grew closer to the source, the laughter was sounding very familiar.\n\nOnce I closed in on the creature I discovered it was a human! I stayed back several trees away to ensure I wasn't seen, why was a human female out in the middle of the forest at this hour? I received an answer not long after I asked myself the question, a human male was with her. Granted I there was a village next to the edge of the forest, but I had no idea the humans were so willing to venture so deep into it.\n\nFrom the looks of their behavior I figured out quickly how they worked up the courage most of their kind lacked, they had had too much to drink. I never did prefer the concoctions the humans made; the foul liquids made my mind hazy and tasted of a week-old dead rat. The male was stumbling around the female in an odd display, flipping her ponytail around her neck and spinning her around, I couldn't help but chuckle at how much of a fool he was making himself out to be.\n\nThe two of them were quite cute together, laughing and dancing around; and it gave me an idea. Surely they wouldn't mind too much if I... practiced on them a little bit, just a little experiment... he he he....\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Collection - One and the Same","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/591126-one-and-the-same-side-story-double-the-fun.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/591134-one-and-the-same-side-story-secret-show.json"}}
