He thought to himself with excitement.  It's normally not this cool, but here it is\nAWESOME!\nSlowly, he was raised into the open.  The sun shined down brightly from above,\nrevealing that he was in a forest.  Just\nas Max had promised, there was a giant cone in front of him.  It was shaped like one of those Thanksgiving\nthings.  He looked around, and saw that\nhis friends had come up out of the ground as well.\nNot my friends now, he thought with excitement.  My opponents!\nA counter appeared on the giant cone, and Tarot's voice rang\nout, counting along with it.\n\"10...  9...  8...  7...\"\nPeanut quickly scanned the area.  The obvious thing to do would be to run\nstraight to the giant cone and grab whatever he could find.  Then again, that's probably what everyone\nelse was going to do, too.  King might\nnot be too hard to take out, but Fox and Grape would undoubtedly be more of a\nchallenge.  Who even knew what Tarot was\ncapable of?  A more sensible option would\nbe to run into the forest and create distance.\nNah, that was too boring!\n\"3... 2... 1...  GO!\"\nWithout a moment's hesitation, Peanut took off running\ntowards the giant cone.  From his peripheral\nvision, he saw King turn and dash into the forest.  Bino did the same in the opposite\ndirection.  He couldn't see the others\nfrom here, but he assumed that they must be...\n\"OOF!\" he grunted as Max tackled him from behind.\n\"Bad move, Dog Breath!\" he cackled as he raised a knife\nabove his head.\nBefore Peanut knew what was going on, though, a purple\nstreak had tackled Max off of him.\n\"Run, Peanut!\" she shouted, holding her boyfriend to the\nground.  She had a wickedly sharp sword\nstrapped to her back.\n\"Grape, that's not how the game works!\" Peanut shouted in\nconfusion.\n\"Duh, but I don't want it to end too soon!\" Grape shouted\nback.  \"Now run!\"\nBut Peanut didn't want to leave without taking SOMETHING\nfrom the big shiny cone.  Getting to his\nfeet, he scrambled around until he found an enticing looking battle axe lying\nonly a few feet away from him.  Grabbing\nit, he finally obeyed Grape and took off into the forest, giggling madly.\n\"Get off me, babe!\" Max shouted.  \"I don't want to hurt you!\"\nWith a sly grin, Grape let go of her boyfriend and took a\nfew steps back, \"What do you say we form an alliance?\" she asked.\nMax got back to his feet, coughing softly and rubbing his\nneck where Grape had been grabbing him, \"What makes you think I need your help?\"\nhe asked.\n\"The fact that you just got pinned by a girl,\" Grape\nanswered.  \"And that that girl is still\nhere.\"  She reached back and drew her\nsword threateningly.\nMax's eyes widened in fear, and he glanced down\nat his puny knife.  With a grin to hide\nhis terror, he hid the knife behind his back, \"Okay, welcome to the team!\""}
