{"sf1_id":593911,"sf2_id":null,"title":"True Beauty","author":"Akatsuki","words":467,"posted_at":"2013-09-22T20:09:00.000Z","tags":["Hate","Love","Poetry"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/593911-true-beauty","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/view/593911","image_url":"https://www.sofurryfiles.com/std/thumb?page=593911\u0026ext=.jpg","description":"","content":"In the silvered light of the moon\n\nIn the quiet of the valley,\n\nWhen the colors of the day fade away,\n\nAnd all is gray.\n\nWhen the rose is no longer lustful red,\n\nNor the desert flower golden,\n\nThe soul dos bared and all do see\n\nTheir spins and thorns wholly.\n\nAnd as the night lily opens\n\nHer soft petals in the moon light\n\nFor no one to see.\n\nShe begins to weep over\n\nThe worlds lost beauty.\n\nCaused by not the moon, but by the sun.\n\nThe sun, who hides the world\n\nBehind the veil of light.\n\nWho causes the hearts of men\n\nTo be lulled in by false beauty.\n\nOnly to bleed as they touch beneath\n\nThe Rose's petals.\n\nAnd so, the sun dies behind the mountains,\n\nSo awakes the nightingale\n\nAnd she begins her sweet serenade.\n\nAnd if one took care to listen,\n\nThey would hear of times long past.\n\nOf times when beauty wasn't seen,\n\nBut was felt by the soul.\n\nWhen the word of a man wasn't forgotten,\n\nBut was carried with him 'till the end.\n\nAnd all who would listen, both man and beast,\n\nWill pause on their journey,\n\nAnd mourn as does the night lily.\n\nOver the loss of true beauty,\n\nThe beauty of the heart and soul,\n\nDrowned in the light seen by eyes,\n\nAnd covered in superficial colors.\n\nThough the light of the moon may be harsh,\n\nIt does not judge, but it shows to all,\n\nThe souls of the wicked, and the pure.\n\nIt spares no one innocence.\n\nBut yet see we begin to truly see,\n\nTo see with our souls,\n\nThe nightingale is silenced,\n\nAnd the lily once again hides,\n\nAs the lark's harsh cry is carried\n\nO're the lighting sky.\n\nAs the thorns of the rose once again hide\n\nBehind the light the sun does give it,\n\nThe hearts the mourned in tune with the lily,\n\nThough the song sung by moonlight,\n\nShall remember where loveliness\n\nTruly does lay.\n\nIn the hearts and souls of the pure,\n\nBoth strong and meak.\n\nIn those who cry passionately\n\nOver what has been lost.\n\nAnd they do remember how to look\n\nPast the colors of the day,\n\nTo see the soul, to see the beauty, the thorns.\n\nNow, ma6y man be filled\n\nWith love and joy as it once was.\n\nBefore greed, lust, and hate\n\nClouded the hearts of man.\n\nMay we rise from the ashes \u0026nbsp;of our past,\n\nAs does a phoenix, to be reborn,\n\nWhole and new.\n\nTo fill the Earth once again\n\nWith the beauty it once bore.\n\nWith the love and kindness that once flew free\n\nOver plains, over mountains and seas.\n\nThough the moon, sun, and storm.\n\nMay we once again\n\nFeel the love of the soul.\n\nMay we once again live free.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
