Artwork by Avisk on FurAffinity.","content":"Wolf's Howl\n\n* * *\n\nForests deep and mountains wide  \nlisten to the wolf's drifting howl.  \nCalling to family and friends alike.  \nWhere are you and where do you hide?\n\nRunning beneath the bright night sky.  \nHunting their prey and dragging them  \nto their doom. For the sake of those  \nlittle ones who wait in quiet dens.\n\nLiving beneath the full moon's glow.  \nRunning wild through mountains and trees.  \nLet nothing take your freedom.\n\nHowl beneath the sun.  \nHowl beneath the moon.  \nGather the pack together for the hunt.\n\nRaise your pups in meadows wide.  \nAway from rifles and prying eyes.  \nProtect the weak and serve the strong.  \nFind the place where you belong.\n\nDefend your pack with dying breath.  \nUntil they are safe and the danger is met.  \nHowl to the moon brave wolf, brave wolf.  \nLet no one tie you down.\n\nGolden eyes follow forest trails  \nwhere prey loves to run and hide.  \nThe strength of generations flows  \nthrough your veins.\n\nThe wisdom of a thousand years.\n\nThe desire to protect those yet unborn  \nand mourning for those left behind.  \nListen to the wolf's howl  \nand hear the sound of freedom.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poems","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/595414-the-jade-emperor.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/596689-stories-in-silver-and-gold.json"}}
