This is the best way I can explain it.","content":"It's funny how questions can make us think\n\nEven if it is a bit silly at times\n\nI've been asked so many questions\n\nFrom how to write poetry\n\nAs well as personal things as well\n\nOne day from out of the blue\n\nAn anonymous person had asked me this\n\nWith all the things that happened in your life\n\nWhy do you write poetry\n\nWhy is it so important for people to read it\n\nIs there a reason for it\n\nBecause I'm not the only one who's going through this\n\nWho has fought the same battles as I went through.\n\nFor those lost in a world of darkness\n\nOn where the sun is blocked out by the moon\n\nDay by day\n\nSearching for an answer with no light in sight\n\nWhere the pressures of the world\n\nWeigh down the broken hearted\n\nFor those who are lost in suicidal thoughts\n\nListening to the lies\n\nEvery waking moment\n\nLosing sleep and their minds\n\nSlowly letting their souls scream on the inside\n\nFor those who are stuck in their addictions\n\nStruggling to break the chains\n\nOf the very things that are controlling them\n\nThinking that there is no way out\n\nNo matter how many tears they shed\n\nI want to tell you\n\nThat this too shall pass\n\nWhen you think it's too late to change anything\n\nDon't give up\n\nFight a little longer\n\nStand up and look the world in the face\n\nAnd say I'm not going to take it anymore\n\nAnd yes it will be hard\n\nThere will be times\n\nWhere the lies get so intense\n\nYou will want to give up\n\nAnd say screw it\n\nI don't care anymore\n\nFor every time you resist\n\nYou become an inspiration for those\n\nWho are in the same battle as you are\n\nTransforming into a light\n\nAnd guiding the broken souls into the light\n\nAs for why i write poetry\n\nIt's simple\n\nTo help people realize that they are not alone\n\nWhile i can't eliminate the source of the pain\n\nI can help prevent it\n\nAnd show them the way\n\nSo they don't travel the same road i did.\n\nRegardless of the world trying to break me down\n\nThere is one thing that I know\n\nAnd it's true to today.\n\nI'm alive\n\nAnd if there is one i want to do\n\nBefore i pass on\n\nIs to help heal the scars of the broken hearted\n\nTo the world you may only be one person\n\nBut to one person you may be the world.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/600103-safe.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/606470-the-rose.json"}}
