Never ask what a furr did, just what he was convicted of.
Penal 2 - 2010-0504.0003

Where was I? Yeah, Juvie prison. Lorin TomCat my older
chainmate and Terun Panda my younger. Terun's a Red Panda, but
he kinda looks like a Raccoon with that ringtail. We're in Juvie
to learn better, not to suffer; so treatment depends on how we
behave. Actually kinda empowering, if ya think about it.

As older chainmate it's my duty to train the newbie. Lorin
had done it for me. The Bobcat did it for Lorin. Somefur did it for
Bobby. Yeah, not his cub name or even Juvie name. But Lorin calls
him Bobby when he comes by to see his PO, he's OK with it.

Bobby's not a cub anymore and he's out of Juvie. Nofur here
knows my cub name, probably not even the Warden. I don't wanna know
Terun's cub name. Nofur's cub name matters in Juvie, never gonna
when he gets out.

I think I said, chainmates get real close. The one-meter
interchain holds us physically, and sharing the newbie's punishments
gets us close emotionally. Terun and I tussle and hug when I kiss him
awake in the morning, and often the guards let us hug even though it
slows them down.

Maybe the adults just like watching boys hug and kiss. They
watch us to check we're not really fighting, but learning to trust
each other instead. I said Terun's shy and smaller than me, and it's
a bit strange a skinny Fox like me learned to act strong and defend
the little guy.

Another lesson. Act scared, ya get pushed. Act mean, there's
always somefur meaner gonna hand you yer tail. Act confident but
polite, not even the guards hit ya. Red got smacked around a lot till
he figgered I wanted to help, but didn't to avoid my own beating.

So we got that chainmate bond. I showed Red how to kneel to
the guards, take their orders, go learn a trade. One part of being
chainmates is, ya learn what the otherfur's good at. For Red, it was
vid games. I never understood why somefur would spend hours staring
at a vidscreen when there's sun outside to curl up or just lie around
in.

I'm just not that interested in fake furrs prancin around on
an LED screen doin stuff ya should be doin in real life. I mean, usin
headphones to talk over comm lines to otherfurs about game strategy?
Better to just talk to others about, say, reality!

I can accept talkin to co-workers, they don't haveta be in the
same room. But talk about real projects, actually bein worked on by
real furrs. If ya can't tell the diff, yer too deep in the cyber stuff!
Get out and touch somefur, use yer paws on a real live warm vixen's
soft fur I say. Feel her hug back.

~

But I got innerested in, how they get the game. How's it know
what little dots ta light up, ta trick ya inta thinkin yer seein a car
race, or whatever. I also think it's morally wrong to have somethin
where ya gotta shoot somefur. Why would anyfur WANT to destroy stuff,
kill somethin that's not dinner? I quite frankly think they're mentally
sick, should be kept away from society.

How does it help all the furrs that hafta deal with reality?
Yeah your paw-eye coordination improves, but ya get used to killing
anyfur that's different than you. Sure they call it zombies or were-
wolves or so-called monsters. So what, that supposed to mean it's OK?

Furrs, if you don't remember history you're gonna repeat all
the tragic mistakes! Hating otherfurs for being different species or
having different fur color, diet, or religion? Or not being purebred?
That's what got the world this messed up to begin with! Much better
for society if you put all that effort into getting decent food, water
and shelter to the furrs who need it!

Juvie taught me a trade, took a scared todd and made a useful
Fox out of him. Like I said, Terun learned vid games. Some furrs just
check out of life, play all the time, don't even seem to remember it's
not real life! At least Terun wanted to make new games; he realized
it's got a core that animates each character, and a skin that shows
which one.

It's a team effort. Ya make a new skin, add in fur color and
species, different abilities. Sure, it looks different; but it's still
just a model the core moves around. There's rules for what moves are
realistic, you don't just make an arm lift without knowing how muscle
really looks under fur.

And all this game is just a real long list of simple commands
to a dumb inert hunk o' silicon. I wanna get down there, roll around
in the mud, make that silicon hunk sing and dance and twist electricity
just as fast and skillfully as the Sky Furr made it possible. Yeah,
laws of physics and quantum relativistic time-space stuff. All to
make silicon dance so my chainmate Terun can make three-dimensional
artistry.

Oh, and what I said about vid games being unkind to werewolves
by treating them as villains? You ever \\*meet\\* a werewolf? Not the
fictional, I'm-gonna-rip-you-up-and-eat-you ones, I mean the real
ones. They're just furrs, like you or me. Sure some are evil, but
\\*every\\* species has naughties. They just have this habit, sometimes
they turn into these weird things that are \\*like\\* normal furrs. But
they don't have real fur or tails! How's \\*that\\* for believe-it-or-not,
carnival-freak time, huh?

~

OK, this next bit's kinda adult. I'm not quite adult yet,
so let's say mature teen, you've already had Parental Guidance.
Especially The Talk, the one about yer body and changes. Remember
way back I said furrs are pretty casual about nudity, it wasn't
a big shock in Intake to strip.

Doin' it with the guards watching was the surprise. But they
didn't seem to care, didn't point or giggle behind raised paws. They
just made sure we obeyed, didn't try to hide from the delousing. I'd
lived on the street about a year and quite frankly I needed it. The
soap shower felt good, the poison not so much, cause we had to leave
it on our wet fur to let it work.

In Juvie, the boys are in a separate camp from the girls. We'd
all grown up with the fur covering, uh, the naughty bits; so boys and
girls had all seen each other and we knew where the differences were.
Parents wore clothes and I figured their bits were bigger since I could
see Mom's curves. But we all grew up accepting it; nofur got upset
seeing boys or girls. And nofur heard of anyfur taking advantage.

But in Intake, the showers wet us all, and the fur matted down.
Now we could see each other, and for somefurs it was the first time.
But I knew about different sizes, cause Canids like Coyotes, Dogs,
Foxes, Jackals and Wolves are pretty social. Yeah, Foxes are kinda
loners, that just means we don't hunt in packs, not that we don't
like each other.

Furrs, don't get upset! I know there's some, well, stuffy ones
out there, your beliefs are your own, I don't judge. But don't judge
me harshly either, just cause I don't follow your ways.

Guys, you know this; and gals, here's a secret. You're all
old enough now to know: size does matter, cause it's used differently.
But there's good uses for subcompact cars as well as semis, if you get
my drift. So bigger doesn't always mean better -- \\*stop snickering\\* --
and you're not automatically a better man just because yer playing
basketball while somefur else's playing tennis. Try to keep up with
my automobile and sports equipment analogies please.

Anyway, so I knew Lorin was a hot hunk o' kittyfur. He told
me several times he liked my foxflesh, and we hugged, licked, and
kissed. Sometimes ya just need a hug, need ta know somefur cares.
And that's all it was. Yeah, really. We weren't adults yet.

Terun my chainmate stands a bit shorter than me, and he's
younger and smaller. I'll say it again, I'm not judging, not making
him feel bad. I saw his lovely red fur and tail first, and I've been
lost sometimes for hours in those eyes of his. I sure hope he sees
something he likes in mine.

In Juvie, only the guards wear clothes. Oh, and the super-hot
Cougar warden and the office staff. Oh, yeah, cooks and machine oper-
ators have aprons, but the rest is uncovered cause the fur keeps us
warm enough. They let it grow in winter, trim a little in summer. I'm
having a bit of trouble keeping my mind on the narrative, cause Terun's
chained to me and he's a pleasant distraction.

~

One morning when the guards woke me up I could see the light
before the dawn through the vent at the end of the kennel. They let
us see if it's day or night in the kennel; if a furr's bad they put
you in Solitary where you can't tell and forget what time it is.
It's scary there.

Hobbled and chained to Terun, I crawled to the back to empty
myself. I had to roll the sleeping Red Panda over to get the room,
and he saw me when he opened his eyes. Every boy unsheaths himself
a bit for this, and Red giggled as the older Fox did more than was
physically necessary. I warned you this was the adult part.

Anyway, I rinsed the trench and reached over for the lime
bucket. It wasn't where I left it! I heard the silly Panda giggle and
I was gonna get mad but I realized it was another game. I knelt down
and asked him with mock deference if I may please have the lime.

Remember chainmates get friendly because of the closeness; I
realized my oldermate Lorin had been rather uptight and I'd gone with
it. Terun was uninhibited and he lifted me to my hindpaws. How come
a younger boy knew what to do with lime and a boy when I didn't?

Terun my younger chainmate saw me waving to him and did what
came natural to him, he put his own paw in the bucket and limed me
to dry me off. First time anyfur else had held me there, first time
since I was a cub anyfur'd dried me! I responded and we fell into a
close hug and deep kiss that seemed to last forever and yet wasn't
nearly long enough.

This seems like a good place to stop and put in a star, but
excuse me if I just say think about two boys chained together in a
cage in a kennel in Juvie prison. Eventually we went back to the real
world and realized the guards had come back, been there coughing to
alert us, and were mad we hadn't paid attention.

They saw what Terun and I were doing, knew what we'd been
doing and figured it was OK, just some male bonding. Don't have to
tell these Wolves, no embarrassment, no foul. We knelt for the guards
and crawled out one by one. But Terun had a big smile on his face,
and I was still waving as our paws were clipped together.

I was turning red under my fur, sure every boy was staring at
me, but nofur said a word as we were led to chores. We scrubbed the
warden's office floor as usual, on our knees chained together, but I
kept looking over at Terun. When we do chores our paws are clipped to
hobble chains around our waists so we can move a little, and I was
quite surprised to see Red had unsheathed himself like I was!

Again I felt conflicting emotions for my older chainmate
Lorin. His duty was to train me, everything I needed in Juvie, and
I loved him deeply. Still do I guess; but how come he hadn't told me
about this stuff? Was he about to show me when he was hurt? And then
couldn't bear to bare himself to teach me?

~

So it was up to the Red Panda to bear the burden of my edu-
cation. I'd shown him the rules of Juvie and he was showing me stuff
he'd learned from where his Mom worked. One of Juvie's rules is don't
ask anyfur about their cub names or lives; don't tell anyfur what you
did before. Not even your chainmates. Tell em what you were convicted
of if ya wanna.

So I had no idea who Terun'd been before Juvie, what his life
had been like or what he did. Nofur knew about me either. Oh, I'd told
my older chainmate Lorin lots of things about me during our nights
together, stuff I wouldn't tell Mom or Dad when he was alive. And the
TomCat told me about using his light-and-dark-gray fur to blend into
daybreak or twilight, hide and sneak in places.

Lorin'd been convicted of 'borrowing' some computer equipment.
He didn't know how they worked, didn't really know how to use them
well, just knew furrs would pay him and not ask questions. He didn't
think to ask what the round glassy thing in the center of the lid did,
and was fool enough to leave the machine on with him logged in when
they used the security locator.

He'd seemed confident selling the machines, but he'd just
repeated what he'd read on the packing crates. Like a lot of furrs,
he didn't know what he was talking about, but his customers were even
more in the dark and he could fool them with techno-babble. If you
sound like you know what you're saying, the fools never ask.

Lorin had bills of sale, but the policefurs said they were
fake. Lorin couldn't protest, he'd taken them without permission, but
who would've guessed he took them from a thief? Somewhere, somefur
was probably having a good laugh at the TomCat's expense.

And guess what? The halfway house Lorin went to needed compu-
ters to teach furrs to be useful to society. So the cops had a batch
of unclaimed machines in lockup they just handed over! Me and Terun
visited there cause we were 'model prisoners' and Terun learned to
use the vid game core and skins a real programmer had made to make a
new life for himself.

But I'm getting ahead of myself. For now Terun and I were
chained together, boys laboring without pay because we'd hurt society
and this was justice, not punishment. Sometimes it hurt, and sometimes
it felt really good, and it was part of the lessons that it was our
choice.

One of the things I chose was occasional harsh treatment. On
purpose. I dunno why, maybe I felt heroic, I could take punishment
without folding. It was a game because the guards always laid it out
clear what they were gonna do to me, what I had to do or say. And I'd
been on the street, I knew when they were really mad or willing to play.

Mom and Dad had done some adult stuff when they thought I was
asleep. I was at first, and I never heard noise, but somehow I woke up
before midnight and snuck down to the basement. Our house was built
kinda funny, I could go up a little door in my bedroom ceiling through
the attic to the door in Mom and Dad's room. Or halfway there was a
space between the house and garage I could sneak down.

~

Yeah, there was a wall in the way and stuff to keep the winter
cold out, but I'd worked a corner loose and heard some muffled pound-
ing. I moved some more wall and got a real shock! There in the corner
of the basement was Mom wearing tall leather boots and nothing else!

Nothing I could see anyway. Then I moved a little, still being
quiet like the Mouse friends at school. And saw Dad wearing nothing
but a leather collar with chains on it. He was on his paws and knees
like a dumb dog animal and Mom was his owner.

In a few seconds I realized Mom was really sexy! No wonder
Dad loved her so much he was willing to do this for her. Mom went
to a place where she could work her body, make her muscles firm.
Oh, she had the curves to prove she was a vixen all right; but even
though I was barely in my teens I felt something stir seeing her
firm bust and backside.

As my eyes adjusted to dimness I saw the part of the basement
that had been blocked off. I'd been told it was Mom's private art
studio and I'd kept quiet that it didn't make sense to put big foam
blocks around it, but I was a cub, what did I know?

It was dim because the electric lights were off, and it looked
like gas torches lit rough stone. All four walls, even the floor and
ceiling. Dad was hurting his knees on it, moaning softly, but it was
part of the game. Mom was swinging a leather whip and calling Dad a
Bad Boy. The pounding sound I'd heard earlier was Dad being whipped.

I was fascinated. Dad was bad? He wasn't doing anything bad I
could see, kneeling naked before his owner and begging for mercy. His
brown fur was roughed up, and I could see between his legs. Wow he was
big there! And he was unsheathed. Is that why Mom said he was bad?

It's a shock for a thirteen-year-old still a cub to see two
adults naked. And it was my own Mom and Dad! They were playing adult
make-believe and Dad was enjoying it. A lot. There was a weird scent
in the air sorta like when you exercise and forget to shower. Not un-
pleasant either.

I'm not gonna say everything I saw that night or the other
times I snuck down to the basement. The studio door was locked but
I could sneak into the playroom with a flashlight and see the toys.
I didn't understand it then, but I do now, and that was the start
of my interest in harsh treatment that I indulged in Juvie.

~

OK, I've never forgotten my older chainmate Lorin and I never
will, but now I had to train my younger chainmate Terun about Juvie.
Or he trained me some, whatever. I had kept quiet about the playroom
because I felt really guilty -- it seemed that Dad got in trouble only
after I'd bitten the forbidden fruit, so to speak. So I thought it was
all my fault Dad was killed and the Bears slapped Mom, to make her
kneel and do adult things for them.

In Juvie I learned to kneel for the guards and Terun showed me
some more things. I don't think that Panda was ever ashamed of seeing
his Mom do adult things, cause he sure wasn't worried when he showed
me. So I felt OK about the spanking we did and the rough stuff from
the guards.

Remember in Juvie, prisoners' behavior chooses between punish-
ments and the fun stuff. Sometimes it's hard to tell with me, cause
I'm a Fox. For some reason all us Canids seem to enjoy a bit of rough-
ness, I dunno why. Lorin TomCat never did although I did get him to
groom me rough sometimes. I do miss that nice rough tongue of his.

Terum seems to like spanking what he calls my sexy foxbutt.
He does it to me more than I do him, because ... well, I like it more.
I relax with him when he chains me, clipping my paws around one side
cage bar and my feet around the other. I'm stretched out on my belly,
revealed to him and the guards. Completely at his mercy.

Happy.
