{"sf1_id":607410,"sf2_id":null,"title":"Pieces","author":"librios","words":316,"posted_at":"2013-10-27T23:12:00.000Z","tags":["Poetry","autism","life"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/607410-pieces","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/view/607410","image_url":"https://www.sofurryfiles.com/std/thumb?page=607410\u0026ext=.jpg","description":"","content":"I know people have heard this\n\nFrom time to time\n\nBut people quite don't understand it\n\nIt wasn't as common back then\n\nBut now It's becoming more and more apparent\n\nAutism is starting to become more noticeable\n\nNot just in children but adults as well\n\nMost people hear about it\n\nBut don't understand it\n\nI shall give you my view on how I view it\n\nI can't speak for everyone\n\nWho has this condition\n\nBut I can give you an idea\n\non what It's like\n\nand what we face everyday\n\nHaving autism is like going out in the rain\n\nWith an umbrella that has holes in it\n\nNo matter how hard we try to sew the holes\n\nIt doesn't last and the umbrella tears\n\nMaking the holes even bigger\n\nPeople say to just get a new umbrella\n\nIt's not that simple\n\nEvery time we grab a new one\n\nThere are holes in those\n\nAnd no matter how hard we try to fix them\n\nThe rain just pours harder and reopens them\n\nEven in school\n\nWhile there are subjects that we understand\n\nAnd we pick it up quick\n\nThere are subjects that makes us fall hard on our faces\n\nNo matter how hard we try to understand it\n\nIt just doesn't click\n\nSometimes we're afraid to ask for help\n\nIn fear of being called stupid by our peers\n\nSometimes were afraid of making new friends\n\nBecause they might treat us differently\n\nThan everyone else\n\nAutism is both a curse and a gift\n\nA curse because it makes us feel like we're not perfect\n\nA gift because once we understand something\n\nAnd it relates to a job that we like\n\nIt just clicks and we take it on full force\n\nThis is all I can say for now\n\nWhile I know some may not agree with what i said\n\nBut just know\n\nWe are here for a reason\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
