I was going to get into the seasonal spirit, but that derailed quite quickly as you can see.","content":"I saw it for the first time when I set my paws in our yard  \nStill as if dead yet so alive and green  \nI tip toed over to it and introduced myself,  \n\"Hello, I'm Max, what's your name?\"  \n  \nIf it could give an answer  \nthis old thing certainly didn't choose  \nbut I sat under it and waited and waited,  \nas if I believed the world could speak out  \nin the tongues of our kind,  \nin intricate sounds and syllables.  \n  \nDays passed before I realised  \njust how well a climber I was  \nOne paw at a time, I crept into its depths.  \nPerched high from above, I felt as though  \nI had conquered gravity itself  \neven as I fell to the earth.  \n  \nYears pass, yet I sit under this old tree still  \nNever uttering a word, yet always willing to listen  \nMy thoughts, My problems, My world.  \nIt never judged me, or so it never chose to  \neven while confessing to it a truth  \nthat the world so chose to hate.  \n  \nThis old tree was witness  \nwhen my parents moved in all those years ago  \nwhen I grew up from cub to adult  \nLittle did I know that it would too become witness  \nwhen I pulled a ring out hidden from my pocket  \nand proposed to another guy.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
