{"sf1_id":612573,"sf2_id":"k1V0zZbm","title":"Glory for the Fallen","author":"Jade Wulf","words":220,"posted_at":"2013-11-11T13:05:00.000Z","tags":["Poem","song"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/612573-glory-for-the-fallen","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/k1V0zZbm","image_url":"https://cdn.sofurryfiles.com/submissions/thumbnails/9a/fc/9afcdc0c-e46c-4b0b-a0e9-8196f7c650fb","description":"#1 of Songs and random stuff","content":"I wrote this back in 2009 on Remembrance/Veterans day on my way to school and i started typing it out while on the Calgary transit train that heads up into the north east of the city, PLEASE no hate on this and please do not repost as it took me three days to finish it  \n  \n  \nGlory for The Fallen  \nBy Donald Barnard  \n  \n  \nGlory to the fallen ones who have gone before us so that we may live in freedom  \nAs we honor those who have died and those who have survived the wars.  \nYet we honor those who die,  \nWith medals, wreaths and memorials, so we won't forget them  \nSo Glory to the Fallen and those who survived the wars.  \n  \nFor all those who fight, is there no another way  \nTo settle differences  \nTo all those families who have suffered,  \nTo all those warriors past,  \nAnd to all those who still fight, there is still Sympathy.  \n  \nFor all the victims who died do to the wars,  \nCompassion is still alive.  \n  \nFor all those politicians,  \nWho start wars for no other reasons than  \nFinancial, economic or personal gain.  \n  \nFor all those who stand aside and watch,  \nPlease step in and help.  \nSo let us remember those who go before us,  \nBy remembering them with medals, wreaths, memorials,  \nAND IN OUR HEARTS!!!!!!  \n  \n\n"}
