(A rough outline)\n\nThe story of a young Marten, raised in Redwall, who sets out to find his place in the world.\n\n(This is set in a future time where Red wall is a little more advanced technologically and socially. prejudices against other larger creatures such as weasels and rats are diminishing.)\n\nIt begins with Obonic who is captured in his attempts to stow away on a Ship that happens to be a slave transport ship.\n\nWhile on the ship he meets and speaks with several of the slaves, half of which are from Redwall.\n\nObonic and the rest of the slaves are taken to Sampetra.\n\nA gang of Rats have been rounding up slaves to Mine for rare gems there.\n\nWhen OBonic gets there the lead of the Rat group decides that having a Marten on the island is to dangerous for them. He decides to put Obonic to his death by decapitation.\n\nThe second in command for the rats then sees his chance to kill and over throw the leader.\n\nRight as the leader of the rats raises the Axe Obonic head.\n\nThe second rat stabes the other rat from behind, the leader rat dies and drops his Axe.\n\nWith the confusion Obonic is able to grab the Axe and burries it in the other Rat killing him..\n\nHe takes off each of the rats heads and shows the other rats so they don't mess with him anymore.\n\nObonic is rather nervous at this point but he is able to intimidate the rats enough that they starts working for him now.\n\nHE asks for Food since he's been with out for sometime.\n\nThey bring him food. He is halfway through eating when they explain that there is very little food left on the island. For the rats, the salves, or anyone..\n\nObonic's jaw drops, he is mortified.\n\nThe Rats explain that they had planned on trading part of the slaves for food from  \nanother pirate ship.\n\nThey day is over, Obonic goes to retire for the night. The rats show him to the nest of the leader rat (which is Filthy.) Obonic does the best to make use of it\n\nSince he is still nervous about someone attempting to kill him next. HE posts 2 guards at his door. One is one of the rats.. the other is the Fox slave that was on the ship.\n\nPartway through the night the fox creeps in to his room. Thinking he can kill Obonic and take over he raises a knife to stab him.\n\nBefore the fox realizes he's not alone, the rat guard takes off the foxes head with the previous axe.\n\nThe foxes Head falls on to Obonic lap. Obonic then wakes up screaming.\n\nObonic speaks with the rat after he has calmed down. He finds that the rat has good enough intentions but is looking for a better life than their previous leaders have given them.\n\nObonic comes to trust the rat guard and eventually most of his companions. since they didn't care for the other leader much..\n\nThe next day Obonic goes out and Orders the slaves free.\n\nand explains the food shortage..\n\nHe states that the rats and former slaves must work together to find a solution to their situation.\n\nMany of the former slaves are skeptical. The Rats are a little too and aren't used to working with others.\n\nMany of the slaves rejoice. Some see Obonic as the next Evil dictator.\n\nThe Rats have a ship.. It's very old and warn but may still sail.\n\nObonic explains that if they fix it up enough to sail.\n\nThey will return those who wish to their home in Redwall.\n\nA few people stay those who don't have a home or wish to start new.\n\nA few rats, some of the former slaves.\n\nObonic asks them to do their best to search Sampetra and look for\n\nresources like food, water other materials.\n\nObonic Returns to Redwall to take back the ex-slaves to their home.\n\nYou find out Obonic was raised in as an orphan Redwall and had left in search of\n\nhis own place in the world.\n\nHe comes back with the ex-slaves, many people are happy.\n\nThe Abbott who knew him personally is upset with him for being so reckless.\n\nObonic explains he needs to go back to the island and take food for the others that are still there.\n\nEventually the Abbott agrees and provides him with ship full of food and resources.\n\nA few others travel back with him to check out the island.\n\nObonic returns with the Food and supplies..\n\nEveryone there is happy!\n\nThey start working on Building up places to live..\n\nObonic begins re building the old castle that once belonged to Ublaz.\n\nThere is much food, Obonic throws parties with everyone invited.\n\nObonic becomes King of Sampetra.\n\nMonths go by..\n\nPeople are still working on building. Obonic offers food for all willing to help build their nation.\n\nA Pirate ship comes by..the pirates that had wanted to trade food for slaves.\n\nObonic has to get others to defend the town. There is a small battle.\n\nThe Pirates destroys Obonic's ship.\n\nEventually they are able to fight them off.\n\nTime goes on.. and food runs low again..\n\nOther search the island for resources..\n\nthere is very little.\n\nfarming helps a little but doesn't do to well.\n\nOnce food become scarce the people become angry.\n\n\"Obonic can not provide for us!\" they say.\n\nObonic searches for anything he can do.\n\nHe sells of old treasures to passing ships.\n\nbut it still does not provide enough..\n\nhe sends letters begging for help.\n\nnone comes.\n\nPeople become very angry and plan to kill Obonic.\n\nThey turn against him and take him to hang.\n\n\"Please! If I die. at least do not cut of my tail!\" Obonic cries.\n\nThey get him ready to hang.\n\na Ship far off approaches the island.\n\nIt is a Redwall ship, with the Abbott on board.\n\nObonic is let go to speak with the Abbot and those on the ship.\n\nThe Abbott is there to provide more food and assistance.\n\nHis old friends are their too.\n\nA Female hare, a Mole, a few others.\n\nPeople are relived for the food to come in..\n\nThey let Obonic resume rule for the time being.\n\nObonic shows his friends many parts of Sampetra.\n\nHis mole friend is a Scientist. Very smart.\n\nThe Hare is a war strategist.\n\nAs they are exploring, the mole finds something interesting.\n\nA plant that grows all over sampetra.\n\nHe picks it up and speaks to obonic.\n\nHe explains that is is a medical Plant.\n\na very rare and useful medical plant that is used in many medicines.\n\nHe asks to take some back, Obonic agrees.\n\nThat night the Abbott speaks to Bbonic.\n\nHe tells Obonic that he needs to surrender his rule of Sampatra.\n\nIf he does, he will feed his people... but it would be apart of the Redwall nation.\n\nObonic and him argue...\n\nto the point that Armies gather.\n\nA war is about to start between Obonic's people of Sampetra and the Redwallers.\n\nJust before it begins, The Mole comes back and speaks with the Abbott and Obonic.\n\nThe mole explains that he has found MANY useful Plants and herbs on Sampetra.\n\nHe explains the value of them and how much they could be used in Redwall and purposes a trade.\n\n\"With the amount of herbs that grow wild here. It's easily worth the food we can provide if you where willing to cultivate and provide it to us!\"\n\nThe mole is very smart and Obonic and the Abbott agree on a trade.\n\nThus begins the great Trading company of Obonic and those of Sampetra!\n\nProducing medicines for not just Redwall but for the world!\n\nThe Sampetra nation becomes a large company of trading.\n\nEventually They afford enough to Create a Airship. Which Obonic captains uses to trade to other nations.\n\nThe end.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
