Sorry, and please bear with me.","content":"Chapter 2 - Room 382\n\nAs Mark and I walked into the class, I suddenly got very uncomfortable because everyone was staring at us. I tried to walk to my seat while looking normal. When I looked at Mark, I was surprised when I saw him with a straight face, with yet another sad look in his eyes. \"Is something wrong?\" I asked\n\nHe turned to look at me. \"It's just that I stand out so badly,\" He looked back towards the students, who were still shocked to see Mark in the classroom, \"I just want to fit in...\"\n\nI gave him a reassuring nudge while hiding my pity with a smile, \"Don't worry, you'll fit in.\"\n\nHe looked back at me, a half-smile on his face. \"Thanks.\"\n\nWe both headed to our table, which was in front of my friend Ulric's. I realized he had a shocked look on his face. \"What?'\n\n\"Who is he?\"\n\nMark looked at him with a straight face, \"A student, what else could I be.\"\n\nUlric's jaw dropped, \"I mean what is he?!\"\n\nMark started to get annoyed, \"A wolf!\"\n\nUlric popped up defensively. \"Huh?!\"\n\nI stepped in between them, feeling things get heated up. \"Hold it!\" I look at Ulric, \"He's the new transfer student, and this is his first class, so let's not get out of hand here, ok? Let's all be friends, and leave no hard feelings, ok?\"\n\nUlric stared at Mark for a heartbeat longer, then said, \"Fine.\" And sat back down.\n\nMark glanced at me, with a small grin on his face. \"Thanks.\"\n\nI laughed. \"You've been saying that a lot!\"\n\nMark rubbed the back of his head, \"Sorry...\"\n\n\"What are you saying sorry for? Come on, let's sit down.\"\n\n\"Ok.\"\n\nWhen class started, Mr. Kawasaki took attendance, as soon as he said \"Mark Okami?\" all eyes went to Mark. He looked nervous again.\n\n\"Here...\"\n\nMr. Kawasaki looked at him. \"So you're the new transfer student? Well, welcome to our school. I'm Mr. Kawasaki, but you can call me Mr. K, and I'll be your biology teacher, nice to meet you.\"\n\nMark rubbed the back of his head, his gold eyes looking at the floor. \"Uh, Thanks.\"\n\nAfter Mr. Kawasaki finished taking role, he looked toward the class, \"Ok kids, pull out your books and turn to page 264,\" he walked up to Mark, giving him a biology book, \"here you can use this.\"\n\n\"Thanks.\" Mark opened his book and started flipping through the pages.\n\nAfter class, when Mark and I got up, Ulric and Jose, my other friend and Ulric's biology partner, walked up to us. Ulric, not meeting eyes with us, said, \"Hey, I'm sorry, do you want to be friends?\"\n\nMark looked surprised, being accepted so quickly. When he snapped out of it, he said, \"I'd be glad to!\" Then Mark and Ulric shook hands, both smiling.\n\nHating to interrupt this union, I said, \"Hurry up or we'll be late for our next class!\"\n\nMark looked at me, then back to Ulric, \"See you later?\"\n\nUlric smiled, then said, \"Sure!\"\n\nMark and I, both of us smiling, turned around and started heading to our next class.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"The Wise Wolf of The Rocky Mountains","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/619716-chapter-1-the-transfer-student.json"}}
