Always.","content":"We care because they're worth it.  \nWe care because we see.  \nWe care because sometimes they can't,  \nAnd that's when we need to be\n\nThere for them in the best of times,  \nThere for them in the worst,  \nThere for them in the deepest darks,  \nSometimes 'gainst all the world.\n\nI cannot promise safety.  \nNo one ever truely can.  \nI only do what dragons do  \nand try to hold your hand.\n\nSometimes when things are darkest,  \nAnd all the light seems lost,  \nWe need someone to guide us,  \nEven if't reminds us of pain's dear cost.\n\nThere are no quick solutions.  \nMost lessons are learned in pain.  \nAnd yet, sometimes, we are surprised  \nTo find colored windowpane.\n\nSo I say \"To hell with hatred.  \nTo hell with suffering and pain.\"  \nThere is no light that shines as bright  \nas what strikes that windowpane.\n\nSometimes the light can't see it.  \nSometimes it fears it's blind.  \nBut even when it's raw and hurt,  \nWe're glad to see it shine.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poems","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/769851-lament-for-a-puppy.json"}}
