Please provide feedback, as I hope to continue editing and making these acceptable for publication.","content":"I've watched the animals at play,  \nThey have their love on full display,  \nCompassion before simple needs,  \nWith lover critter spends the day.  \n  \nTo frolic free of narrowed eyes,  \nNot troubled by the whos and whys,  \nThe animals have got it right,  \nThey live on constant happy highs.  \n  \nPoor human love can not compete,  \nCompared to them it's incomplete,  \nIn this man must accept defeat,  \nFor though he tries he can not beat  \nUnbridled love the critters meet.  \nLet man arise from gilded seat  \nAnd pass the throne to fang and fur,   \nFrom royalty man must retreat.  \n  \nAmphibian and woman's heart  \nHave touched, but that's the story part,  \nAs frog a prince, a pauper man,  \nHis love is better at the start.  \n  \nShould she become aquatic mate,  \nWould make a more rewarding fate,  \nFor lover stuck in human state,  \nCan't shed that unbecoming trait.  \nTransform and welcome warty slate,  \nAbandon human path of hate,  \nThe animals know only love,  \nAn attribute that's made them great.  \n  \nSo you and I, like dogs in pack,  \nWill make up for that which we lack  \nBy watching one another's back  \nAnd covering the other's track.  \nAs canines we possess the knack  \nOf picking up the weak one's slack,  \nTogether running at our goal  \nEvading issues white and black.\n\n\u0026nbsp;Like birds in flock that fills the sky,  \nFrom lover's arms we shall not shy,  \nWith beaks in reach and wings nearby,  \nThrough open air our hearts will fly.  \nI'll answer call of lover's cry  \nWith feathers reaching ever high  \nAnd in return you'll hear the sound  \nOf lover's earnest soft reply.   \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/630266-all.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/630938-amber-scenery.json"}}
