I'm watching you within this bush,
Preparing for a quick ambush.

Now did my appearance frighten,
And did your rosy cheeks whiten?

Since I have failed to surprise,
Next time success, I should surmise.

There's nothing else to do but scare,
No other past-time would I dare.

I see you riding on your bike -
When you pass by is when I'll strike.

So did that leave you terrified -
You surely must be petrified.

I'm fully aware that I'm not
A girl who's capable of scaring
But that's no reason to stop caring
Or give up when I think I'm fairing
Better even though I'm still erring.

When I'm the first to catch a glance,
I'm sure to take my scaring stance.

Did my entrance cause you to fear,
And make your innards feel quite queer?

All arguments I will resist
Which request that I do desist.

I'll grant you I have had no luck,
It's fact that at scaring I suck.
Please grant me what I wish and seek -
The power to frighten the meek.

I really try my very best,
To quicken beating in the chest.
But nothing ever seems to work,
No matter where it is I lurk.

And all my scaring manages,
To keep my heart in bandages,
From all the emotional ache,
Of no one faking for my sake.
I use the scaring to pretend,
That terror explains lonely trend,
I push away that which could mend,
And I've nobody in the end.
