Had it all just been a dream? But it didn't matter. Real\n\nor not, it none of that was important anymore. Realizing the darkness of his office, Harold\n\nquickly glanced at his watch. It was already midnight.\n\nStanding up, Harold made his way towards a light switch. Finally finding it, he\n\nflicked it on then quickly examined the room. Nothing unusual to be seen, Harold breathed a\n\nsigh of relief. And then he heard a telephone ring. He had nearly forgotten that the offices\n\nwere still open.\n\nWalking just outside his office, Harold stopped at the front desk. Beth was sitting\n\nquietly in her chair typing away at a keyboard. Finally noticing him, she stopped and asked\n\nwhat the matter was. Harold sparked an idea. He asked for the intercom microphone. She handed\n\nit to him. Pressing the large button on the side, Harold spoke into the device, intentionally\n\nsounding angry. He began yelling on a rant that went over company morale policy, and made it\n\nclear that he was not seeing that policy being met. With a final huff, he yelled for every\n\nworker to return home and not come back until the Holidays were over.\n\nReleasing the button, there was an air of silence. After a few moment, that silence was\n\nbroken with the unified cheers that radiated from the floors beneath Harold. Harold looked over\n\ntowards Beth. Eyes wide, her shock was obvious. Jumping up from her chair, she ran around the\n\ndesk and hugged Harold full force. Harold embraced his sister, Harold assured her that he would\n\nbe there for her this Christmas.\n\nMerry Christmas\n\n-Extrementalis\n\n  \n  \n\n","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/637392-the-corporate-part-7-of-8.json"}
