He was\nthinly built, due to his many years of track and field in high school that were\nresponsible for his incredible stamina today. \n\"I don't know, I kind of\nlike how it's worked out so far,\" replied the giant Bengal tiger who followed\nhim in and shut the door behind them.\nThe tiger's name was Albert\nPatterson, although he preferred Al personally. Like Connolly, he was a marine\nstationed in Miami to guard the UAC star port there. Both had been called up to\ndeal with the alien outbreak downtown right as they were planning to go to bed,\nleaving both with a mix of blue balls and anger. Now, however, they were just\nplain confused. Blackmon's arrival was another piece of an ever evolving\npuzzle, one that did not bode well for humanity and Earth's future. For now,\nthe two had agreed to just put the night's events aside and focus on enjoying\nthemselves. Or trying to, at least.\n\"Why's that, Al? Because\nyou met me?\" Connolly smirked as he peeled off his uniform and stripped down to\nhis boxers while looking over the cuts and bruises he incurred earlier that\nnight.\n\"Maybeeeee,\" Al huskily\npurred as he hugged the fox from behind.  \nJake sighed and tilted his\nhead back to look up at the big cat behind him. \"You're still horny aren't\nyou?\"\n\"You try getting a blowjob\nand then having to stop two minutes in to go to work,\" Al replied with a tired\nchuckle. \nFor a moment neither said\nnothing as they mutually enjoyed their embrace. It was somewhat amusing to see,\nsince Al was nearly six foot six and could easily rest his chin on Jake's head,\nflattening his ears as he did. Additionally, Al was not the lean machine Jake\nwas. Al weighed nearly 240 pounds, while Jake only weighed about 135. In a way,\nthey were almost polar opposites. Where Jake was small and fast, Al was large\nand slow. However, he more than made up for his lack of speed with raw\nstrength. Despite having just turned 30, Al actually looked younger Jake by a\nyear or two. This was partially due to good genes, but mostly because he'd been\naddicted to weight training and body building since high school. Al had spent\nmost of his childhood growing up as the fat kid thanks to a healthy diet of\nvideo games and junk food. However, after puberty hit and he suddenly couldn't\nfind anyone to go out with him, he realized he needed to get in shape. It\nhadn't been easy for him, but one wouldn't know that now since he could easily\ndead lift over two hundred pounds. \nAlso, unlike Jake, Al was\nnot completely homosexual. He'd had, and occasionally still did, his fair share\nof women. If anything, Jake was an exception in his usually female line of\nlovers and mates. Both knew they were hardly in a relationship, but they\nweren't just a casual fling either. It was a kind of indescribable bond that\nfell somewhere between mates and friends with benefits. Neither one expected\nthe other to publicly show affection, nor did they expect a marriage proposal.\nIf anything, they enjoyed keeping their escapades a secret, as it seemed to\nheighten the intimacy. \n\"Mmmm, Al, did you leave a\ngrenade in your pockets again?\" Jake teased as he felt the tiger's arousal prod\nhim in the back through the fabric of Al's pants. \n\"You're seriously using\nthat joke again?\" Al groaned with a tired smile. \n\"Who's joking? I don't want\nyou exploding in my face unexpectedly like last time,\" Jake cooed as he turned\nabout in Al's arms to face him.\n\"It was one time, and you\nknew I was pent up!\" Al said defensively, hardly noticing that Jake had already\nbegun taking off his pants. \"And...hey! Careful, my phone's still in there!\"\n\"I'm not gonna...\" Jake said\njust before the phone fell out of Al's pocket and bounced on the floor, \"...drop\nit. It's cool, it's cool, it still works!\"\nAl just face palmed as he\nfinished stepping out of his pants and unbuttoned his own shirt before throwing\nit to the side. \n\"You're lucky I'm too tired\nto body slam your fluffy butt on that bed,\" Al growled playfully. \n\"Oh, such a big scary\ntiger,\" Jake purred, \"Is the big kitty gonna hurt me?\"\nAl replied by grabbing Jake\nby the back of his head and shoved his face against his throbbing erection.\nJake yipped in surprise before looking up at the towering feline whose paws now\nfirmly had him under control.\n\"Big kitty is going to make you howl like a little slut,\" Al\nthroatily replied. \nA second later Jake was\ndeep throating the big cat like a pro, his own foxhood standing tall and\nthrobbing with need as he choked on the hunk of tiger meat lodged in his maw.\nHe gagged hoarsely, his eyes tearing up as he looked up at the towering\nbehemoth whose paws kept him pinned down. Al lovingly looked down at the fox,\nplayfully flashing his fangs as his vulpine comrade sucked like a pro. Jake had\ndone this enough to know every sweet spot on Al's cock, and his tongue worked\nfuriously to lather the sensitive underside. Finally, Al released his grip and\nlet Jake come up for air. \nJake hadn't been gasping\nfor two seconds before he felt himself hoisted into the air and roughly laid\nout on the bed. He looked around in a daze, not quite believing what was\nhappening before he felt himself pinned under his feline lover's heavy torso.\nTheir maws met, tongues lashing out into one another's mouths in an erotic duel\nfueled with the taste of Al's pre-cum and Jake's hot breath. Jake did all he\ncould to gain the upper hand, but the big cat had him trapped; for all intents\nand purposes he was Al's bitch. He knew he deserved it; he'd been teasing Al\nall day, and now despite having been awake for nearly twenty-four hours the big\ncat intended to finish what he'd started.\nBreaking the kiss, Al\ngrinned at the fox below him. A thin trail of spit still hung between their\nlips as Jake looked up in awe, unable to comprehend how Al could even still\nhave the strength to continue. The next thing he felt was the tiger's cock\npoking at his rear, the tip already stretching his tailhole.\n\"Ah! W-wait, I-I'm not\nready back there yet,\" Jake pleaded.\n\"You got me nice and slick,\ndon't worry,\" Al reassured him before plunging himself in.\nJakes paws balled up the\nsheets as he felt the tiger's cock fill his ass up to the brim. His maw hung\nopen and his tongue lay splayed out on the bed spread while the big cat's paws\nheld down his shoulders. Jake's own foxhood bounced with each thrust of Al's\nshaft, his barbs sending icy chills up his spine each time the tiger's meat\nhilted itself within him. Jake's tail instinctively wrapped itself around Al's\nleg while submissive whimpers and grunts emanated from his nostrils as he\ngasped for breath. \nAl's pace sped up as he\nblinked a bead of sweat from his eye. The reddish orange ball of fur below him\ncould barely seem to contain himself, his paws nearly tearing holes in the\nsheets as he held on as if his life depended on it. Al grinned as he relished\nthe sight of his lover's ecstasy, only to be surprised when a hot rope of fox\ncum splashed across his face. Jake's back arched as his cock cut loose, fox\nspunk flying up and coating his lover and himself with nearly a dozen spurts.\nJake loudly moaned in protest at Al's continued assault on his tail, his orgasm\nonly being pushed further in intensity. \nThe tiger just smiled in\namusement, absent mindedly licked up some of the cum on his face and then\nwincing at its bitter flavor. Al had never been one to take it in the ass, nor\ndid he enjoy returning Jake's oral favors.  It was almost a miracle they were even\ntogether, but the answer to that question now lay spattered across the two\nmales. \nJake had to keep his left\neye closed lest he suffer the painful burn of getting jizz in it. This was\nhardly the first time he'd popped off early, in fact with Al it was almost\nroutine. Jake was known for being able to cum hard, a talent he enjoyed showing\noff whenever possible since he could give himself a facial four out of five\ntimes. Al, on the other paw, was lucky if he could land his cum up to his\nnipples. However, what Al lacked in ejaculatory prowess he more than made up\nfor in volume. \nHis own orgasm approaching,\nAl increased his pace as if he was running an Olympic marathon. Poor Jake's\nvulpine frame shuddered as he cried out in a mix of pleasure and pain, his body\nunable to cope with the savage fucking he was receiving from the hulking orange\ncat. His cock shuddered again and erupted in a second orgasm, this time only\nreleasing watery droplets in a shotgun pattern all over his chest. This feeling\nwas soon followed by a warmth deep inside him, and he quickly realized that Al\nhad climaxed, too. \nThe big cat moaned in\nbliss, his tigerhood shuddering boldly as it spewed out nearly a double load of\ncum, curing Al of blueballs and also numbing the feeling in his knees as he\ncollapsed on top of Jake, smearing the fox's cum in their fur as they both lay\npanting on the bed. Jake whimpered as Al hilted him one last time, the tiger's\nthick shaft forcing some of his cum to squirt out in a ropey spider web around\nJake's well abused tailhole. \n\"Gods, that was awesome,\"\nJake gasped as Al rolled them on their sides to keep from crushing the poor fox\nas Al's cock slipped out of him. \nAl was about to reply when\nboth his and Jake's phones began to ring. Groaning with exasperation, Al rolled\nout of bed to go retrieve his phone from the desk. \n\"Damn it, it's Boles\nagain,\" he sighed before answering the phone. \"Hello, sir. What's...\"\n\"Patterson! Where the fuck\nare you?\" \n\"Uh, a hotel sir, I'm\ntaking my weekend pass now and...\"\n\"Get the hell back to the\nbase! We're under attack!\"\nAl froze as he suddenly\nrealized he heard gunfire and shouting in the background of the call.\n\"Lieutenant, what's going on over there?\"\n\"Those creatures opened a\ngod damned portal right in the middle of the base! We're getting slaughtered\nhere!\"\nThe call abruptly ended,\nleaving Al with nothing but dead silence. His mouth hung open in shock as he\nturned to look at Jake, the fox still grinning with blissful ignorance as he\ndrifted off to sleep.\n\"Jake! Wake up man!\"\n\"Grrrrrr, not again Al, I\nneed to...\"\n\"The aliens are back!\nThey're attacking the base right now!\"\nJake's eyes flew open and\nhe sat up to look at Al with a stone cold expression. \"You're not serious...\"\nAl was already wrestling\nhimself back into his wrinkled uniform as he replied. \"I am dude! Get the fuck\nout of the bed and follow me already!\"\nMoments later they were\ndown in the hotel's parking garage. They had taken Al's car, and in a moment of\nclear thinking he had gotten his keys out during the elevator ride down. Both\nhe and Jake were dead tired, and yet both of their hearts were beating as if\nthey were in the middle of running a marathon. They knew it would take nearly\nfifteen minutes to get back to base, and that was if they caught all the\nlights. With their minds so preoccupied with what lay ahead of them, neither\nremembered to fasten their seatbelts as they sped out into the late hours of\nthe night. \n\"Jesus man, what in the\nfuck is going on?\" Jake huffed as he braced himself on the dashboard. \"I-I mean\nthis is real right? I'm not dreaming am I?\"\n\"If you are I hope you wake\nup soon,\" Al replied as he focused on not clipping any of the cars he sped past\nwhile doing nearly 80 MPH in a 45 zone. \n\"Oh god, oh god I don't\nthink I can do this,\" Jake panted. \"I mean fuck, it's one thing to be shooting\nreligious fanatics in the middle of the Gobi desert, at least I know they're\nnot gonna pop out of thin air and chow down on my face! But these things, god\ndamn it it's like they're straight out of some sick nightmare!\"\n\"Get ahold of yourself\ndude,\" Al calmly replied, \"Just focus on the mission. Regroup, re-arm, and\nengage. These things die, we know that, so we've got nothing to fear except for\nwho's the unlucky bastard to buy the first round after we mop the floor with\nthese bastards.\"\n\"You don't get it\ndude...these things aren't gonna stop coming. They came from outta nowhere, and\nthere's nothing we can do to stop them.\"\n\"They have to be here for\nsomething,\" Al retorted. \"I mean why else why would they come now of all times?\nAnd why here?\"\nBoth went silent for a\nmoment and then looked at each other. \"Blackmon!\" they shouted in unison.\n\"That kid...I knew he was\ntrouble. He's gotta know something about these things and why they're after\nhim, right?\"\n\"I just know that Boles had\nsome questions for him,\" Al answered while slamming the brakes to take a sharp\nleft turn, narrowly avoiding an oncoming bus. \"Fuck!\"\n\"Jesus dude, you'll get us\nkilled before these things even get a chance.\"\n\"Oh shut up,\" Al snarled.\n\"But you're right, we need to find him before these things do. I'm sure\neveryone at that base has the same idea.\"\n\"Dude, what if he's like\none of them or something. What if he's the one bringing them here...like some\nkinda of alien wizard or some shit?\"\n\"You do remember we found\nhim stabbing one of these things to death with a shard of glass, right? He's\ndefinitely not one of them,\" Al reminded his friend.\nJust then their exit came\nup and Al quickly swerved to the right towards their base's driveway. In an\ninstant they saw things were literally going to hell; smoke and flames rose\nabove the chain link fence surrounding the perimeter, and inside the black\nsilhouettes of soldier and beast alike danced about to an orchestra of screams\nand gunfire. The guards at the front gate had already abandoned their post and\nleft it wide open, giving Al and Jake second thoughts about entering the\nfacility as they watched hundreds of the base's civilian workers flee past\ntheir car on foot. \n\"Okay, first thing's\nfirst,\" Al said as he drove past the receiving center's large gray warehouse,\n\"Let's find some weapons, then we go get Blackmon and see what he knows.\"\n\"Right,\" Jake conceded with\na hard swallow.\n\"You're gonna be fine,\nJake, just stick with me,\" Al said calmly as he patted the fox's shoulder. \nLooking for weapons didn't\ntake long as they approached the quarter of the base housing the airfield and hangars.\nThe source of the invasion was inside this section of the facility, and by now\nevery able bodied fur had tooled up and entered it in hopes of containing the\nalien threat. It had only been twenty minutes since the attack started, and yet\nthe tarmac was strewn with hundreds of dead bodies and dismembered limbs of\nalien and furry alike. Al quickly pulled his car off to the side and hopped out\nwith Jake to over to an entire squad of marines lying face down in a collective\npool of blood. Upon reaching them it was apparent that none had survived\nwhatever they'd encountered. Some were missing whole sections of their bodies,\nwhile others had severe burns that left them charred and still smoking as bits\nof embers flickered on their corpses in the dawn's twilight. \n\"Oh god...\" Jake gagged as he\nfelt his mouth fill with spit and bile.\n\"Get it together Jake,\nnow's not the time!\" Al barked as he searched the bodies for any useable\nweapons. \nJake tried to stop\nretching, but even he had never seen anything this bad in the seven years he'd\nbeen in the military. The enemy had always been far away and technologically\ninferior. Now they were up close and personal, and furthermore their technology\nbordered on the supernatural in terms of its abilities. Finally, his stomach\ncalled down enough for him to be able to stand up straight, although he still\nhad to keep his eyes trained upwards.\n\"Here,\" Al said as he\npassed an M-560 assault rifle to Jake along with a few undamaged spare\nmagazines. \"None of their bandoliers are still intact, so just stuff them in\nyour cargo pockets.\"\nAl, being a support gunner,\nopted for a more familiar weapon and grabbed a M-145 machine gun off of a dead\nmarine polar bear. Together the two marines jogged into the slew of combat\nerupting before their very eyes. Swirling in the middle of the base's runway\nwas a massive red fog; the clouds twisting like a maelstrom in the ocean with\norange bolts of lightning cracking within its depths. Thunder crackled in tune\nwith the shrieks of a million tortured souls as the denizens of Hell spewed\nforth from the heart of the storm. Some crawled, others walked, and still\nothers flew. Hideous spawn of evil with twisted faces, leathery skin, and\nyellowed fangs aged with millennia of torment now roamed free for their first\ntime in their existence. Their mouths watered, their swollen bellies ached, and\nbefore them lay a feast of epic proportions. \nThe marines had surrounded\nthe cloud with a barricade cobbled together from the dozens of 4x4s and light\ntanks in the base parking lot. At first their sheer overwhelming firepower\neviscerated the demons, with few ever reaching the edges of the cloud. But they\njust kept coming. For every demon to fall, two more crept out to take its\nplace. Before long all the 4x4s had depleted their machinegun ammunition, and\nthe tanks were down to only one of their three anti-air cannons. In the\nbackground trucks raced to and from the ammo dump; the crews hurrying to\nretrieve every last round of ammunition available to stem the deluge of twisted\nevil coming their way. \nThe blood of the dead now\nflowed like a river, the black soupy liquid nearly a quarter inch deep as it\nwashed under the tires and treads of the vehicles. Many marines slipped and\nfell in it, their uniforms becoming tainted with the smell of spoiled meat and\nsulfur. All the while they fought, even as the barrels of their weapons gave off\nsteam as they literally boiled the humidity in the air. \nAl and Jake quickly made\ntheir way to the barricade where they found Captain Boles leading the\nfight.  The German Shepherd was too busy\nfighting to notice his squadmates standing beside him as he dumped another\nmagazine into the hoard of demons crawling forth. \n\"Sir, reporting for duty!\"\nAl yelled over the deafening symphony of rifles and cannons. \n\"Patterson! Thank fuck,\nwe're getting overrun here!\" Boles yelled as he went to reload. \"These things\nwiped out a whole platoon of UAC guards before we got to the armory. We almost\nlost this section of the base when the tank support showed up and helped us\ncorral them towards the portal they're coming from.\" \n\"Any way to close it?\" Jake\nasked while taking aim and blasting away at a pair of shambling, furless wolves\nwhose flesh seemed to be melting off their bones. \n\"Dr. Dreier's working on\nsomething but he hasn't said what. All I know is our guns are overheating and\nwe're low on ammo. If this goes on much longer we'll have to fall back and hope\nwe don't get run over in the process!\"\nJust then a fireball\nsplashed onto the hood of the 4x4 the three marines were standing behind, its\nheat making them jump as several more flaming orbs rained down upon the\nbarricade. One marine took a hit to the arm and fell to the ground flailing in\npanic as his shirt went ablaze and threatened to cook the whole limb. His\ncomrades quickly patted him out as the thirteen eyed imps strutted forth from\nthe fog, their long claws shimmering with the flammable secretions used to\ncreate their fiery attack. \n\"Where the hell is\nBlackmon?\" Al asked as he let off burst after burst of fire from his own\nweapon. \n\"I told him to stay put in\nthe barracks until we handled this,\" Boles answered. \"He's safe, don't worry.\"\n\"We need him now, he's got\nto know how to stop these things!\" Jake shouted.\n\"He doesn't even know how\nhe got here, how's he gonna stop this?\"\n\"You got any better ideas,\nsir?\" Jake countered. \n\"Grrr, fuck!\" Boles swore\nas he reached up to his helmet's radio button and hit the push to talk switch.\n\"This is Captain Boles to HQ Bravo Quebec, I need you guys to get Blackmon and\nbring him out to the airfield quadrant gate ASAP.\"\nIt took a second for a\nreply, but when it came the news didn't bode well. \"Uh, Captain we've got a\nproblem. Blackmon's missing and neither of his escorts are answering their\npages. We're combing the building now but it might be a while.\"\n\"What? How the fuck do you\nlose one kid locked in a room with armed guards?\" Boles demanded angrily.\nStrangely, no reply came. \n\"We've lost Blackmon guys,\nhe went missing and base security can't seem to find him,\" Boles explained to\nhis two squadmates. \n\"Oh god, I fuckin' knew\nthat kid was in on this!\" Jake spat as he fumbled to reload for the third time.\n\"He's probably laughing at us getting merced out here!\"\nSuddenly, a wall of flames\nerupted from within the fog an washed over one of the 4x4s, engulfing it in\norange heat as the tongues of fire wrapped around immolated the marines behind\nit. The 4x4's fuel cell cracked open, releasing a cloud of hydrogen that\nexploded almost instantly. The screams of the dying were snuffed out in an\ninstant as several marines bolted from cover and beat a hasty retreat. Several\nothers began piling into their trucks and trying to speed away as Boles desperately\ntried to rally his men. \nWalking forth from the fog\ncame a tall pale white creature with a swollen cranium and deep, empty eye\nsockets that dripped with tears of blood. Holding its arms above its head,\nflames seemed to engulf its entire body as the remaining marines watched in an\nawestruck stupor. And then, without warning the demon broke the vile arch it\nhad formed as it pushed its arms forward and hurled another wall of fire, this\ntime engulfing one of the tanks and detonating the remaining ammunition stored\ninside. Shrapnel eviscerated dozens of men unlucky enough to be standing\nnearby; a bloody mist surreally hung in the air where they had once stood. \n\"FUCKING RUN FOR IT!\" came\nthe resounding cry of those left alive. \nNo one bothered to try and\nsave the vehicles now, it was every man for himself. The hellish abominations\ncontinued to flood out of the fog, their numbers never ceasing to multiply as\nlarger, more brutish denizens made their way out. \nOverhead, a quartet of\nhelicopter gunships arrived. All of them were large transports reconfigured for\ncombat, with rocket pods and chain guns mounted on wing pylons while door\ngunners sat along the sides wielding automatic grenade launchers and large\ncaliber sniper rifles. Upon their arrival the choppers opened fire, their heavy\nordinance cratering the tarmac and sending chunks of meat flying into the air\nas rockets and cannon shells blasted the demonic scourge. \nSuddenly, a terrible scream\nemanated across the entire base. Its shout escaped no ears, the source\nseemingly coming from the very storm where every other evil entity was pouring\nout from. And then they came, hundreds of ghostly skulls alit with flame poured\nout of the fog and rushed towards any sentient being they could find. Dozens of\nretreating marines were struck in the back by the skulls, only to find\nthemselves frozen, an invisible force now tying their limbs down. Their eyes\nand gums bled, their teeth decayed almost instantly to black tarred rocks, and\ntheir minds were no longer their own. And then came a strange sense of peace as\ntheir souls were given up to the sky, while below their twisted corpses now\nwalked with their own strange sense of hunger. \n\"What the hell? JOHN! What\nthe fuck are you doin'?\" asked a fox who had noticed his best friend had just\nstopped running and was merely standing about in the middle of the battle. \nThe fox couldn't see his\nfriend's face behind his helmet's visor, so it was with complete and utter\nshock when he felt a rifle bullet strike him in his armored chest plate. The\nimpact knocked him down on his back, but he quickly scrambled and drew his\nsidearm without delay. He didn't know what was happening, but his friend was\nnow shooting at him! The fox clenched his teeth as he fired back and struck\nJohn twice through his visor, putting down the shambling husk of his former\nbrother in arms. The fox was about to stand up, when he suddenly felt a dark\nshadow come over him and upon looking up he caught a glimpse of a helicopter\nshortly before it crashed upon him.  \nThe helicopters hadn't been\nspared their curse of the skulls either, with each losing one or two men to\ntheir possession. Door gunners drew their sidearms and shot out the pilots, and\nin one case both pilots were taken and simply kamikazed the nearest cluster of\nretreating marines they could find. \nCaptain Boles was in utter\nshock as he lead what few men remained from his company towards one of the\nlarge fortified aircraft hangars lining the runway. Already several men had\ntaken refuge inside and were desperately trying to shut the doors while the\nlast of the surviving marines hurried through. Jake and Al weren't far behind\nas they desperately sprinting for cover as the hoard of demon spawn outside\ncharged after them. Slowly the doors closed, the marines inside all watching in\nangst through the cracked doors as the demons rushed to follow them, only to be\nstopped at the last moment as the armored gates closed with a loud thud. \n\"Alright, everyone keep\nmoving to the underground maintenance tunnel, we'll head back into the\nreceiving center and take whatever weapons we can find there,\" Boles commanded\nas he took charge of the twenty or so men still with him.\nOutside, the churs and\ncalls of the demons could be heard as they scratched and prodded against the\nheavy steel doors of the hangar. While they didn't appear to be capable of\ncutting through, none of the marines wished to stand around and wait to find\nout. \n\"Captain, how in the hell\ndo we stop these things?\" Jake asked as he and the others followed Boles to a\nstairwell leading underground. \n\"The sooner we find\nBlackmon the sooner I'll have an answer for you, kid,\" he solemnly replied.\n*************\n\"Hey! You're not authorized\nto be back here!\" yelled a UAC security guard as he stumbled upon a lone marine\ncracking open a weapons crate sitting on the loading dock of the base's\nreceiving center. \n\"Sorry,\" Kyle replied as he\nfinished prying open the lid to a large polymer container covered in warning\nlabels. \"The biggest gun in the armory was some kinda fancy rocket launcher,\nand when I asked if they had anything bigger, this being the future and all,\nthey told me to look out here. I was half expecting to find a tank or\nsomething, but then I noticed this thing sitting here and figured I'd give it a\nlook.\"\n\"You can't open that\nthough, that's a classified weapon we just got from the UAC testing center in\nOakridge, Maryland!\"\n\"Classified? It looks like\nsomeone glued a trigger to my mom's clothes dryer,\" Kyle said as he lifted what\nappeared to be some sort of large gun out of the case and read off the label.\n\"Bee Eff, Gee 9...oh wait that's BFG-9000. Pfff, what kinda stupid name is that\nfor a gun? I mean what does that stand for?\"\nThe guard shrugged as\nreached for his pistol. \"I don't know man, but I'm gonna have to ask to you to\nplease...gently...put that back in its case and forget you ever saw it here.\"\n\"Uhhh, are you actual\nmilitary or just a UAC rentacop?\" Kyle asked.\n\"What do you think,\nsmartass?\"\nKyle nodded and picked up\none of the ammo packs from the gun's crate and started to walk off towards the\nrising plume of smoke from the other side of the base. \n\"I think you need to go\nhome and get back to beating up your fat wife,\" Kyle retorted.\n\"Ha! Joke's on you, my\nwife's a model for the UAC line of jumpsuits and...heyyyyy, I said hold it\nmister!\"\nKyle stopped and gave the\nguard a serious expression. \"Look buddy, we're getting shellacked out there by\ngod knows what, and you're keeping me from getting in there and keeping these\nthings from turning us into canned meat. So either nut up and follow me, or get\nthe hell out of my way. Oh, and if that's the case, your wife is probably\nfucking your teenage neighbor while you're at work.\" \nWith that, Kyle took off\nwith his new toy while the guard chased after him in foaming rage. The sounds\nof gunfire had briefly died down as the marines retreated, but now more men had\narrived along with a contingent of UAC private security ops and even officers\nfrom the Miami SWAT unit. Kyle could hardly believe just how many troops were\nbeing thrown into the fight only for them to be beaten back or knocked aside\nlike they were mere pawns on a chessboard. \nKyle finally reached the\nairfield quadrant of the base where he saw the reinforcements were doing very\nlittle to slow the demons' advance. Most of the soldiers were armed with\nassault rifles and grenades, which was a step down from the tanks and light\ntactical vehicles the marines had been using. He wasn't sure how many rounds\nhis new gun held, but Kyle knew for sure that he'd need to make them count by\nstriking at the very heart of the beast. While it had been a while since Kyle\nhad faced the legions of Hell, he knew enough about their methods to reason\nthat if their portals can bring them to Earth, they could just as easily send\nthem home. And so he charged forth, sprinting clean past demons and zombified\nterrors as the evil spirits and walking dead ignored him, their focus being on\nthe large collection of men with guns shooting at them. \nThe surviving marines had\nlucked out and managed to find an access tunnel that lead straight up to a\nmanhole in the base's civilian parking lot. There, they had come face to face\nwith UAC private security troops decked out in full combat gear. It took only a\nminute for them to get re-equipped before they all headed back inside the base with\nthe UAC mercenaries. Boles was eager for some payback, as were most of the\nmarines with him. However, all thoughts of revenge were set aside when they\nnoticed Blackmon was charging into the heart of the swarm with almost nothing\nin the way of armament. \n\"What the fuck?! Is that...OH\nMY GOD! Blackmon you idiot! What the hell are you doing?\" Boles shouted as they\nwatched Kyle run within fifty feet of them, only to continue on like a madman\ntowards the swirling red mist that seemed to be creeping out from its original\nspawning point. \n\"What do we do sir?\" Al\nasked as the other marines looked on in shock.\n\"We cover his ass and make\nsure he gets back here alive damn it! ON ME! FIRE AT WILL!\"\nThe marines quickly took\noff after Blackmon, their rifles spraying lead wildly into the crowd of demons\nas they tried to help clear the way for Blackmon. Many of the hellspawn had\npooled up around the hangar while attempting to chase the marines, only to be\nambushed by the arrival of UAC mercs and Miami SWAT units in APCs armed with\n14.5mm heavy machineguns. \nThe demons dropped like\nflies as they paused to consider which group of mortals to attack, only for a\nbullet to catch them between the shoulder blades and split their blackened\nhearts open like a flower. Demons capable of hurling fire tried to do so, but\nfew of their rounds managed to find their mark before their throwers were\ngunned down.  All the while, Kyle closed\nin on the heart of the swirling portal. \n\"Al! Jake! Get in there and\npull him back!\" Boles ordered the fox and tiger to his left while the rest of\ntheir platoon continued to do their best at holding off the demonic hoards\nsurrounding them. \nThe two marines nodded and\nrushed forward to try and secure Blackmon before he got himself killed. Their\ntask was made easier by the fact that Kyle had suddenly stopped running so as\nto take aim with his weapon...a weapon he had no idea how to use. A glowing green\nsphere appeared at the BFG's muzzle, only to grow larger and larger as Kyle\ncontinued to hold down the trigger. \n\"Oh shit...what is he doing?\"\nJake asked while huffing it next to Al as they desperately tried to reach\nKyle's position.\n\"I don't fuckin...BLACKMON!\nWhat are you insane?\" Al shouted as he ran up and grabbed Kyle's shoulder.\nKyle nearly wheeled around,\nonly to release the trigger and launch a massive glowing orb of plasma straight\ninto the heart of the demonic portal. Suddenly bolts of lightning erupted forth\nfrom the orb, striking each demon unlucky enough to be caught near it. Like a\nknife through butter the orb cut clean through the demonic hoard, only to\nimpact a massive demon just as it came through the portal and explode with a\nbrightness that rivaled the sun's own brilliance. Kyle, Al, and Jake all fell\non their backs as the shockwave pushed them down, the portal's very existence\nnow shattered. Instead of trying to spew demons into the realm of the living,\nit began to suck the living into the realm of the damned. \nKyle sat up as he felt\nhimself being pulled across the ground towards a bright red glowing tear\nrunning across the scarred face of the airfield. The red mist was drawn back\nwithin it as the portal began to seal itself, but not before everything nearby\nwas sucked inside. Kyle rolled onto his stomach and tried to crawl away, only\nto feel himself lifted into the air and yanked by his ankles towards the gaping\nmaw of Hell itself. His heart felt as if it was lodged in the back of his\nthroat as he flailed about in the air, only to then notice Jake and Al were\nfloating along with him. \n\"Ooooooohhh\nfuuuuuuuuuhhhhhh-!\" Jake screamed as they all helplessly sailed forth into\nfiery oblivion. \nThen, just as they went\nover the edge, another force seemed to grab Kyle from behind by the collar of\nhis fatigue blouse. Quickly he reached out and grabbed Jake and Al by their\nankles as they started to fall past him, grunting as he strained to hold up\nboth of the marines with all the strength he could muster. Looking up, Kyle\nhalf expected to see a guardian angel, or at the very least another marine who\nhad managed to reach them in time. Instead, he was face to face with  an all too familiar black cloaked figure;\nDeath, his ironically all too familiar friend in life. \n\"Aww crap,\" Kyle wheezed as\nhe felt his heart sink out of his throat and into the pit of his stomach. \n"}
