This was a poem I wrote when I was in an emotional state when I finally accepted my LGBT sexuality.","content":"Silent we were\n\nOur hearts beat strong\n\nTogether they sound as one\n\n- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;\n\nBattered and bruised our bodies become\n\nOur hearts beat strong\n\nWe stand together as one\n\n- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;\n\nOur fists are thrown in the air\n\nAnd we chant\n\nWe chant with all our might\n\n- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;\n\nOur long silence is broken\n\nIn the eyes of MLK and Mahatma\n\nViolence in our actions will be the death of us\n\n- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;\n\nWe stand as one to fight for one\n\nOthers are granted this right but we are not\n\nWe are discriminated and we suffer\n\nBut no longer will we stand this intolerance\u0026nbsp;\n\n- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;\n\nWe are human\n\nThey are human\n\nWe are the same\n\nYet we are not\n\n- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;\n\nOur hearts reach for those willing\n\nWe are a loving force\n\nA fighting force\n\nNever a violent force\n\n- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;\n\nUntil that day that comes\n\nWe grow stronger day by day\n\n- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;\n\nUntil that day that comes\n\nWe stand strong\n\nWhen freedom touches upon us\n\n- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;- \u0026nbsp;\n\nUntil that day that comes\n\nWe stand as one\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
