Something about me was different, as if I had somehow been\nreborn. From the twitching in my tail to the wiggling of my toes and\npaws, for the first time in a long time I truly felt that I had total\ncontrol over my body. Happily taking a hold of my wagging tail, the\nwarmth from that appendage started to spread across my entire body.\nGiggling, I soon caught the scent of someone approaching from the\nhallway. A couple of knocks on the door later and in walked a cute\nlooking audino who gave me a curious glance. \"Well good morning\ndear,\" he spoke softly. Still clutching my tail closely, my face\nheated up from the embarrassment of being seen doing this. The audino\nonly smiled as he turned to leave. \"Please relax for a moment while\nI go get the healer who treated you.\" After gently closing the\ndoor, I was left alone with the urge to observe my surroundings. The first thing that I noticed\nwere the tacky yellow colored walls with painted pictures of various\nflowers scattered everywhere. On the wall to my right were a couple\nof open windows that would let in a cooling breeze. Meanwhile, a\nquiet snoring to my left had just gone unnoticed until now. Shocked,\nI found the flaaffy from before sleeping on the other side of the\nroom. He was covered up in bandages and his breathing had become\nshort and rugged. I kinda felt sorry for what I did to him. I mean,\nhe only deserved about half of what I had given him. Seeing him\ngrumble awake, I dropped my line of thinking and watched him. Seeing\nhis body all wrapped up, he tried to move around only to wince from\nthe soreness of his injuries. \"Damn that charmander,\" he\nhuffed in frustration. \"Damn the way that her eyes flared up with\nmurderous determination. It was like she turned into a completely\ndifferent pokemon. How the hell did she change like that all of a\nsudden?\" I gave a cough to get his attention. \"You know, if you\nweren't such a big asshole back there, you might have been able to\nwalk away as the victor. Now it looks like you wouldn't be able to\nwalk at all for the next week or so.\" Realizing that I was in the\nroom with him, he quickly clamped his mouth shut. Unable to turn his\nhead to look at me, he just stared up at the ceiling. \"Asshole,\nhuh,\" he chuckled quietly. \"Says the girl with the attitude\nproblem. You just got lucky that day.\" After a few more minutes of\nsilence, he slowly drifted back into dreamland. Beating off the urge to punch\nhim in the gut, I took a peek out the window. Off in the distance I\ncould see the sun slowly rising above the foundation of Offensive\nSuperiority. A couple of quick knocks at the door soon echoed into\nthe room and in walked the audino accompanied by a blissey. A glint\nof light bouncing off of something attached to the blissey's egg\npouch caught my eye but I couldn't make it due to being blinded by\nit. Clasping her paws together, the blissey gave a graceful smile\nbefore approaching. \"Hello Winta. My name is Olein and it's good to\nsee you up and looking healthy. After being treated for about two\ndays, it's safe to say that you can leave whenever you want today.\nFeel free to come and find me if you start to experience any sort of\npain or discomfort. Do you have any questions before I go?\" I was about to say something\nwhen the door had suddenly exploded open and knocked the audino\nforward into the flaaffy's bed. The sound of his agony filled the\nroom and spilled out into the hallway. Along with the shrieks of pain\ncame the sound of someone shouting my name before something heavy\nlanded on top of me. Getting pulled into a hug, I returned the\nembrace and snickered a bit when I realized who it was. \"You've\nalways had a horrible sense of timing Liru,\" I whispered to the\ntotodile. She punched me on the back and told me to shut up. \"I was\nworried sick about you and the first thing you say to me is that?\"\nshe whispered back with a hint of fear in her voice. \"When you\ndidn't wake up for a day, I thought I lost you again.\" I pushed her away for a moment\nto look her straight in the eyes. \"It'll take more then that\nscreaming ball of fuzz over there to take me down permanently,\" I\ngrinned, pointing to the flaaffy. Olein and the audino managed to\ncalm him down by now and together all looked at Liru angrily.\nStepping forward, the blissey puffed up her chest and exhaled in\nfrustration. \"What you did was unacceptable. I can forgive you for\ndisturbing the peace of all the patients here, but causing injury to\nthem? That's taking it too far. Now tell me who your commanding chief\nis so that I can tell them of your actions.\" Arriving on cue, Truce\nappeared huffing for a breath. \"There you are,\" he panted. \"I\nlooked everywhere for you. Should have realized that you'd come here\nto visit Winta. I--.\" His smile turned sour when he saw Olein\nglaring at him. Taking a couple of steps back, he turned to Liru and\nme. \"Oh crap. What did you guys do?\" Pointing a paw at the zangoose,\nOlein approached him with a look in her eyes that just screamed\ndanger. \"That blue hooligan is one of yours I presume?\" Truce\nstumbled to find the right words but Olein placed her paw onto his\nmuzzle. \"I don't want to hear it. Just take her away from this\nplace. I'm going to go lie down for a minute and I expect the both of\nyou to be gone by then. Got it?\" Nodding his head furiously, he\nmoved to the side of the room to let her through. \"Oh, before I\nforget,\" she said turning to look at me, \"Sorry Winta, but please\ncome find me if you have any questions or start to feel any kind of\npain. Have a wonderful day dear.\" With that said, she gently closed\nthe door and left. Wiping his brow, Truce released the breath that he\nwas holding in. \"Come on, you two,\" he grumbled. \"Let's get\ngoing before we get into some serious trouble.\" \"Woah, she was the chief of\nhealth and recovery?\" Liru cried in astonishment. I too was\nsurprised after finding this out. Putting some things together in my\nhead, I came up with a mischievous idea. \"It looked like you two\nknew each other. I wonder if there was something that went wrong\nbetween you two. You know, relationship wise?\" Seeing Truce blush,\nit seemed that I hit the nail on the head but he waved it off. \"No,\nnothing like that happened between us. It was just something I did\nlong ago that peeved her off. Sort of like what Liru did to that\nflaafy, only it was much more worse.\" I decided to drop the subject\nsince it looked like talking about it was starting to hurt him. \"So\nwhere we headed to?\" I asked, concerned that he wouldn't let me go\nto my division. \"Well, my captain took an interest in you after\nyour battle with a pokemon who was almost twice your level and wanted\nme to bring you in to meet with him. He's a nice guy but can be very\nunpredictable, so I don't really know what his intentions are.\nAnyways, we have to hurry up or else we'll be late.\"","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/653766-defenders-of-evodusai-part-8.json"}
