Rather than confront the person and possibly make things worse, I figured it might be better if I wrote it out. If you decide to comment on it, just know that everything I said here was from the heart and it meant a lot to me.","content":"My life; that's just what it is\n\nMany decades in the making\n\nDepending on however I go about it\n\nI've opened my eyes and now I'm waking\n\nI'm a young black man who happens to be a furry\n\nFor some out there, it might seem somewhat scary\n\nDon't be alarmed, it's just who I am\n\nThis ain't for attention, this is not a scam\n\nIt's something that I like\n\nWithout a shadow of a doubt\n\nYou probably can't stand it\n\nBut I'm not gonna pout\n\nThere are those that say it's not what we do\n\nSimply that it's much too taboo\n\nSince when do my interests matter to you\n\nIt's not your concern and it's not about you\n\nIf that's the case, then what should I do with myself?\n\nBecause from what it looks like to me\n\nI'm just another brother on these streets\n\nTrying to find my way from what I see\n\nThere were many times where I've seen brothers in trouble\n\nToo many times have I seen brothers hurtin' one another\n\nI don't want to see myself being a part of that\n\nGoing around fighting and shooting at each other\n\nI don't want to be in a bad position, either dead or in jail\n\nOnly being able to talk with my friends and family by mail\n\nI have a set plan for what my future holds ahead\n\nWhen I've reached the top, I'll know that I'm truly alive and not dead\n\nI chose this path and to you it's probably strange\n\nBut that's the way of the world as nothing is ever normal\n\nYeah, I'll likely be wearing a tail and ears\n\nIt's probably so strange to you, it's almost paranormal\n\nSociety shown me for years that I can't or shouldn't do it\n\nThat I should just curl up in a ball and die in a pit\n\nI say to hell with society and its flaws\n\nI'm gonna be proud of what I am and show my paws\n\nThere's nothing wrong with being a furry, no reason to set sail\n\nI'm comfortable with who I am from my head to my tail\n\nBecause at the end of the day, it will definitely seem\n\nThat I've defied all odds because I'm daring to dream\n\nHey, I'm proud to be black and proud to be a furry\n\nDon't question that for one second because you will see\n\nThat what you say will not change who I am as a person\n\nSo go ahead, tell these people something they don't already know about me.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/681319-goingincircles.json"}}
