#16 of My Poems

sometimes my mind doesn't let me ever forget..

As i sit in the light,
recording what i hear,
what i see, everything into my tablet.
Tears run down my cheeks, i look at my hands,
sometimes i see so much blood,
i can smell the metallic taint.
My hands feel sticky, before with a start,
everything is clean, no blood and smell.
Everything returns to normal as i shake,
more tears start to flow,
while i wrestle with my inner demons.
I sit at the edge, staring at an abyss,
horror and pain fill it to the brimm.
I shift and next to it,
Beauty and peace fills the second.
As the wind blows to cool the tears on my cheeks,
my stomach tosses and churns,
even as i come to grip with all i have seen.
i struggle to not break.
