Just gotta flow with the car...right? The car they had me driving was

a 95 ford escort cosworth. This ol'gal was a bute. I mean fine as hell, stands out from the rest of those evo's and STI's,

and now it was my turn, to give her a go. The only thing i had to do was simple, race against the clock, beat the said

amount of time, and we go from there for placement. when i was pulling up to the starting line, the announcer was..

well an announcer, happy ha-ha. "Alright everybody here comes the next driver...oh I see, ladies and gentlemen give a

good welcome cheer to Jason out newest driver here!" Once the announcer had said his piece, the small crowd started

to cheer a bit, and small as it were, it worked, I was pumped more then ever. Before, I was focused on winning for Tasha.

But now, I was in the spot light, its my turn to shine....hopefully. "Alright Jason are you ready!?" I simply reaved the engine

twice as a yes or acknowledgment, "Alright then here we go! 3...2...1...GOOO!!!" As soon as he said go, a green flag flew

down and around giving me the sign to go.

I stomped my foot to the floor and took off like a bullet. AWD or All Wheel Drive, which ment that all four wheels were getting

power, 6-speed manual transmission, all of this put togather and i was just having the time of my life, grabbing gears as if it was

a hurst shifter, the starting line was on a long straight-away. I had plenty of speed, buck ten or buck twenty but i saw the barriors

come up quick, it was a sharp left turn and it went from pavement, to dirt. Soon as I hit the dirt, my traction got a hell of lot looser,

this is where the fun began. Even though my traction was looser, it gave me the ability to round corners a little more fun, I was taking

turns as if the car was driving for me, using her weight to slide in the dirt. I was rounding the last wide turn to the pavement, but by

that time i had gotten used to the dirt. Soon as my tires hit the pavement, i got my traction back, but i wasn't mentally prepared for

it and jerked the steering wheel to the side a few times and spun out. Nothing bad happened, I just lost control. "Dammet!" Granted

I wasn't in the best of moods that time. I stabbed the clutch in, stuck her in fist, and spun her around to where i was facing the right

direction. Soon as I was, I floored it and charged ahead. I was coming up to the start/finish line, and as I was, I heard in my headset

inside my helmate, "not bad for a rookie, lets see if you can even pass me?" It was Venom's voice, but I didn't see her. When i passed

the start/finish line, i saw a car down the straight-away. it was a plain blue Suburu, but as I got closer, it was a 22B, those models

are notorious for their killer engine'e, the power they crank out when tuned properly is mind blowing, and I was about to race her.

Before i could even get close to her so we can start at the same time, I saw the 22B wheel's spin and she took off fast, I only got

on the breaks out of force of habbit. People where I lived weren't the brightest ha-ha. Venom had a good three car lengths ahead

of me, it was going to take some hard pushen to catch up to her, Venom started to slow down for the first turn, and from what

I saw, she wasn't slowing down enough, but sure enough, she took the turn hard and slid into the turn as if she had done it a

million times....had she? So I thought whatever she can do I can do better, So I attempted to do the same, I came in hard and only

slowed down enough to feel good for the turn, I stabbed the clutch in quick and grabbed a lower gear and turn the escort sideways.

Now the angle was right, but the speed was too fast. My Bumper started to scrape along the hard dirt wall. and soon enough it was

trying to turn the rest of the car into the wall. I tapped the breaks a little bit still holding the steering wheel left and then gave her

some gas. Once I did that, i heard a snap from the back of the car, but i ignored it seeing as how the car was still fine. I was doing

my damnest to catch her, and I saw her in the distance. Now weather or not she was waiting for me or not didn't matter, I was

catching up and that was all that was repeating in my mind. She took a turn that was a light bend to the left and she was gone

but only for a couple of seconds, I was taking the turn next and after the turn I felt my traction get a little better, but I paid it no

mind, until I saw that her car wasn't trailing a cloud of dirt. We were on the pavement for the straight-away. She had this race in

the bag, and just to show off, her break lights came on and she started to spin out, right across the finish line. I simply relaxed

myself as i crossed the finish line. I got on the breaks and pulled over to the side and slowed to a stop. I looked over and saw Venom's

car pulling up slowly, once parked she got out, helmate on and all. "Good run, seems you got the handle on that last turn, buuuut."

Venom just sat there just looking at me, I was still in the car looking back, so I put my hands up in a gesture of confusion.

"But what? I need to work on my racing, my skills, what?" i said curiously and a bit sarcasitcly i might add. "Oh no none of that.

Tell you what, meet me in the room you woke up in ok? ok good bu-bye!" She said in a cheerful voice. Venom then got in her car,

started her up and then sped off. I just sat there watching her car go towards the exit of the track. "...What!?" I was soooo

consfused. What could she possibly want?

to be continued?...........
