Pretty much what the title says.","content":"* * *\n\nWhen you hear the word  \nsoul mate most people think  \nof the person they were meant  \nto be with. The one they are   \nsupposed to marry and grow  \nold with. Their other half.  \nTheir lover. The one person   \nin life who gets them and   \ncompletes them.\n\nEveryone gets so caught up in soul   \nmates only being about romance   \nwhen in reality they are meant  \nto be so much more.\n\nI saw someone say once that  \nsoul mates are about so much  \nmore then love or marriage.\n\nA soul mate can be all of those  \nthings, but they can also be a friend.  \nAn acquaintance. A person who comes  \ninto our life but doesn't necessarily stay  \nin it forever.\n\nThey said that a soul mate is someone  \nwho teaches you something in such  \na way that your life is better because of it.  \nThey teach you something that changes   \nyou, alters you so much that you cannot  \ngo back to who you were before.\n\nAnd if they stay then you're life is so  \nmuch better because of their presence  \nbut if they do not then they are never   \nforgotten. Their impact on your life  \nremains with you until the day you die  \nand you cannot think of who you have  \nbecome without thinking of the impact  \nthat they had in getting you there.\n\nThey said that you can have more then  \none soul mate. You can have a person  \nwho is just and only a friend as  \na soul mate and still have someone to   \nlove and grow old with because both  \nof them have taught you in different ways.\n\nI don't know if I'll ever meet  \nthat romantic soul mate. That person I  \nlove with all my heart and grow older   \nwith side by side, but I do know that I   \nhave met you now and you have been  \na friend unlike any other.\n\nYou are my best friend, my sister, my soul  \nmate. Because out of all the lessons   \nyou have taught me there is one that   \nhas left me forever changed. A lesson   \nthat I will never forget.\n\nMore so than all other things  \nyou taught me how to live again.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"National Poetry Writing Month","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/691151-gamer-girl.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/691902-elegant-symphony.json"}}
