Nothin' too special.","content":"Skies painted grey\n\nDay after day\n\nSteeped in sorrow\n\nNever departing\n\nNot until morrow;\n\nA place\n\nA space\n\nA paradise\n\nA thing of mystery\n\nAn escape from the melancholy\n\nBut where oh where has morrow flown to?\n\nDeparted from this place\n\nLeaving not a trace\n\nTo sing to those with open ears and golden smiles\n\nTo serenade those with futures as bright as gemstones\n\nBut what of them?\n\nWhat will become of the ones left behind;\n\nThose still residing on the fringe of time?\n\nWhat is to become of those undesired?\n\nFor this reason, I exist;\n\nA Shepherd to the lost who wouldn't be missed;\n\nA Guardian for those who seek shelter from the cold;\n\nA Listener for their tales untold;\n\nI lead the furtive shadows to the land only they may live upon\n\nA place most sacred, almost forgotten\n\nA paradise for those who seek the company they had never gotten;\n\nThe space of things betwixt\n\nThis is the place I bring the lost silhouettes\n\nSo they may finally know a peace\n\nApart from the pain they felt for so long before\n\nA place where planes stretch to the horizon\n\nAnd mountains touch the heavens;\n\nWhere rivers go on without end\n\nAnd towering forests whisper tales of times long since passed;\n\nWhere the oceans are deeper than one's own imagination\n\nAnd the comfort of unity is always by your side\n\nThis is my task;\n\nTo bring peace to vagabond shadows,\n\nThose without a place in the world before\n\nKnowing only the dread of being forgotten\n\nAnd the fear of losing what had made them something more\n\nThan just a pygmy in the eyes of the world\n\nBut now they may know that which they had not before\n\nA life of countless joys, hearkening an age of yore\n\nTo be free of the binds that once kept them\n\nNow unrestrained, forever more\u0026nbsp;\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poetry","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/669207-alone.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/704562-the-broken-man.json"}}
