He handed me a data-pad. I turned it on and looked at what it had to say. I was called in for war. Against the Humans. Argh, how the race disgusted me. Polluting their planets, spreading like a disease, and causing problems throughout 'their space'. I handed the Sangheili his data-pad, and walked back to my keep. I knew what I had to do. Once there, I put my armor on, notified my wife I was going to war, and left for the nearest star cruiser. I will crush the Humans like the little pests they are. I will not fail.\n\n_Marley_\n\nI fell on my bed. Literally fell on my bed. I started crying. I missed whatever life I had before this. Even though I don't remember, I know I had some kind of life. The Spartan program can't be what I've been doing my whole life. But I'm 14, and I got here when I was 6. I don't even remember much from that time. I started to cry. It's a habit I've picked up from the rigorous training we do every day. Space physics, biology, math, reading, astronomy, and intense physical training. I've even gone through a few surgeries. All of us have. All 47 of us. I just wanted to be free. But that won't happen. Billy, another kid from my group, once disobeyed orders. He was sent to no food for a week, and he still had to do the 250 push-ups and 500 sit-ups every day. Plus there was the 2 miles we ran, and the obstical courses. Hunger didn't help with his academics either. This is why I follow my orders. Why I train to fight. Why I fight for a top spot. Why I kill to live.\n\n_ **Author's notes:** _\n\n_ **Hey guys! Sorry the story is so short, but I think of it as a kind of introduction. I plan to add more stories, and I plan to make them longer than this. I think this is a spark of a beautifully deadly story! And I also plan to have some 'Gameception'! Hang in there guys! Have fun reading, and please leave a comment! They are the only way I can get better! I have no IDEA how to stretch this out more!** _\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Halo: Battle on Both Sides","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/708702-halo-battle-on-both-sides-chapter-2.json"}}
