Read on and find out!","content":"The sun rises on another great day on Academy Island. \u0026nbsp;Students were waking up, though most were still asleep, as it was a weekend. \u0026nbsp;Several weeks have passed since the first day on campus, and all of the students had their own way to do things. \u0026nbsp;We focus on two here in particular. \u0026nbsp;Rose was currently asleep on a pile of books and papers, snoring softly. \u0026nbsp;His roommate, Hudson, was asleep on his bed, chip bags and his DS on his chest as he had fallen asleep like that. \u0026nbsp;Rose yawns, slowly waking up.\n\nRose: Ugh...stupid history, always hated it....\n\nHe arranged his stuff back on his desk, putting away his homework as he goes to shower. \u0026nbsp;When he gets back, Hudson was back up, already back to playing his game.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: You played that thing for 8 hours straight yesterday. \u0026nbsp;Aren't you getting tired of it?\n\nHudson: Hey, it's Phoenix Wright! \u0026nbsp;You can't stop once you get going!\n\nRose chuckles, smling as he gets dressed.\n\nRose: I'm going to go out for a walk around the island.\n\nHudson: Kay, don't die.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose sighs, smling as he gets his backpack on, his disk inside as he heads out. \u0026nbsp;The island was fairly large, several miles across in every direction. \u0026nbsp;There were paths going through the heavily forested island, connecting all of the major buildings to one another. \u0026nbsp;Rose walked down a path, smiling as he saw several other students, most of them sitting on the sides, working on homework or trading cards. \u0026nbsp;However, as he walked, he also noticed several couples. \u0026nbsp;They seemed to be mostly couples of the same caliber, wearing the same color of blazer or vest. \u0026nbsp;Rose sighs, taking a seat under a tree, looking at his deck.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Damn it....I wish I could really show her what I can do.....\n\n???: Show who what?\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose looks to the voice, seeing Shimmer leaning against a tree.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: S-Shimmer! \u0026nbsp;H-How long have you been there for?\n\nShimmer: Long enough. \u0026nbsp;Already got a crush?\n\nRose: Y-yeah....but, I don't know if she'd be interested in a Photon Purple....\n\nShimmer: Why should that matter? \u0026nbsp;You love her, right? \u0026nbsp;Just go for it.\n\nRose: I....Alright.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose stands up, going over to her.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Shimmer...please, go out with me!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer flinched a bit, then chuckled.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: Seriously? \u0026nbsp;You wanted me? \u0026nbsp;Nice try, not interested.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose flinched, tearing up a bit, but he held it back. \u0026nbsp;As Shimmer turned to leave, he grabbed her shoulder.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: If you won't agree like this....then I'll fight for it!\n\nShimmer: I'm listening...\n\nRose: I...I challenge you to a duel! \u0026nbsp;Tomorrow, right here, high noon. \u0026nbsp;If I win, then you'll go out with me. \u0026nbsp;Even if it's just one date.\n\nShimmer: And if I win?\n\nRose: ...I'll never bother you about this again, I won't even speak with you unless I truly have to.\n\nShimmer: Interesting... I'm going to win this....I'll need to use THAT deck.....\n\n-------------------------------\n\nThe next day comes, and Rose is asleep on his desk once again. \u0026nbsp;But this time, instead of papers and books, the things are cards. \u0026nbsp;Hudson wakes up first for once, looking over to Rose. \u0026nbsp;He sees all the cards, and sighs. \u0026nbsp;He gets out of bed, going to nudge Rose. \u0026nbsp;The rabbit slowly wakes up, groaning.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nHudson: Dude, you're putting way too much into this.\n\nRose: No, dude...you don't understand...\n\nHudson: But she's just a kid! \u0026nbsp;And a weird one at that...\n\nRose: She's not weird, she's....eclectic. \u0026nbsp;Besides, I know that I can make it with this deck...\n\nHudson: What's wrong with your old one, you've done well with it already.\n\nRose: There's two reasons. \u0026nbsp;The main one is I already know her deck. \u0026nbsp;I've seen her use those Evilswarms, and that Ophion of her's shuts my deck down to anything but useful. \u0026nbsp;I can't get out my fusions, and those Pandemic spells stop my only chances of getting rid of it. \u0026nbsp;This is a deck I've been planning out and collecting for some time now....I think it's time that I use it.\n\nHudson: Ok....what's the other reason?\n\nRose: That...is a secret.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose smiles as he puts the last card back into the deck, smiling as he slips it into his deck box. \u0026nbsp;He looks at the time, taking a deep breath.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Nearly time....you wanna come with?\n\nHudson: Meh, I got nothing better to do. \u0026nbsp;Damn game makes no sense anymore.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose chuckles, smiling as he gets his disk on. \u0026nbsp;The two of them head out to the same pathway again, where Shimmer was leaning against the same tree, this time with her disk around her arm.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: So you showed up.\n\nRose: Wouldn't miss this for the world.\n\nShimmer: Cheezy, let's get to it.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe two of them, along with Hudson, attach their D-Gazers, the area around them becoming the battlefield, as they both activate their Duel Disks. \u0026nbsp;Rose and Shimmer meet in the center, trading decks. \u0026nbsp;It's then that Rose notices something.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: You sure have a lot of cards in here....\n\nShimmer: Full 60.\n\nRose: Interesting.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThey shuffle and cut each other's decks, before returning them and going to their opposite sides. \u0026nbsp;They both draw their five, smiling\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose and Shimmer: DUEL!\n\nRose: I'll be a gentleman, and allow you to go first.\n\nShimmer: Whatever. \u0026nbsp;I activate my Field Spell, Madolche Chateau!\n\nRose: F-Field Spell?!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe field changes, as they were now in the courtyard of a massive cake and candy castle.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose; Wait, Madolche? \u0026nbsp;I thought that you used Evilswarms!\n\nShimmer: I have two decks. \u0026nbsp;Got a problem with that?\n\nRose: Not really...this just makes the duel even more exciting!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer chuckles, as she takes another card from her hand.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: Anyway, while Chateau is on the field, all my Madolche monsters gain 500 ATK. \u0026nbsp;I then activate my spell, Madolche Ticket. \u0026nbsp;Next, I summon out my Madolche Mewfeuille.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe spell appears on her field, then the cute kitty appears on its sweet puzzle piece.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: When Mewfeuille is summoned to the field, I can special summon another Madolche monster from my hand. \u0026nbsp;And I summon Madolche Baaple.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe cute sheep appears next to her other monster.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I now overlay my two monsters to Xyz summon Wind-Up Zenmaines!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe two monsters fly into the vortex, as the large toy comes out of it in Defense mode.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I set a card facedown and end my turn.\n\nRose: Wow, a great first turn!\n\nShimmer: Your move.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose smiles, drawing his card.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Alright...I set one monster in face-down defense position. \u0026nbsp;I then set two face-down cards and end my turn.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe cards appear on the field, Hudson flinching a bit.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nHudson: Dude, come on! \u0026nbsp;She's got something that powerful out!\n\nRose: I know, trust me.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer chuckles, smiling as she draws her card.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I'll end my turn.\n\nRose: Alright, I summon my Magical Exemplar to the field, in attack mode!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe woman appears on the field, 1700 attack points strong.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: I then activate Mystical Space Typhoon to destroy your facedown!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe whirlwind whips up, as her face-down Mirror Force was destroyed.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Yes!\n\nShimmer: Not bad.\n\nRose: Thanks. \u0026nbsp;Now Magical Exemplar's effect activates! \u0026nbsp;Whenever a spell is activated, I can add two spell counters to her!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nTwo small orbs light up around Magical Exemplar, floating next to her.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: That's all.\n\nShimmer: Alright....not bad. \u0026nbsp;I summon Cardcar D. \u0026nbsp;Then I use its effect, sacrificing it to draw two cards, then immediately end my turn.\n\nRose: My turn! \u0026nbsp;I now sacrifice the face-down monster on my field, and summon my Dark Magician Girl!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe monster appears on the field, the sexy mage smiling as she appears.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: Wow, now that brings back some nostalgia....\n\nRose: Just wait, there's more. \u0026nbsp;I now activate my spell card, Sage's Stone! \u0026nbsp;If I control a Dark Magician Girl, I can special summon her master from my hand or deck. \u0026nbsp;I now special summon Dark Magician!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe powerful mage appears on the field, as I smile. \u0026nbsp;Magical Exemplar gains two more spell counters, the orbs appearing around her.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: This should work....I activate my face-down card, Magic Formula! \u0026nbsp;I can equip this to a Dark Magician monster I control to give it 700 extra attack points. \u0026nbsp;I give it to my Dark Magician Girl!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe large book appears in front of her, as she begins to read, giving her the added attack points. \u0026nbsp;Yet again, Magical Exemplar gains spell counters, now at 6.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Alright, Dark Magician, Dark Magician girl, attack Wind-Up Zenmaines!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe two monsters attack, firing magical blasts.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I activate Zenmaines's effect. \u0026nbsp;By removing an Overlay Unit from it, I can negate it's destruction. \u0026nbsp;I use it twice!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nZenmaines absorbs a unit every time it uses its effect, glowing as it resists the blasts.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: I set one card facedown and end my turn.\n\nShimmer: Zenmaines now activates its second effect. \u0026nbsp;During the end phase that it uses its effect, I can destroy a card on the field. \u0026nbsp;I destroy Dark Magician Girl.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nZenmaines charges up a laser, firing it and destroying Dark Magician Girl.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Since Magic Formula went to the graveyard, I gain 1000 Life Points. \u0026nbsp;I then use Magical Exemplar's effect. \u0026nbsp;By removing Spell Counters from her, I can special summon a spellcaster-type monster whose level is equal to the number of counters removed from my hand or graveyard. \u0026nbsp;I remove all six and special summon Dark Magician Girl back to the field!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nMagical Exemplar absorbs the orbs into a sphere, as she throws it at an empty monster zone, a portal opening as Dark Magician Girl comes running out, back on the field. \u0026nbsp;At the same time, Rose's Life Points jump up to 9000.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: I end my turn.\n\nShimmer: Alright, I set two cards facedown and end my turn.\n\nHudson: Alright, Rose, you got her on the ropes!\n\nRose; Never assume anything when dueling, Hudson. \u0026nbsp;Especially against one like her. \u0026nbsp;I activate my face-down card, Magical Dimension! \u0026nbsp;I can only activate this spell card when I control a face-up Spellcaster. \u0026nbsp;I can tribute a spellcaster and special summon another one from my hand. \u0026nbsp;I tribute Magical Exemplar, to special summon a second Dark Magician!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nA giant magic sarcophagus appears on the field, as Magical Exemplar enters it. \u0026nbsp;Smoke flows out of it, as it opens up, revealing Dark Magician in her place.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nHudson: Two Dark Magicians? \u0026nbsp;Really?\n\nShimmer: Can't blame him, it's a classic.\n\nRose: And once the spell's pulled off, I can destroy a monster on the field, I destroy Wind-Up Zenmaines!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe smoke flows around Zenmaines, as it engulfes it, setting off an explosion. \u0026nbsp;When the smoke clears, Zenmaines is destroyed.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: Not bad.\n\nRose: Thanks. \u0026nbsp;Alright, I attack with everything!\n\nShimmer: But not enough. \u0026nbsp;I activate my face-down, Mirror Force!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShe's surrounded by a rainbow barrier, as the attacks are reflected, destroying all the spellcasters.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: N-No way.....\n\nShimmer: Nice try.\n\nRose: Tch.....I set a monster and set one card face-down.\n\nShimmer: My turn. \u0026nbsp;I summon Madolche Magileine.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe witch flies to the field, smiling.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: When she's successfully summoned, I can add a Madolche monster from my deck to my hand. \u0026nbsp;I add Madolche Chouxvalier. \u0026nbsp;Magileine, attack his face-down monster!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe witch fires a blast from her wand, the monster getting destroyed, a thin magician.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose; You destroyed my Magician's Apprentice. \u0026nbsp;When it's destroyed in battle, I can special summon a level 2 or lower monster from my deck in face down defense position. \u0026nbsp;I summon another Apprentice.\n\nShimmer: I end my turn.\n\nRose: As do I.\n\nShimmer: Running out of options? \u0026nbsp;Alright. \u0026nbsp;I summon Madolche Chouxvalier. \u0026nbsp;I then overlay my two monsters together, to Xyz summon Madolche Queen Tiaramisu.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe knight and witch become light as they enter the vortex. \u0026nbsp;The queen of cake appears on her throne, smiling.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I then activate her effect. \u0026nbsp;By removing an overlay unit, I can return two Madolche cards to my deck. \u0026nbsp;However, due to my Madolche Chateau's effect, I can return them to my hand instead. \u0026nbsp;I detach Chouxvalier to return it and Baaple into my hand.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nTiaramisu absorbs a unit into her scepter, as a giant mixing bowl appears, the two monster's cake pieces coming out of it as they appear, returning to Shimmer's hand.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: Once that's done, I return two cards you control to your deck. \u0026nbsp;I return your face-down Apprentice and your facedown card.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nTiaramisu then unleashes a wave of icing, causing the cards to be lifted and returned to Rose's deck as its shuffled.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: Now Ticket activates. \u0026nbsp;Once per turn, if a Madolche card is returned to the hand or deck, I can add a Madolche monster from my deck to my hand. \u0026nbsp;I choose Madolche Butlerusk. \u0026nbsp;Now, Tiaramisu, attack directly!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nTiaramisu swings her scepter, smacking Rose on the head. \u0026nbsp;Rose winces, grumbling as his Life Points drop down to 6300.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I set two cards face down and end my turn.\n\nRose: Damn it....not looking good. \u0026nbsp;I set a monster and three face down cards and end my turn....\n\nShimmer: Good move. \u0026nbsp;Now I'll have to get lucky with those annoying facedowns. \u0026nbsp;I use Tiaramisu's effect, returning your monster and the left face down to your deck, while bringing Mewfeuile and Magileine to my hand.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose grimaces as the wave takes the cards out.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: Seems I chose right. \u0026nbsp;I summon Madolche Mewfeuille, then special summon Madolche Mageleine. \u0026nbsp;Everyone, attack!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose groans, as he's taken down to 900 Life Points.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I set another card face-down, and end my turn.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose had been blasted back from the attack, laying on the ground.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: You have no cards in your hand, and two useless face-downs. \u0026nbsp;Just surrender and we can get this over with.\n\nRose: ....no.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose grunts, slowly getting up, panting.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: What? \u0026nbsp;Come on, this is pointless. \u0026nbsp;You're obviously not at my level, so why keep going if you know you're going to lose?\n\nRose: Because. \u0026nbsp;No matter how bad the situation, I never give up before the last card is played. \u0026nbsp;I will do whatever I can, all for you. \u0026nbsp;Shimmer, I love you, and I'll do anything to go out with you. \u0026nbsp;And it starts....\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose puts his hand on his deck, gripping the first card.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: With THIS!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose draws, looking at the card, smiling.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Perfect. \u0026nbsp;Here goes, I activate my face-down card, Birthright! \u0026nbsp;When this card is activated, I can special summon a normal monster from my graveyard in attack mode. \u0026nbsp;I special summon my Dark Magician!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nDark Magician comes back to the field, posing.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: He's not strong enough to take down my Queen.\n\nRose: Don't think I'm done just yet. \u0026nbsp;I activate my second face-down, ANOTHER Birthright, bringing back my second Dark Magician!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe two mages are on the field, as Rose smiles.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: I now overlay my two mages!\n\nHudson: A rank 7 Xyz summon?! \u0026nbsp;What the heck could it be?\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe mages become their purple orbs, going into the vortex.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: I Xyz summon, Dark Magician of Illusions!\n\nHudson: Another Dark Magician, of course.....\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe new, more powerful mage comes out, still at the same strength as a normal Dark Magician.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: Odd choice....\n\nRose: I'm not done yet. \u0026nbsp;I now activate his effect! \u0026nbsp;By removing an overlay unit, I can special summon a normal spellcaster-type monster from my hand or deck! \u0026nbsp;And there's only one left in it. \u0026nbsp;I special summon....\n\nHudson: Don't tell me...\n\nRose: My THIRD Dark Magician!\n\nHudson: You gotta be fucking kidding me!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose chuckles, as the original mage appears next to its evolved form.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: You must have a fetish for those things.\n\nRose: Nah, just nostalgia. \u0026nbsp;Now, I activate my spell card, Thousand Knives! \u0026nbsp;While Dark Magician is on my field, I can destroy any monster on the field. \u0026nbsp;I destroy Tiaramisu!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe thousand knives form around Dark Magician, as they fly at Tiaramisu, destroying her.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Now, Dark Magician, attack Madolche Mewfeuille! \u0026nbsp;Dark Magician of Illusion's effect activates, allowing me to banish a monster once per turn, when a normal spellcaster-type monster attacks. \u0026nbsp;I banish Magileine!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAs Dark Magician attacks, Dark Magician of Illusions opens a portal beneath magiliene, as it sucks her in. \u0026nbsp;Dark Magician's attack hits Mewfeuille, taking Shimmer down to 6500 Life Points.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Dark Magician of Illusions, direct attack!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe mage fires an attack at her, making Shimmer grunt as she's hit full-force, dropping her life points to 4000.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: This is the power of my will...of my love.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer flips back up, smiling.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: Very, very impressive....unfortunately, it's over.\n\nRose: You have no monsters out, there's no way you can block my monsters.\n\nShimmer: Who said anything about blocking? \u0026nbsp;My draw.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer draws, smiling.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I activate my face-down card, Madolchepalooza!\n\nRose: Madolchepa-what?\n\nShimmer: In other words, your end. \u0026nbsp;When I activate this card, I can special summon as many Madolche monsters from my hand to the field as I can. \u0026nbsp;However, they are returned to my deck at the end phase.\n\nRose: Wait....don't tell me....\n\nShimmer: I now special summon 5 monsters! \u0026nbsp;I special summon Madolche Baaple, Chouxvalier, Butlerusk, Hootcake, and Angelly!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe five monsters appear, Rose sighing.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nRose: Ok...I was expecting something that would be able to destroy my monsters.\n\nShimmer: Again, I never said I was destroying them. \u0026nbsp;Time for a combo of my own. \u0026nbsp;I first overlay Butlerusk and Chouxvalier to Xyz summon another Tiaramisu!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe two monsters enter the vortex, the queen appearing.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I then overlay Hootcake and Baaple to summon M-X-Saber Invoker!\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nThe two monsters combine, bringing the warrior to the field.\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nShimmer: I use his effect. \u0026nbsp;By removing an overlay unit, I can special summon a level 4 EARTH warrior or beast-warrior type monster to the field. \u0026nbsp;I'll go
