Who doesn't love unicorn's right? I thought I would make a poem about one! This poem will be included in a fantasy themed poetry book that I'm planning/currently writing. I won't be uploading every poem I plan to put in the book, but I will be adding some of them as a preview of sorts. Some of the poems that I've already done about dragons will be included as well.","content":"* * *\n\nBehold the mighty unicorn fair.  \nWith hooves of iron and a  \nmane of hair.\n\nLook into its gentle eyes.  \nA gaze that that pierces  \nthrough the most well  \nwoven of lies.\n\nApproach the mighty stallion  \nif you believe you have the heart.  \nBe kind and pure and perhaps   \nsome knowledge it will impart.\n\nBehold the fierce spirit of the  \nforest. For it runs like the wind  \nand fights like the fiercest of lions.\n\nIt's dazzling horn can rid the darkest  \nwaters of poison and the make the  \nmost foul of sicknesses flee with  \nbut a glance.\n\nIt carries the wisdom of centuries  \nand the cunning of a serpent.\n\nThe guardian of the forest who  \nnever falters and never ages.  \nSo many have had it within their  \nsights. Only to come away sounding  \nas nothing but fools and charlatans.\n\nNothing can trap a unicorn.   \nNot even the purest and most  \ngentle of heart.\n\nFor the unicorn knows that while  \nthey may never wish it harm, the  \nrest of mankind is not so innocent.\n\nThere is but one way to trap a   \nunicorn. To rid it of it's power  \nand take its mighty horn away.\n\nYou must trap them in their  \nown cunning and use their  \ngreat and merciful hearts  \nagainst them.\n\nFor unlike the tales men  \nspin unicorns can resist  \nall temptation. All temptation  \nbut one.\n\nA unicorn no matter how   \nstrong, how old, or how   \nwise will never leave a man  \nto die.\n\nNo matter how wicked, how  \nevil, or how greedy he might  \none day become.\n\nA unicorn may never allow itself  \nto be bound by chains or held  \nbehind walls but it also will never  \nfail to use its power to help restore  \nthe life of another.\n\nAnd in giving up their power  \nfor the life of mortal man.\n\nThe purest spirit of the earth  \nrisks becoming the darkest of  \nnightmares.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Poems","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/708172-variant.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/715613-twisted-purity.json"}}
