You weren't joking!"
He just nodded, cradling his modified pulse rifle in the crook of his arm.
Lucky we had put on our helmets, otherwise the stench would have been unbearable
With a small giggle, I noticed that Mitch's was in the form of a skull.
We were on a passageway, in what was most likely a docking bay. There were towering pillars of some organic substance, reaching from floor to ceiling.
I heard an un-earthly screech, and went to draw my swords, only to find that they weren't there.
"Shit!" I said to myself, as I searched around me.
I saw them lying a couple of metres away, still in their scabbards, and rushed towards them.
I bent down and picked them up.
Then, I felt hot breath on the back of my neck.
I slowly drew one of my swords out, and turned suddenly, slashing downwards.
The necromorph behind me lost two limbs, three if you include the head, and went down.
I turned back, and started to walk over to the group, when something grabbed my leg.
I looked down, and sure enough, it was the remains of the necromorph, and it wasn't letting go.
I let out a yell, and slashed off its remaining limbs.
I shuddered, and ran the rest of the way.

"So, this is the Ishimura?" Krystal asked.
"Otherwise known as the Gateway to Hell," Eifie added.
"I thought that station on Mars, from Doom 1, 2 and 3, was the Gateway to Hell?" I replied.
Another blood-curdling screech filled the air, ending the idle gamer chit-chat.
"Come on," Mitch said, leading us to a door set at the end of the gangway.
He tried to open the door, but it wouldn't budge.
"Hmm," he said.
"You need help?"
We all turned around, startled, and found ourselves face-to-face with one Isaac Clarke.
"It probably won't open because there's a vacuum behind that door. I'd try bypassing the auto-lock and going straight for the manual release,"
We nodded, glad that we had though to bring helmets.
I opened the control panel of the door and started to hotwire it.
In less than two seconds, the flickering, red lock light changed to a white, unlocked light.
With my swords still securely in my hands, I opened the door, exposing the hangar to the vacuum.
We stepped out into a demolished corridor, which was open to space, and were promptly ambushed by another necromorph, this time, behind us. Before any of us could do more than flinch, Isaac had shot off all its limbs with a plasma cutter.
"Motherfucker," I heard Eifie breathe into our personal intercom, and personally, I agreed with the sentiment.

We made our way through the corridor, finally reaching a pressurized area, and sat down, so we could plan what the hell we were doing here.
With a sigh of relief, I took off the helmet, and I head a sharp intake of breath from Isaac.
I gave him a curious glance, and proceeded to sling my swords across my back, so I could get to them at a moments notice.
I then saw that Isaac was pointing his plasma cutter at me.
I shrugged.
"Like that'll hurt me," I commented.
"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" Mitch exclaimed, taking off his helmet as well.
Isaac swung his weapon round to Mitch, who went unusually quiet, and started to slowly raise his pulse rifle.
I saw what Mitch was looking at, and almost gave a shriek of fear.
"Isaac, if you wanna live, I suggest you duck down," Mitch warned, "Now,"
Isaac finally got the hint, and instead of ducking down, he rolled forwards, spinning around to find yet another necromorph trying to sneak up behind him. They both let off a ferocious barrage of ammo, as the thing, for lack of a better word, convulsed as the rounds hit limbs, blasting them off.
When they finally both ran out of ammo, they looked at each other, and gave a small chuckle. With that, Isaac took off his helmet, surprising us, because he was a human. Both Krystal and Eifie took the hint, and took off their helmets as well. If there was one thing wierder in Isaac's life than finding himself on a ship overrun with necromorphs, in a room full of anthros, he had yet to find it.

"I assume you speak english, then?" he asked.
"Yes, I would assume so," I replied, acidly.
He gave me an apologetic smile.
"Sorry for that, uh, misunderstanding before. I don't see many, umm, anthros, if you catch my drift, and you sorta startled me,"
"Meh, it wouldn't have done anything anyways,"
He looked at me, confused.
"What, a plasma slug wouldn't have at the very least hurt?"
"Not really," I said.
He looked skeptically at me.
"Fine!" I said, hotly, "You want proof? Follow me!"
I motioned to the door, leaving my helmet on the ground, and walked towards it.
"Wh-what are you doing?"
I didn't say anything, and I pressed the airlock switch, opening it.
He glanced around nervously.
"Uh, hello? Crazy anthro vixen attempting to commit suicide here!"
The tendons on my neck tightened as he insulted me.
Mitch looked up from his discussion with Eifie and Krystal.
"If I were you, I'd stop trying to get on Chloe's nerves," he cautioned, "That's suicide,"
The airlock door closed, and vented the air out into space.
I waved at the amazed Isaac through the window, then repressurised the airlock, stepping triumphantly back into the room.
"What the fuck?" he swore.
"Oi, Mitch, I thought I saw something out there, we'd better get moving,"
He nodded, donning his helmet again, and everyone else did the same, and we left the (relative) safety of the room.

"So, any ideas on what we're looking for?" I asked him as we walked down yet another creepy corridor.
"Not the slightest,"
I sighed.
"But, I know what we're looking for," he continued.
"That's basically the same thing," I pouted.
"What's you're point?" he replied impishly.
I groaned, and returned my attention to making sure we weren't followed.
Mitch led us into the very depths of the Ishimura, through hordes of necromorphs, until we reached the singularity core in the engine room.
"What, that's what's causing these problems?"
He shook his head, and pointed up, above the core.
I followed his finger, and took a sharp intake of breath.
There was a massive necromorph, easily the size of the engine room, and then some, on the roof. I then noticed tiny tendrils tapping into the core.
"Motherfucker!" I exclaimed, "How're we going to get rid of that thing?"
Isaac took a closer look at the tendrils tapping into the core, careful to not get too close.
"There's no way to remove it. If what you say is true, then the only way to stop it is to activate the ship self-destruct sequence,"
He shrugged
"Not much of a loss anyway," he added.
"Where can you do it from?"
"Umm, the bridge,"
"Do you have a way to escape?"
"Yeah, there's a shuttle down at the executive lounge,"
I stopped listening, and concentrated on the group, and we found ourselves on the bridge.
"Ok," Isaac said, "That was just creepy!"
He took a moment to gather his bearings, then walked over to the main bridge controls, and entered a complex code.
Suddenly, loud wailing klaxons started to rotate, bathing everything in a red light.
"I'll buy you enough time to escape, then I'll try to get to the shuttle," Isaac said.
"Chloe?" Mitch asked.
I nodded, and concentrated on Isaac.
Then we were both in the executive shuttle bay.
"Oh, yeah, I forgot about that,"
"Thank you. For everything," I said.
I gave him a quick kiss on the cheek, then teleported myself back to the group,
What I found horrified me.
It was a literal blood bath, with blood and limbs splayed everywhere.
Then, I blinked, and it was all gone.
I saw Mitch, Eifie and Krystal a couple of yards away, looking at me curiously, and I rushed back over to them.
I then opened a portal, and took us back home.
Or what was left of it...

 \\* \\* \\* \\* \\* \\*

Hey all!
