# TSFP, Vol-2, Prologue

#17 of Text - "The Sacrifice for Peace" Trilogy

Here's the Prologue...yeah, I know it's short, but...chapter one is posted, too. :)

 **Prologue**

 

Taking the journey to the ancient Heart of The Great Forest would indeed prove to be difficult for more than one reason, though the trip there and back did not take as many days as it could have. Mashera proved to be a capable guide, though through my own changing awareness, I learned (with a little help from Mashera) that I could sense The Heart...and knew that it could also sense _me_.

 

Upon returning home, however, we quickly learned of other events that took place during our absence that filled us with sorrow. The Great Circle turns, and as some paths would end, others would begin. The bitter-sweetness of a hard-earned victory will long be remembered in both song and lore for generations to come.
