{"sf1_id":726740,"sf2_id":"dmWrpWLe","title":"Camping","author":"Arobynn","words":406,"posted_at":"2014-07-06T18:17:00.000Z","tags":["Camping","Hitchiking","uncertainty"],"url":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/726740-camping","original_url":"https://sofurry.com/s/dmWrpWLe","image_url":"https://www.sofurryfiles.com/std/thumb?page=726740\u0026ext=.jpg","description":"#5 of Lyrics and writings.\n\nA rather long poem.","content":"We had passed the last town until we meet the border\n\nWe were both sharing the wheel\n\nI stared blankly out the window at everything out of order\n\nShe had on the thing a grip of steel\n\nWe passed someone with a map, a lovely old chap\n\nHe gave us the directions that we need\n\nAnd so we chugged along, on the radio was a song\n\nThat reminded me \"This is quite a big deal\"\n\nWe passed by a diner and I asked if she was hungry\n\nwe both stepped out and smiled\n\nAnd walked together in silence to the ever glowing diner\n\nBut just then, it felt like solitary confinement\n\nShe was so close but yet so far away\n\nHow could I ever let her know?\n\nI ordered the food and sat down in a mood\n\nAnd she never noticed a thing\n\nShe sat and began to lean over her smartphone screen\n\nTexting and giggling at some joke\n\n\"On second thoughts\" I think as I wait for the meal\n\n\"I'd rather like to meet this bloke.\"\n\nI cough and she looks up, all uncertainty\n\n\"Are you okay, is there something in your throat?\"\n\nI say that I'm fine but inside I'm lying\n\nI'm sinking like a punctured rowing boat\n\nLater after supper we find a hotel\n\nRun by two rather eccentric brothers\n\nthey gave us our keys and wished us well\n\nAnd we went up, one floor to another\n\nWe eventually found our room, number two eighteen\n\nThe lights were on and the bed was made\n\nWe pulled the curtains across and we thought the same thing\n\nPerhaps just in different ways\n\n\"Wait\" I exclaim as I rack my brain\n\ntrying to find a way to escape\n\n\"I'm not really in the mood, it must have been the food\"\n\nAnd she lays back away from me\n\nWith tears in her eyes no longer is her smile\n\nTracing lust across her lips\n\nNow there is a flat line of anger and confusion\n\nAnd me wondering how to get out of this\n\n\"I'm not who you want, I know who you need\n\nPlease stop using me.\n\nI know who he is and I know where you stand\n\nAs soon as we passed cassino grande\"\n\nI walk straight out with the ghost of a smile\n\nFlickering across me as I'm dying\n\nI walk well over more than a few miles\n\nBack to where I first lost my mind.\n\n  \n  \n\n","series":{"name":"Lyrics and writings.","previous":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/726633-how-to-love-me.json","next":"https://fse.anthro.fr/stories/790788-how-to-beat-anxiety.json"}}
