My attempt at a sad and eerie feel. How'd I do?

 **_The summer breeze blows cooler_**

**_The heated days she's known
Tumble slowly to the past
As she remains alone

She ponders as she freezes
Her limbs are growing numb
The silent games that steal her time
As she waits for death to come

Her mind is ever dormant
Her feelings put to rest
She scolds herself for finding
Small rays of hope well from her chest

She'd built herself a castle
The walls formed upon love
The rooms were made with trusting words
As the roof hovered above

She lived inside this castle
Nestled safely in its walls
The warmth of joy surrounding her
But soon, her home would fall

Her happiness was taken
The earth began to rumble
She stood aside and watched in tears
As the castle began to crumble

She has no home of happiness
No castle in the sky
The misery tugs at her soul
Willing her to die

She sat slowly down in silence
As her soul was swept away
The pile of her former home
Decaying where it lay

So if ever you feel lonely
Or your heart is filled with fright
If you close your eyes and listen
You may hear her cry at night_**
