Wish me luck! =D","content":"Wolves of Summer\n\n\u0026nbsp;\n\nAt the first light of dawn, the air spoke her name. The first day of summer, late June once again.\n\nI traveled the old path, marched sure along the stream, long have I waited this sight to be seen.\n\nPlaced at her feet, a flowering rose, her fur ever soft with eyes in repose.\n\nMy heart filled with joy, my soul could have sung. By the gods what a beauty she had truly become.\n\nHer eyes drew to me, a smile and a glance. I was sorry immediately I wasn't wearing pants.\n\nShe smiled and chuckled in her own little way; in a whisk of her tail she stole me away.\n\nThrough the forest we rushed, verdant waves whisking by, our laughter did echo under warm summer skies.\n\nWe spoke of our adventures in the bitter winter cold, tales of hardship and times to behold.\n\nOur den we did scout, a respite from the heat. A shield from the rain, and a rest for our seat.\n\nThe nights ours to share, our meals we did hunt. Impressing her more with my own little stunts.\n\nThe days were adrift to the sea in her eyes, I swore to myself never once let them cry.\n\nWrapped in my paws, my warmth hers to bask. Every moment a lifetime I prayed it to last.\n\nSoon I would know the touch of her lips, the feel of her body and the press of her hips.\n\nOur love we embraced, in the sun and the moon, my seed budding pups that swelled in her womb.\n\nI swore to protect her, the guardian so stoic. From predator and prey, I fought so heroic.\n\nTill at last as the days fell away one by one. The soft yip of pups arrived with the sun.\n\nWithin weeks they were walking, steady and well. So full of pride, my heart it did swell.\n\nBut summer was fading, the trees falling ill. Green turned to orange, and the nights brought a chill.\n\nShe would have to go soon, her family would call. For alas our day's end, at the first weeks of fall.\n\nArriving at the stream, our last kiss goodbye. The puppies would whimper, and then start to cry.\n\nA loving embrace for each one did I give, but warmth filled my heart, knowing each one would live.\n\nHer family strong, protectors in winter. It gave me the strength to stifle my whimper.\n\nWatching them fade to the trees one by one, our summer was over, our journey was done.\n\nBut the warmth they did give me, it filled me with strength. To endure any winter, regardless of length.\n\nFor there is always next summer to travel the stream, in search of a sight, longed to be seen.\n\n  \n  \n\n"}
