While it was true that I was a fan of the saying that truth\nwas stranger than fiction,  I never would\nhave guessed that fiction, in this case, was based off of truth. Some things\nwere better left undiscovered. I was soon in over my head.\n                Maggie\nknew what she was talking about when it came to the adoption process. Like I\nhad mentioned before, she wasn't any trouble to any of her foster parents. She\nwas just quiet and morose and generally unenthusiastic in her surroundings. Funny\nthat such a quiet child could prove to be so problematic. After filing all of\nthe paperwork and going through the court system, she went from being Maggie\nMcGill to being Maggie Peterson.\nI figured that if I was going to be\ndealing with her, I deserved to know a little more about what had happened to\nher. She smiled with a wicked grin, showing those sharp canines again. It was\nalways so unsettling. \"Well Mr. Peterson, my mother was a werewolf. Getting\ninfected from one can happen in more ways than one. A mother can pass it to\nchild, as happened with me. Father, he was a kind man, totally unaware of the\nnature of his wife. She had always been very careful about staying out of the\nmoonlight. She loved father very much.\"\n                I was\nbeginning to see where this was going. It sounded like the plot to a \"B\" movie\nfrom the seventies.  \n                \"It\nhappened innocently enough. I came down with a fever. Mother had a feeling that\nit was the transformation trying to take a hold. She stayed with me that\nevening, allowing him to get some sleep. She took up a post in the chair in the\ncorner, while I slept restlessly on the bed. About three in the morning the\nclouds parted, and the change took over.\" \n                \"I\nchanged, but being still asleep, I had no knowledge of this. Father came in at\nthat moment, saw me and yelled in fear. Mother, confused and alarmed, rushed to\nmy side, and into the moonlight. The effects of Great Luna hit her as well.\nFather went out of his mind.\"\n                She\nstopped to look into my eyes. \"What he saw was nothing a sane, intelligent man\ncould come to grips with. Mother wasn't used to trying to communicate in words,\nnot in that form. Everything she tried to say came out as snarls and growls. Of\ncourse, she was standing over me, and father simply went off the deep end\ntrying to grasp the nature of his sudden madness.\"\n                \"Mother\nran out to get him, to calm him down. He would have none of it. In the end, he\npicked up his grandfather's walking cane, and old antique made of solid wood\nand topped with pure Sterling Silver. Anything else would have done no harm to\nher, not even a gun. But silver; well you know the stories. Silver does in a\nwerewolf. Oh, we can touch it, though we dislike too in feral form. But break\nthe skin and it catalyzes our body into our human form.\"\n                \"So you\nsee, when the police got there, mother was dead, lying in a pool of blood,\nlooking every bit as human as you or; well you anyway. Father was babbling and\nI was gone. I didn't appear until the sun came up, for I was frightened and\nconfused. Of course, I remembered most of what happened once I woke up, and I\nguess I don't blame father for what he did. They trucked him off to the insane\nasylum and buried mother, leaving me to float from home to home.\"\n                I\nsighed. \"That's quite the story. I'd call you a liar if I hadn't looked up the\nreports already. The murder weapon was, as you say, an antique cane.\"\n                She\nlicked her lips, a habit that always made me nervous. \"So, you decided to look\nfor yourself? Good. I'd hate to think that I was shacking up with a fool.\"\n                I\ncringed at her tone. \"We are not shacking up. This is a formal adoption!\"\n                \"Yep.\nAnd once it's complete, you and I will be linked as father and daughter.\"\n                \"Adoptive\nfather,\" I corrected. \n                She\ngiggled; a normal girl sort of giggle. That made it all the worse.\n\"Technicalities. When we do it, it'll still be considered incest.\"\n                \"We\nwill do no such thing!\"\n                The\nedges of her mouth dropped a little. She held up her hand. I could see the\nnails quivering to extend and turn black. \"Father, for that's what you are to\nme now; I will tell you this. My body has a lot of needs, and blood and flesh\nis only one of them. I know what you think of this small helpless looking form,\nbut don't be fooled. I have matured a lot in the past few years. I am not a\nweak little virgin girl, quivering in a corner at the approach of some demonic\nrapist. I am the rapist, and I am a demon. You would do well to remember that.\nI have nothing against you; but by the full moon, if I have to I'll deal with\nyou like I have everyone else that I have found wanting.\"\n                I shook\nmy head to clear it. Her words were much too refined and forceful to be coming\nout of her mouth. Apparently the virus, or gene, or whatever caused this mutation\nenhanced her intelligence as well as her body. It would make home schooling a\nlot easier. I intended to keep her out of the school system. The last thing I\nwanted to do was having her go berserk on some half-witted kid at school.\n                \"I\ndon't like to be threatened. Besides, what would I do; go running to the\npolice? They would think I was mad too. They would come to my house and find a\nquiet little girl, harmlessly watching television and they would take me away\ntoo.\"\n                \"Television?\nMaybe. I'll really need the internet. I intend to track down more of my kind.\nMother and I couldn't have been the last. So, in the meantime, I'd suggest you\nsuck it up and deal with it. I'm not so bad most of the time. Just don't get in\nmy way when I'm hungry. \"\n                That\nseemed to settle matters. I was still nervous around her, but after that day,\nshe made few references to her alter ego. It was only a few weeks later, when\nshe was reading through the local newspaper, that she got that look in her\neyes. The hairs on the back of my head stood up.\n                \"What is\nit?\"\n                She\ngrinned. \"Food! Apparently, there's another rapist on the loose. Those guys are\nso eager for getting apiece that they get sloppy. Like the last guy. He was\nsloppy.\"\n                I knew\nbetter than to argue. She hadn't eaten much in weeks, just some raw beef and\ncurdled blood I had managed to get from a slaughter house. Beef Tartar I could\nhandle, but the blood was disgusting. I was certain she was famished.\n                She got\ndressed in a cute little skirt, a flowery top, white shoes and little else. She\ndidn't have a name or description for this guy, nor did it matter to her She\nwould choose anyone who attacked a child, deeming them as worthy of dying. I said\nlittle about her decision and stayed home, leaving the police scanner on. After\nhours of nothing more than calls about domestics and car accidents, I went to\nbed. I know I sound like a lousy parent, but I wasn't going to interfere with\nher hunt. I was still sane enough to know better.\n                The\nstring of murders, if you can call them that, had baffled police for over a\nyear now. Initially, there was no tie between them, for some of the bodies had\nbeen found in the dark woods and railways. After having lain out for days or\nweeks, evidence of how they were killed vanished with the scavengers and the\nbeetles.\n                Robert\nMurdock's body lay there for several weeks before the crows coming and going\ninto the building was remarked upon and investigated. By then, most of his\nflesh had been stripped away. Cause of death was declared to be\nundetermined.  Somewhere out there in the\ndark, another fellow was going to be adding his to the count. \n                It\nmight interest you to know that a werewolf, or maybe I should say the person\nbecoming the werewolf, can control the change. They are limited to what they\ncan do in sunlight, less so if they are inside during the day and fully capable\nat night, even without a full moon. But the closer the days get  to displaying a full moon, the more the\ncreature can change at will. On a full moon, you don't want to be anywhere near\nthem if you happen to be on their bad side. They can smell blood, flesh and\nfear. \n                I tried to stay awake of course.\nI had to keep track of her, now that she was my responsibility. That was a\njoke. I might as well be asked to contain the sun in my pocket. She was her own\nperson, and she had her own morals. Church and god were foreign to her. She\nworshiped the moon if she worshipped anything, and her god was blood and\nviolence. What I did hardly mattered outside of it being a weak show of\ndedication to her existence. \n                It was\nvery early that morning when I woke to find her hovering over me. Not\nlevitating like a ghost, just sitting on top of me looking into my face. It was\nher human face, that of a normal little girl's, but it was splattered in red.\n\"I'm home father!\" she said joyously. \n                She\nsmelled of blood and worse. \"I see that. I guess I don't need to ask how it\nwent.\"\n                She got\nup and danced on the bed. \"It was wonderful. He was so easy to find. Oh, he was\na stupid one, waiting in the same place as he did before. I could smell him\nfrom a hundred yards. Unwashed, sweating, stinking pig! He was watching some\nlady and I just walked right past him and towards the park. I could hear him\nfollowing me, so I turned down the darkest section where the trees meet the\ncreek.\"\n                I was\nwatching her raptly. She had my undivided attention because she wasn't wearing\nher clothing. It was a sin to think the thoughts I was thinking, and I did my\nbest to tuck them away That didn't keep the sheets from rising a little at my\nmidsection. \n                \"I let\nhim catch me of course, but I ruined the whole thing. He was going to rape me,\nI was sure of that, but I was hungry. Too hungry I guess.\" She sighed.\n                \"I\nchanged too soon. The poor fellow freaked out. I was hoping the dark would\ncover my mistake, but there was a faint light coming from the park. For all I\nknow he thought that he was suffering a delusion and about to molest a dog.\nI've never gotten to that point before. It hardly matters. I had to pounce on\nhim and rip out his throat\"\n                \"I\nlapped his blood and ate of his flesh. Now he sits under the trees, covered in\ndirt and leaves. Maybe he'll enjoy the carrion beetles as they scamper in and\nout of his holes, as they carry him away, one tiny bit at a time.\"\n                I\ngulped a few times. \"I'm glad you found him. Now it's time for bed?\" It was a\nquestion. I wasn't about to tell her what she could or couldn't do.\n                She\ndanced and danced, giggling with glee. \"I just couldn't go to bed right now.\nI'm all excited and too worked up to sleep!\"\n                Then\nshe stopped dancing. \"I didn't get everything I needed tonight Mr.\nPeterson.  I'm afraid that your services\nwill be required; else I might get a little crazy. Blood lust is all well and\ngood, but I need to fill the old fashioned kind now and again too.\"\n                I knew\nall too well what she meant. We had talked about this, and while I had promised\nto handle this duty if the need arose, I was now feeling less intrepid about my\ndecision. I was an upstanding member of society, not taken to pedophilia. \n                I repeated\nthat assertion to her in hopes of getting out from doing this thing. She smiled\nin a way that told me I was about to be in so much trouble.\n                \"Bill.\nCan I can you Bill? Or I can keep calling you father if you'd prefer. I respect\nyour decisions and your beliefs. But I have needs. And someone needs to fill\nthem. Since you have a problem with my human age, I suppose I must respect\nthat. And since you haven't made any comments or reservations about bestiality,\nI guess we'll have to do this as human and werewolf. \"\n                Before\nI could open my mouth, she began shifting to that terrifying form. Her ears\nelongated, as did her face. Her claws came out, her hair sprouted, her limbs\ndeformed and in moments she was a small, but nonetheless frightening apparition.  She was still able to talk, but it was hard\nto understand and she spoke in short bursts.\n                \"Get\nup!\" she growled.\n                I\nvacated the bed faster than the mind could comprehend. Sadly, she wanted me\nback on it a second later.\n                She\nsettled in the middle, front down and butt up, almost like a puppy ready to\nplay. I found that my previous reservations about lying with a young girl were\nnothing compared to mounting an animal.  Somewhere down the line, that message didn't\nmake it to my private parts. They were stirring at the sight of her\nwillingness. I couldn't seem to convince myself \nthat not only that it was a forbidden thing, but that it was doubly and\ntriply damning. But I guess that in the back of my brain I had worked it out.\n                As an\nanimal, she was \"old\" enough, and if she was willing, why would I not go\nthrough with it? It wasn't like anyone could ever catch us. She would change\nback into a girl and no one would be the wiser. I did have my religious\nbackground, but that was flying out the window faster than a cheetah in a dead\nrun. It was hard to think about telling my sins to a priest who probably had committed\nbuggery on an alter boy.\n                I\ndropped my boxers, embarrassed that my erection was already solid and throbbing.\nI got behind her and positioned myself. I was unsure how to proceed. Not in the\nmatter of sex, for I had some experience with that. It was the idea of doing it\nwith something that could tear me to pieces should it choose to. I hardly knew\nwhat to do or how to do it properly.\n                Her\nwagging tail and backside showed she wanted it. It was odd, knowing one thing\nand seeing another. She looked cute, like a happy dog, yet she was something\ndark and terrifying. Throwing caution to the wind, I grabbed her tail and got\nus close together. I used one hand to guide myself inside her. I was expecting\na lot more resistance. I knew so little of anatomy, particularly reproductive\nthings about canines, knots and breeding. She was big enough to handle what I\nhad to give and then some, regardless of her physical age. She was presently\nthe size of a large dog, like a Siberian. Or perhaps I should say...  like a wolf.\n                I\nfigured I'd regret my decision to do this. I was correct. Once I was in I never\nwanted to leave. I was hooked. All those years of being an upright and\nrespectable man were flushed down the drain like old dishwater. A tiny spark of\nprimal fire lit inside me, something simple religion had never, ever been able\nto do. \n                That\nfire was soon raging in my loins. I was getting braver, hooking my fingers into\nthe fur on her haunches. She never once flinched. In fact, the rougher I got\nthe more she seemed to like it. Thinking back, I remembered that she seemed to\nlike the rapes she had endured as preludes to her feedings. I doubted I could\ndo anything that terrible, so I let myself relax to do what I wanted.\n                As I\nworked her over, she let out little yips and growls. Her back feet worked the\nsheets like a cat's when you rub that spot at the base of the tail when they're\nin heat. I was really getting into this. I began humping her with some speed,\ndriving myself into her with more and more force. It helped that I hadn't blown\na decent wad in a couple of years. Now it was ready to pour out all at once.\n                I sunk\nmy finger nails into her legs in a painfully tight grip, and proceeded to\njackhammer her for the next five to six minutes. When I felt the rise in my\nballs bubble upwards, I nearly pulled her hips out of joint with my slamming.\nHer growling rose in volume until she broke into a howl. She stiffened up as I\nbroke loose inside her. Her tail went straight up in the air with every hair on\nit erect like they were caught in a static electricity field.\n                I added\nmy own version of a growl to hers as I felt the painful flow pass out of my\nbody and into hers. I was becoming a beast personified, doing what I was doing.\nBut if this was wrong, I never wanted to know what right really was. As I\nfinished, I nearly fell forward. Only her stiffly held body kept me from\ncollapsing forward. Even her tail was as rigid as a board.\n                I\ncollected my senses and leaned back until I was teetering upright, reeling from\nthe best sex I had ever had. I was still inside her, and while I was tempted to\ntry again, she changed my mind by reverting back to her human self. I pulled\nout and dropped to the mattress. She immediately curled up next to me,\nliterally purring like a cat. Apparently I had done well.\n                I knew\nthat moment that my life was going to be totally different from where I had\nenvisioned it going just a month before. I now had stirrings that should never\nhave risen to the surface, and I had desires that were dark and primal. My\nprevious days now seemed distant and drab. I was finally finding out what it\nmeant to be alive. And I found that I liked it.\n"}
