Their mission was to recapture the city from the invading enemy\nwho was slowly taking over the Kingdom of Tavrinth, and so we join our warrior as\nhe receives his orders.\n                \"Squad\n7 report in\" yelled a large canine looking commander as he looked over the\nmaps and battle plans trying to find any holes that may be exploited. While he\nyelled out six foot robot looking canine raised up arms stretching out some as\nhe headed over to receive his orders. His head suddenly peeling back revealing\nthat it was only a sliding helmet, and revealing to all the black fur, red\neyed, canine that was inside the giant lump of metal.\n                While\nthe commander looked over his order, the wolf slowly approached with the\nclanking of metal as he made his way over. \"Sir Squad seven, squad leader\nreporting\" his ears twitching as he waited for a response. \"Ahhh\nDarelan good to see you again, you know I hate being spoken to formally by my\nfavorite personal\" the commander said as he made a couple marks on the\nmap. \"Yes sir I know but our squad has some new rookies, and they still\nneed to learn respect.\" Replied Darelan while he lean over and  glanced at the maps and then asking \"So\nwhat is our part into day's operations or will it be the normal night raid\nagain to try and slim them down some more?\" \"Well tell me, is your\nsquad's power suits fully powered up or are ya still in need of charging?\"\nthe commander questioned as he looked up towards Darelan. Chuckling Darelan\nshook his head quickly saying \"Sir we are fully charged and ready to jump\nin the middle of hell if you like.\"\n                The\ncommander scratched his ear a little sighing softly before saying \"Hmmm\nwell then I guess today your squad is going to earn their pay. I want you and\nSquad 7 to hit the middle, I know it sounds crazy but with your suits you\nshould be able to appear like six squads and that's what we need while our demo\ncrews sneak around the sides and destroy the shield generators. After that we\ncan then do some precision bombing and finish off their artillery crews.\"\nBlinking Darelan tilted his head asking \"You want us to play lead fodder\nwhile the tweeks get the easy jobs?\" His head shook with some amazement\nwhile he then continued to speak \"Why is it you always give us the crazy\njobs? You know at this rate we won't be the expert squad anymore, we'll be the\nholey squad.\" \n                As they\nboth couldn't help but start to chuckle the commander then replied, \"I\nknow, I know, we've been pushing you guys, but then again everybody being\npushed. You know we've been losing this war and we need the best man power up\nfront and in this case I know your guys can cause the biggest distraction. You're\ncleared to bring anything you want and are even cleared to change out your\npacks to any specs you wish.\"\n                \"Are\nyou sure on that?\" Darelan asked as he went over the battle to come in his\nhead. \"Yes take what you need for at least a minimum of ten minutes, if\nnot longer, I will need your entire squad in constant contact till we give you\nthe signal to pull out.\" As Darelan looked over the map a little more, he\nlet out a soft sigh and nodded \"Yes sir we will do what we can for as long\nas we can Sir.\" Quickly turning and moving away Darelan shook his head\nagain at the task given thinking to himself, \"This is impossible to many\nof my men are still green, god I'm going to lose somebody again today if we're\nnot to careful.\"\n                After\nleaving the commander, he made his way straight over to his squad while his\nleft wrist sounded out having received the official orders in full from the\ncommander along with the authorizations given. As he arrived he looked over his\nsquad and then suddenly shouts \"ATTENION!!! We have orders!\" HIs\nlaughter sounding out as his four new squad members nearly leaped out of their\nfur and suits. \"We are order to make a forward push into the enemy's front\nlines and to maintain contact till order to pull back. While we engage the\nenemies, two teams will be flanking in on the sides to place explosives on the\nshield generators in order for us to drop their shields, any questions?\"\nAs they mumbled to themselves, one member then spoke up \"How many squads\nare joining us and what packs are we using?\" Darelan responded as he typed\nway on his wrist com \"We're the only ones making the forward push, we will\nbe spread out extremely and will need to act like 4 squads. This means no one\ncan slack and we have been authorized to use whatever we choose, so today we\nwill have no DM, I want everybody packing either rifles or machine guns, lasers\nare off limits since they will drain your suit power faster than your solar can\ncharge, and yes we are going full suits nobody is going light. If anybody is\nwounded and still able to walk you are order to stay in the fight, otherwise\nset your suit to auto return in the event you are unconscious, and finally\nremember should you die on the battle field, the suit will self destruct in one\nminute of the flat line. I know it sounds cruel and that there are times when\nrevival could be possible, in those events we have away to pause the self destruct,\nhowever we may not always able to get to you if you die and we need to keep our\nsuits a secret, it's the only advantage we have against the enemy. \"Any\nother questions?\" he asked.\n                After\nwaiting a few more moments with no replies and just mumbling he yelled out\n\"Ok squad eat up, then suit yourself up and report to the north of camp in\none hour for deployment until then DISMISSED!\" Being alone now and with\nhis thoughts Darelan slowly made his way over to the weapons depot to arm up.\n                Walking\ninto the make shift building of sandbags and canvas, he glanced threw the\nsupplies and massive amount of weapons available and then pressed  the AI start up button on his suits com system\ncausing a few sounds to ring threw his headset. \"A.C.I.S starting up one\nmoment...\" a few more beeps are heard and then the computer sounding voice\nbecame soft and feminine as it spoke once more \"A.C.I.S. start up complete\ngood morning sir Kitty is ready to pounce one moment while I review battle plans\nfor today.\" \"Sure Kitty go right ahead it's a doosey today and\nwouldn't be surprised if we all end up dead.\" he simple said. \"Sir\nwhen haven't we been at risk, so what do you recommend for today's suit\nup?\" she replied. \"Well lets take the max weight the suit can handle,\nwe don't have to worry about being silent so no worry there. Lets hook up the\nexpanded pack and in it I want 10 mags for my rifle, 20 mags for my pistols, 10\nHE rounds for the M503 grenade launcher attachment, and 10 stander hand\ngrenades.\" he replied while going through the rest of his supplies trying\nto figure out what else he wanted. Kitty mean while listening to his requests\nwas also going threw his suits systems reading it for battle and asked on the\nside \"Are we going to include any laser combat with today engagement or\nwill it just be kinetic and are you sure you don't want any rations in the\npack?\"\n                Shaking\nhis head, he simply replied \"No not day, it's going to be a prolonged engagement\nso we will need all the power we can keep in the suits, be sure to include both\nkinetic and laser shielding in the suits power up systems, we're going to need\nall the survivability that we can get. Also Kitty send out a mandatory order to\nall the other AIs in our squad to set up with power ups and no laser\nweapons.\" \"Yes sir, so would you like rifle or machine gun\nthen?\" she asked while she made the suit go through combat alarm tests.\n\"Lets go with the 50 cal rifle and of course attach the grenade launcher\non it. It may be a bit over kill for the infantry but will give use some armor\ncombat ability as well. Fill the water tanks to max and add four ration packs\nto the hips. Also fill up the med foam tanks to max.\" he tilted his head\nthinking and trying to figure out what else he wanted as he looked threw there\nthe screen.\n                \"Sir\nI'm ready for movement testing now please finish your request and move us into\nthe arming bay please\" She asked quietly while he cont to look threw the\nlist of items causing him to chuckle some as he responded \"Giddy for\nbattle are we? Well soon enough sweetie, soon enough, include my stander 4 9mm\npistols, two on the hip, two on the chest. Also stand shotgun fully loaded with\none in the chamber, also make sure the rifle is the same, I want all rifle\nslots loaded with buck shot clips and of course fill the four pistol mag slots\nas well as the six grenades with the same as in our pack. Is there anything I'm\nforgetting?\" \"Hmm well lets see sir, you have expanded pack with 10\nmags for the 50 cal rifle, 20 mags for the 9mm pistol, 10 rounds for the\nlauncher, 10 stander grenades, along with rifle full loaded, shotgun fully\nloaded with six mags, 6 additional grenades attached to suit, 4 additional\nrounds for the launcher, 4 9mm pistols with holster both fully loaded, 4 additional\nmags on suit for pistol, max water, 4 food rations, med foam to full that's\nabout it sir, what about your sword? Do you want it and do you want it with or without\na hand guard.\" Blinking some he quickly replied \"that should be a\ngiven, of course I want it, but without the hand guard, right hand draw from\nthe pack.\" she acknowledge him and then requested that he move into the\nbay for arming.\n                \"Also\nwhile we are setting up would you like something hot to eat or drink while I\nfinish the set up and testing sir?\" she had asked while he made his way\nover to his bay and turned around slowly backing his way in till the lid\nstarted to close around him. \"No thank you on the food but a cold beer\nwould be nice while I wait, I give you full permission to move the suit as you\nneed during combat set up mean while I'm going to rest after drinking\" he\nclosed his eyes some as the helmet once again flipped over his head as it\nfolded back out from its hiding place locking in place while his ears slide out\nof the two holes, and once the suit detected them in place, then extended the\near shields.\n                45\nminutes later, with one beer and a long nap Kitty lets out a loud alarm to wake\nhim up. Groaning and blinking a little he slowly woke up. \"Sir I am finished\nwith the combat set up its time to wake up, the crew has met up with us and are\nfinishing set up as we speak, what are your orders?\" Shaking his head inside\nhis suit he yawned a little waking up slowly \"Start log recording\" he said as\nhe blinked a little the shield in front of him suddenly going transparent looking\nas the screens took over and showed the outside of his suit and a beep was\nheard as the recorder started. \"Star date 182558.8, stander calendar June, 10th,\n2140, time 11:30 am, In 15 minutes we will be setting out and pushing north\ntowards the city at with in 30 minutes of moving out we should encounter combat\nwith the Draconic enemy forces. Our mission is simple; we are to be a diversion\nfor the demolition squads to take out the shield generators. Let me make an official\nstatement on this log, as to the fact that I think this mission is suicide and\nthat at least two more squads should have been deployed, other than that, I have\ninformed my troops to kit out to max as I have Kitty, my A.C.I.S. will include\na document of my power suit load out. With my current orders I am expecting\nanywhere from light to heavy Casualty, if not my entire squad being wiped out,\nthis is why I am presenting a pre engagement log in the event something happens\nto me so that command knows what truly happen. With that I say good luck and\ngod speed to everybody today..... Kitty end recording.\"  With a beep it had ended and the door in front\nof him open out allowing him to exit the bay \"Kitty go ahead and upload the log\nfile to HQ and send a message to the squad \nto report for duty ASAP. I'll take full control now,  put \nsystems into combat mode, activate FFI systems and prevent friendly fire\nmode on, also power up all shoulder scout drones, finally engage GPS and locator\nbeacons on allies and inter link radars\" with that said he then made his way\nout of the bay and towards the north side of camp.\n45 Minutes later\n                Explosions\nand gun fire can be heard all over, dragon looking creatures scrambling\neverywhere and taking cover where they can while returning fire, having been\nengaged by the 7th squad, the fighting had been fierce and drawn out\nover a giant area.\n                \"Sir what's\ntaking them so long, the demolition teams should have already finished!\" yelled\nout one of the element leads over the coms. \"I know I know just keep engaging I'll\nget a hold of command and find out\" Darelan lean out from the corner and using\nthe digital combat scope sent ten rounds down range wounding 1 and killing 3\nothers \"Kitty connect me to command and give me an ammo and power load out\"\nhe yelled as he once again lean over and sending more rounds and a grenade down\nrange. Once more he took cover as he started changing his mags out having empty\nanother clip \"Kitty hurry the fuck up\" he yelled glancing over the bio readings\nfor his squad.  Four of them had already\nbeen killed and the fighting was getting fiercer by the minute. \"We've got the\nwhole damn enemy company bearing down on us we need fall back sir!!!\" another one\nof the squad members yelled out.  He\nsighed as he lean out opening up again with his rifle. He was about to yell\nagain when Kitty finally spoke up \"Current power is 25%, ammo remaining 5 rifle\nmags, 4 hand grenades, 6 launch grenades, 8 pistol mags, and suit is undamaged\nbecause of shielding. However I am unable to reach command, radio is operating with\nin parameters so I'm guessing the issue is on their end, without the explosions,\nand communications lost with command I would suspected that they expected our\nplan and possible flanked us and moved towards our FOB. I recommend we with\ndraw back and assist there if we find it destroy then a full retreat.\" She said\nwhile her subsystems locked on to target after target. Sighing he shook his\nhead some \"Recover all drones and then form on me.\" He said to his remaining\nmembers of his team while looking around seeing them almost a line, the only\nremaining element lead alive waving at him while bullets flew by, causing\nDarelan to shake his head and chuckle.\n                Upon\ngetting the green lights from all remaining members, letting him know all\ndrones had been recovered, he yelled out \"Fall back to base on my lead\" as\nKitty then said \"Sir I'm having to shut down the shields we don't have the\npower to support them currently while on the run so avoid the bullets at all\ncosts.\"  As the squad stacked on him , he\nleaned around the edge and sent the rest of his clip down range in rapid fire\nmode, yelling out \"Element Lead cover me!!!\" as he took off running towards a\nset a buildings down the road way, south of them.\n                Just as\nhe took off, the element lead notice a rocket team setting up nearby and time\nhe yelled out to Darelan, he was already down the road halfway to cover, and at\nthe same moment the lead yelled out \"GET DOWN MISSILE IN BOUND!!\" It was\nalready too late the rocket team had fired and sent its missile streaking threw\nthe air heading right for Darelan. Darelan, last moment, turned around and seen\nthe rocket flying towards him not being able to do anything. \n                When\nelement lead yelling out \"DAR Nooo GET DOWN....\" \nDarelan disappear completely from the lead's eyes as a giant fireball\nengulfed him. As remainder of the squad covered their eyes from the blinding blast,\nthe sound of the explosion reverberated everywhere. When they finally look down\ntowards where Darelan had been, and yelling out for him over the coms. All they\ngot saw was a crater and smoke, and all they heard was static. No debris remained\nfrom his suit. It was as if he simply never existed.\n"}
