For a whole week, things maintained a certain pattern.

Go to bed/put more thought into Aiden.

Wake up/ Listen to Alex about how much I "like" Aiden.

Go to school/Get text messages from Jenna to date Aiden.

Go to bed/Wish Aiden was there...

And that last thought..

Freaks the shit out of me...

Things didn't really pick up until Thursday. It was mid-morning stroll time, which left me
wandering the courtyards of the campus with french-fries in my paw. Some old Thursday in my
books..

Until Shawnâ€" Noâ€" Nameless rounded the corner of Building A with a stack of papers under
his arm. His Mohawk a mess, barely standing as a shade seemingly hovered over him, keeping
his features dark for some reason. Which made me notice how sketchy of a fur he was in the
first place. Always walking with his muzzle to the concrete, off to who-knows-where to
probably do drugs and write his next big song that'll bring punk back from the dead.

But what I was concerned about was me thanking him for what he did a few days ago. Like,
how exactly was I supposed to go about it...?

"Hey Nameless, thanks for saving myâ€"" But by then he would probably take out his idiot gun
and paint my forehead red.

He was heading the opposite way. Fast. And for some reason, my legs were following him,
making my shins start to ache as I sped-walked. I wanted to call out, and I'm pretty sure I was
being watched by probably forty others, but I didn't care.

I just wanted to say thank you. For some reason it meant that much to me.

"Hey," It was just more than a whisper as the sloosh of my jeans indicated my speedup.

No answer. He just kept walking.

"Hey!" It was a little louder, and I knew he could hear me. He just chose to feign interest.
"Excuse me! Nameless!"

He stopped, turned, and threw whatever was under his arm to the ground.

"WHAT!" His teeth were bare. So was his attitude. He didn't care who was looking now. "What
the FUCK do YOU want!"

It came like a torrent, destroying me as I almost actually tripped into him. The words in my mouth
were gone as bloodshot eyes pinpointed me like a target.

 "WELL??"

"I dunno," Was all I could say as my ears sucked to my skull and I began to feel 3 inches high.

He just "HMPHED" and walked away, leaving his stuff behind.

Needless to say, I was stunned, going back and forth from his slowly shrinking silhouette to the
things on the ground.

They were hand written, messy, and in black ink. Pictures could be made out, and not badly
drawn either. Roses, broken hearts, torn up letters, skeletons. Even words started showing
hidden images. It was like his life was spewn out in front of me, which made me feel uneasy as I
picked it all back up, put it under my arm like it was mine, and ran after him.

He had booked it, I guess, because it wasn't until half an hour later that I found him in a coffee
hot-spot sipping something from a big cup with spots on it. The big chair he was in was green. A
leather type of green that made him seem like he was king of the place.

I walked up. He eyed me. I felt out of place.

"Here," I said, letting the paper slide into his lap. "These looked important."

He was speechless for a second. Like he was about to destroy me again for bringing back his
stuff. Maybe he didn't want it after all. Maybe they were bad memories... Maybe he just wanted
to see them burn.

"...I don't know what to say," He spoke with a smaller tongue. Sincere as ever. "Thank you..."

Then again... Maybe not.

"It's no problem," I replied with. "I just wanted to thank you for the fall you took for me. You
didn't have toâ€""

"Speck is an asshole," Nameless replied with before sipping his spotted cup again. "He just
likes picking on you. We all know it. You're the best in the class after all. Which pisses him off
‘cause you're not a teacher's pet."

"I'm not?" Was all I could come up with.

"Depends," Nameless gave a course smile. "Do you kiss his furry butt?"

I took a step back, spitting. "Fuck no."

"Your sudden enthusiasm says otherwise..." He shot. "But... I believe you."

"Yeah," I chuckled. "I dunno... I justâ€""

"You should go," He cut me off like he read my mind. "Don't worry about the whole cell phone
thing. The one I gave him had candy in it."

 "Really?" I said.

"Yeah," Nameless replied. "As I said, don't worry. Go on nowâ€""

"Thanks again, I guess," Was what I left with, and as soon as the breeze hit my face, my mind
was set to Sunday again.

\\*\\*\\*

"Oh ho, The scary movie bit," Alex pawed his way down the middle of the downtown mall. The
place where we went to look at things we couldn't afford and joke about who's dorm room they'd
end up living in. The flat screen always went in mine, only because he got the projector. He got
the 360, mine was the PS3. The Wii would live in the kitchen for whenever we needed... I
dunno... Exercise. Guitars=his, turntables=mine. We had a whole system. And this was how it
was going to be once we moved in together. Of course his girlfriend would be there too... But I'm
guessing I'd put her in the attic over the garage and be done with that.

"Yeah," I shook my head, matching my steps with his just because it looks weird to me when
other furs walk in unison. I always hoped I would attract someone else's attention with it just like
it attracted mine. "Apparently it's some big secret "Oh let's cuddle" sort of code that I'd never
heard about until now."

"You mean you've never use a scary movie to hold someone?" He scoffed. "How do you think I
got Lindsay to tell me she felt for me?"

"I always thoughtâ€"" I tried saying, but I sensed it was story time, thus deluding my surprise
when he cut me off.

"Man. It was the Ring. And for some reason, she was freaked out because of it. So I put my
arm on the top part of the couch, ya know?" He was putting his arm around my shoulder like it
was this giant secret. Holding me close so only I could hear. "Then," He paused. "She screamed!
And I went in for the kill!"

Other people apparently heard him, turning their eyes to the psychopath that was hanging off
me like a drunk.

"So..." I tried to break the silence. I suddenly didn't want people looking at me anymore. Even if
we were still somewhat synced in the legs.

"She shifted, coming in close. Then she sighed, smiled, and admitted she liked me since we first
met," He let go and stopped a second. "Even though she seemed liked she hated me..." Then
shrugged. "Oh well. Women, right?"

"Uhh..." I actually took this as a serious question for some reason. "I guess. Can't really
rememberâ€""

"Wow," He looked me up and down. "You've really got Sunday stapled in your head, don't you?"

"Sort of," I blushed a little. He couldn't tell though.

"Well get off it," Alex pulled my arm, jerking my body forward like Jell-o fresh out of the oven.
"You look hot today, surprisingly."

"Hey?" I was hit with confusion. Like a shovel in the face. Just \\*BAM\\*. "Wait. You just called me
hot? And," I looked myself over. "I'm hot, today?"

"Yeah, man?" He chuckled. "Come on, just stop worrying, will ya?"

And then he jerked me again, promising arcade escapades and the like.

I was sold, but Sunday was still stapled harder than ever over my face.

\\*\\*\\*

Friday. The last class of the day. Hardest class because... well... I really needed to get out of
there. The clock seemed to be ticking an hour a second, and all I could do was sit here drawing
stick figures and hearts in my dumbass binder.

Journalism-core. That's what it was. Our Prof, Mr. West was busy reviewing some raw
footage that he, himself, had picked up the night before of a robbery on Baker Street. It didn't look
like that big of a deal. Just some broken glass and stolen change. It figures that a van getting
busted into is "hot shit" to talk about the next day at the water cooler. Or in this case. To your
students.

"So as you can see, class," He spouted from his eagle-beak. "Once you arrive ON the scene,
you have about," He paused as the frames began to shake. In the film, he was running, panting
as he was screamed at. "Let's say fifteen seconds?" He counted on his feathers until the
camera fell, hit the ground, and fizzled out. Then turned and smiled. "Yeah. Fifteen seconds until
you're tackled to the ground.

He lifted up his shirts, revealing a few bruises he had acquired. "Pretty brutal stuffâ€"" And for
some miraculous reason, the bell rang. The freaking class was over. And we all didn't know
what to do.

Prof West had always been known for drawing in his students like this, just because he was
always more like one of us instead of a teacher. He got into it, usually wasting most of the lesson
with his mindless stories about his children. Which weren't really mindless. They were hilarious
really, but wayyyy off topic. Which was okay.

Into the rush of the hallway, we went. All of us poured out like a teakettle into a river, finding
our place, marching.

Once you were in, you were IN. Unless of course you had the balls to push your way out. It
was that heavy with thugs and strangers everywhere. You never knew, when you tried to get
out, who you were going to cross paths with. This is how some of the court-fights are started.
It's ridiculous.

Luckily it never happened to me, and every time I needed out, I ended up right where my locker
was. The little nook in-between them would always house me until the lot had passed.

But something was different. As the crowd went, and I made my move for the nook, someone
had already found their way into it, and as soon as I bumped them I almost let myself be swept up
in the current again.

"Hey," Came the voice. Sombre, obviously harmless, but almost lethal as it sang up to my ears.

The nook fitted two. Barely. And as I took in Aiden's scent, my heart kept skipping beats. He
was there. Looking me in the eye. Smiling even...

"Hey there.." I was reminded of my text message, for obvious reasons, and kept count on how
high my blush rating was elevating. So far, it had broken the scale, which made me feel like the
biggest, reddest tool I've ever come in contact with. And that totally wasn't working for me right
now.

I needed to be cool. I needed to be calmâ€"

"I wasn't freaking going to see you until Sunday..." I screamed in my head as the clamour of the
crowd struck behind us. "I would have gotten it together...?! I would have been prepared...?!?!? I
would haveâ€""

"Excited for Sunday?"

"Oh you bet!!"

He smiled, taking a look at his finger armour. It gleamed against the fluorescence like teeth
standing at the ready.

I was being too enthusiastic... I was freaking him out.

He just stood there, eyeing me.

"I mean..." I did my best to salvage. "Ya know.. Whatever right?"

He looked me in the eye. "It's not really ‘whatever' to me though..."

Did I say broken? Blush scale=vaporized.

"Whatâ€""

But he put his paw on my chest. The metal fell dangerously towards my heart, and I'm pretty
sure he could feel it beating a mile a second. Then... a slight push.

Into nothing.

The hallway was clear. A few students leaked through, straggling behind to get to class on
time.

"I guess I didn't have to slip this in your locker," He handed me a piece of paper. But, being me, I
missed it as it fell to the floor, hovering away from the both of us.

"Clumsy," I covered as I swooshed after the rouge, catching after almost tripping. Thrice.

"Anyways, I gotta be heading off," He said after I returned.

"What is it?"

"Huh?"

I held the paper in front of him. "What... is..."

"It's how to get to my place," He smiled, lowering my paw. For some reason I barged it into his
face.

"Okay," I smiled, putting the paper in my pocket. "So what timeâ€""

"Everything is explained in there, kay?"

And I nodded, like a good boy, which made him smile like the boy I wanted.

And suddenly I shook the thought out of my mind, sending it out to the universe, hoping it
wouldn't somehow get into the bear's head. That's the last thing I needed, really...

The first thing would probably be a clue. The second, a "Stop thinking so much about it because
you're making yourself fall for him" ray, and the third, maybe a million dollars. Everyone always
needs a million dollars.

"But yeah," He brought me back to reality. "I best beâ€""

"Okay," I cut him off again. "I shall catch youâ€""

And ya know what he did?

 He hugged me.

He freaking HUGGED me... Just outstretched his arms, opened his metaphorical love-wings,
and threw me into a 5-second paradise parade. Everything turned pink and hot and... I dunno,
amazing, as colour bombarded my face.

And as soon as I knew it, he was half-way down the hallway.

And as soon as I knew that, I became aware of the massive tent that somehow been able to
pitch itself without me realizing...

And as soon as I knew THAT... Let's just say Jenna was notified and rushed in for immediate
response.

Wait... not like...

NOT THAT KIND OF IMMEDIATE RESPONSE...

Jeez... wash your mental dishes...

\\*\\*\\*

Sunday.

My alarm clock.

It was probably the first Sunday in the history of my residence that I wasn't woken up by Alex
slamming the door as he left. I never blamed him for it.

Well, I did when he first started doing it, but that heavy metal thing is probably designed for just
that purpose. To get us out of bed. SO eventually, when I gave up at shouting at the bat that had
already vacated the place, I just learnt to deal with it. He usually didn't leave till noon anyways.

I looked at my alarm, which was blared at my face with its evil demonic "BEEP-BEEP-BEEP"
noise and slammed my paw on it before it woke Alexâ€"

"WOULD YOU TURN THAT FUCKING THING OFF!?"

Too late... Take that, bat. Writhe in the pain that is waking up at... 7?

7 am...?

Why the fuck do I need to wake up at 7 am. For something that's not supposed to happen untilâ€"

I took the note from my pants pocket, which was lying on my desk from a few nights before.

â€"4 pm. He wanted me over at 4 pm.

I chuckled at his address again. It struck me that he didn't live in residence. But then again, he
had always lived close enough to walk, so why waste the money? The only person he knew
that went here was me, and not even I would risk getting stuck with a stranger I had to call a
roommate. Thank the God I don't believe in that I convinced Alex to come here instead of out of
Province, or else I would have been screwed...

But seriously, 7 am? What the hell was I thinking?

\\*\\*\\*

"Dude? Ya hungry?"

The smell of microwaved hotdog slunked up to my nose before the words reached me. My
mouth watered as I drooled all over my pillow.

 "Feeeelixâ€""

"I'm up," For some reason I was annoyed. "What time is it?"

"Ummm," Alex padded into his room. I could hear his door open, which made me wonder why
he didn't just check on the microwave in the kitchen. "It's 3:34."

"Holy I slept inâ€"" But the sudden realization of what the time actually meant made me jump,
somehow, headfirst out of my sheets. "HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCK HOLY FUCKâ€""

"Dude?" Alex peeked in enough to see my boxer-clad body flinging around my room, trying to
put a semi-decent outfit together before another second ticked away. "What'sâ€""

"Holy fuck holy fuck holy fuck," Became my chant as I tried to calm myself enough to focus,
rather than rush. That's when a paw somehow found its way to my shoulder.

"You need to calm the fuck down," Alex was already in angro-mode, which didn't bode well for
me. "What's with the "holy fuck holy fuck" mantra?"

"I'm supposed to be at Aiden's house at 4." I was losing breathe as I dug through my dresser
which wasn't really a dresser. It was more like three drawers that collected all my clothes in the
table that held my TV. "And this is basically my last chance toâ€""

"Last chance to what, Felix?" Alex cut me off. "Being a little late for the first date isn'tâ€""

"It's not a date," I stopped him right there. "We're just hanging out. And if I'm late then that
minimizes the chance for an ACTUAL date."

"How do you figure?" The bat let go of my shoulder and observed my failed attempt at looking
snazzy, a smug expression accenting his crossed arms.

"Because I've snubbed him all this time!" I shouted. "I've been gone while he messages me, I've
had my PHONE CONFISCATED. And when he hugs me I just stand there. How would you feel?"

"When did he hug you?" Alex cut me off, which basically dropped the whole conversation
down the garbage chute down the hall.

"Huh?" Was all I could regain my balance with.

"If he's going off and hugging you, this is obviously a date." The bat looked at me and smiled.
"Now do you want some hotdogs or not?"

"You don't get the point at all?!" I shouted more than spoke, which made him just laugh in
response, turn on his heel, and exit.

That's when I heard the\\*Buzz Buzz\\* on my desk.

For some reason my ears perked as the phone played a war-drum beat on the hardwood. It
was him, I knew it. He was going to be mad, I knew it. I could just tell by how he said "You on
your way yet? =)". That's five-word anger, right there, and here I was still dressing myself.

I guess the only thing that makes it all better is the feeling of all of you going back and counting
to see if there's actually five words up there. (P.S. the =) doesn't count).

There was no time for a shower, which sucked cause my hair was a mess, and as I blurred
out the door my phone said it was 3:45. "Now how the hell am I going to get there in time..."

Which made me think of how much I hate the feeling of helplessness. Partly because it always
makes me think back to that old "Locked in a mall with millions of zombies to kill you" scenario.
That's really the pinnacle of helplessness right there, just because Jonathan Coulton sang it best:

"I don't wanna knit pick, but is this really your plan? Spend your whole life locked inside a mall?
Maybe that's okay for now but someday you'll be out of food... and guns =D. Then you'll have to
make the call."

Because really? Once you're out, your f-ed in the A, right? No food=dead. No guns=deader. I
guess that's why I'd spend my last days in Walmart making a fort of plasma screen tv's and
raining all the cash from the tills from the ceiling.

Which sounded pretty good to me because, seeing as I was walking so damn fast, my shins
were already throbbing... And I had only reached the front door.

3:50.

Seconds were pounding in my ears like T-rex steps as I debated on running to the bus-stop.
Thankfully there was no bus at the end of the road, so I didn't have to, but I would have. Really, I
would have. That's how much this whole thing meant to me.

3:55.

"Fuck where the hell is this bus," I growled as I stood in the shelter. "Where the fuck where the
fuck where the fuckâ€"" But it never came. Sunday schedules always had a way of, you
guessed it, f-ing you in the A.

"I'm walking." It would only take, like, and hour. Which seemed like how long I had to wait for
this dumbass bus.

Me, being me, which falls into the category of "not making the best decisions" decided to take
upon this moment as a great time for angry j-walking.

 Let me explain:

Angry j-walking is where you're angry, have to go to this boy whom you seem to be falling
for's house, woke up late, and have to j-walk, so you neglect to look both ways before crossing
and almost get hit my a jeep.

Which is precisely what just about happened. The screaming tires, smoke bellowing out from
both sides, your legs frozen as you hear Vegeta shouting "Oh god, this is the end for you, Final
Flash.".

But thank the god I don't believe in for brake-systems that work well. A few more inches, and I
would have been a goner. Although I'm not sure how well my pants made it out...

"Are you okay?" A deep voice called as I stared at this one spec of pavement that should have
been littered with my balls by that point. "Hey! You okay!"

I looked up, and almost peed (if I didn't already) at who was behind that wheel.

Nameless, you crazy tiger, almost hitting me with your Jeep...

"Yeah I'mâ€"" But he was suddenly waving me over.

"You need a ride?"

"Jesus, Do I." And I hopped in as soon as the feeling in my legs returned.

The inside was nice for an old Jeep. Cloth bucket-seats with carpet on the floor, which was
surprisingly clean judging from the outside of the thing, which was covered in mud. On the dash
housed his cd-player, which held 5, and a clock, which read 4:14.

"Where ya headâ€""

"Here!" And I thrusted the paper in his face, which made him almost swerve into the ditch
beside us.

"Oh that's not far," He chuckled, his voice rumbling in my ear-drums. "But you sure you're okay?
I can feel you vibrating on me seat..."

"Well you would be too if you j-walk only to have aâ€"" But then I stopped a sec and smiled.
"Thank you for the ride."

"No problem," He smiled.

And the rest of the time we sat listening to Hoobastank, all the while, in my head, I kept picturing
the words "This ride brought to you by: Angry j-walking."

And I'll admit it. I laughed a bit. But Nameless didn't notice.

\\*\\*\\*

The moment I hit that doorstep, I felt the butterflies immediately start mauling away at my insides.
Even his doorbell sounded cool, although it did have that uncanny "Ding-ding-ding-dong" tune that
every doorbell seemed to be sprouting nowadays...

Nobody answered, which made me sort of nervous. "Should I ring again?" I began to think. "Or
would that be annoying...? What if he made dinner plans and left without me?! Or what ifâ€""

But something behind the door shifted. A lock un-hinged itself and a titan answered the door.

"Can I help you?"

"Uhâ€"" I was taken off-guard by the bear that was obviously Aiden's father. "Is, uh... Aiden
around?"

"You Felix?" He asked me.

"Yessir," I replied.

"Mhmm," Was what he growled at me with before shoving over and giving me passage. "He's
in his room." And with that, he walked through the second doorway, which lead into the living
room, and plopped down on, what I'm guess would have been, the "Master of the House"
recliner.

I walked in slowly, easing the front door shut before walking into the second entrance, my feet
paraded by carpet. Shoes of all sizes, probably owned by everyone in his family, piled here, so I
let mine join the ranks as well.

"You going to be here for supper?" His father growled.

"I uhâ€"" I stammered. "I'm not sure, it's 4â€"" It was 4:30. I was half an hour late... "DAMNIT!"

"Something wrong?" He eyed me like he could sense my anguish. And he was amused by it.

"I'm just late," I replied, blushing a little as I took off my jacket, letting it fall beside the piano that
stood beside there. "I didn't realize how much time had passed, that's all."

"Mhmm," He flipped on his TiVo and started watching this old war movie as I walked swifly by
him into the direction he pointed in before.

I landed in a creaky hallway with three doors. One in front which was closed, one to the side
which was open and was, indeed, a bathroom, and one behind with was... closed...

"Fuck..." I said under my breath as I took out my cell phone. "I'm the biggest tool on the planetâ€""
And I dialled his number to call him. It rang three times, each sledgehammering my face in as I held
my breath. And finally, on the fourthâ€"

"And where the hell are you?" He sounded angry in a funny "Oh I'm just playing" sort of way.

"I think I'm outside your room," I whispered. "But I'm not sure which one it is..."

He laughed. "What theâ€" Really?" And soon I heard movement in the door ahead of me.

He opened it slowly. Or at least that's what it felt like. A smile came over his muzzle as soon as
he saw me and he opened his arms for a hug. "Hey," He said.

"Hey there," I replied, and I moved into it. He grabbed me, took hold, and blasted me off into a
netherworld of joy as I started growing a feeling like "I could probably stand here until my legs fall
off".

When we finally let go, after what felt like only a second, he granted me passage into his
kingdom. A messy, cloth covered hardwood floor, a wooden framed mattress, and a TV with
three imputs, each threaded by their own game system.

"Your room isâ€""

"A mess, I know," He said bashfully as he offered a paw in his bed's direction. "I hope it
doesn'tâ€""

"I was going to say awesome," I gave him my own coy smile before following his invite,
flopping down as I watched him move over to his PS3.

"So what movie do you want to watch?" He asked, picking up a pile of DVD's. "I was thinking
The Ring, just because it's kind of scary."

"I haven't seen it," I replied, and he looked at me like I was retarded.

"You haven't seen it?!" He said, letting the other cases fall. "What the hell is wrong with you?!"

And my ears fell. "I... uh... I'm not really that IN too scary movies, Just becauseâ€""

"Don't tell me you get scared easily," Aiden chuckled, letting the disc slide in as the system
started up. Its tinkling welcome noise took off as the movie started spinning into motion.

"Well," I was blushing now, I could feel it. Thankfully the lights had been turned off as the bear
joined me, controller in hand. "I sort of..."

"Don't worry about it," He replied, winking. "If you get scared I'll hold you close,"

And suddenly my heart was in my throat. Those words turned me to wax, while my blood
started to boil, making me melt and drip into his sheets.

There wasn't much I remember about the movie. I had never been so conscious of my body
language in all of my life, making sure my back was angled just pointing at him, all the while
keeping a sort of distance between us as we both lay with our chins and stomachs on pillows.

Actually, I remember how boring that movie was in retrospect to what I was feeling. "Maybe he
did just want to hang out..." I thought, doubting that anything was going to happen at all. "Who
was I fooling? Of course he just wanted to be friends..." I gave a sigh, deep and hard as I fell into
the depressive glove my questions left me in.

"I knew I shouldn't have thought about it this hard... I knew I shouldn't have gotten my hopes
up..." I said in my head. "But no. I had to listen to everyone. Fall into their mediocre advice on a
situation they had no idea about..."

Someone had just died on the screen, and I didn't even care. I wasn't into this scene anymore. I
kind of just wanted to leave. The only thing that kept me afloat was the sound of his breathing
beside me and the warmth that somehow found its way to where I was laying.

"You gettin' scared yet?" He whispered to me.

"Not in the least," I replied back.

He had nothing to respond with. Just silence after that, minus the ambience the movie was
giving off.

"I'm such an idiot," I kept going on in my head. "Why?! Why, Felix, did you buy in? When YOU,
yourself, gave the perfect advice for you to follow!" It hurt most, just because I did tell myself not
to buy into it. I told myself not to get involved in the beginning, and now here I was, sitting with
this boy whom I pretty much developed a tumour-sized love spot in my brain for... I knew the
result, but I gave in to hope. And look where it left me...

"Gettin' scared yet?" He asked again.

"Ugh... nope," I replied, somewhat annoyed, just because my head was bubbling over with
self-contempt.

"Ah fuck it then," He replied, and suddenly I felt him stir. I must have pissed him off enough for
him to want to leave. Just like me...

I wanted to apologise, but just as I breathed in a lung-full to do just that, his paw touched my
side, stayed a second, then slid down my stomach sending shivers straight up, down, and
sideways.

And shivers aren't supposed to go sideways.

"Yoink," He said as he pulled me in closer. Like a planet's gravity, I was being sucked in. And
suddenly, the noise in my head cleared and everything had colour in the darkness. My speech
was ripped from my throat and my senses were overwhelmed with... feelings, as I felt his heart
beat on my back.

"I was right," I said in my head, trying to keep my smiling down to a minimum. "I knew I should
have held out for hope. I knew it. I was right. Take that Alex. Take that Jenna... TAKE THAT MOM."

My mother had always told me to rely on instinct, but just LOOK AT ME NOW.

I never wanted The Ring to end, and when it did I gave a huge sigh of anger. "This movie could
defiantly be longer," I said as soon as the credits started rolling.

"Yeah," He replied, smiling. "Wait, no. I don't think it really could have."

"Well, got anything else to watch?"

"I could take a look," He replied, getting up as I started stroking patterns into the fur on his arm.

"You don't have to," I said. And the moment hung there a while until he got up and looked
through his pile.

"Have you seen 28 days later?" He asked me.

"No," I lied. I must have seen it a hundred times because of Alex when he had his Zombie
craze.

"Wanna?"

I nodded stupidly so he would just come back and yoink me again. And as soon as he returned I
nuzzled under his arm and repeated that moment over and over again until the three made the
flag message in the field.

It was perfect. A perfect day, despite being late, which he never gave me hell for. I wish I
could have videotaped it, taken it home with me, and watched it with popcorn. Just because it
must have been beautiful. Nobody should feel this good without being anything less.

"I think I'm gonna get up now," Aiden whispered as he started to shift.

That's when I looked at the clock. It was almost 10:00...

"Holy fuck," I gasped, almost flinging off the bed. My limbs felt like gel as I landed on all fours. "I
have to head home!"

"I'll ask my mom for a ride," He told me, almost in a weird tone. For some reason all the spring in
his step started melting as he lumbered out his door calling "Hey mom!"

A woman replied, and he asked.

"Of course I can give your friend a ride," She said in a sweet tone. "It is late, after-all!"

Aiden returned, sticking his head through the doorway. "Come on, let's go."

Things were ending too quickly. I couldn't help but feel like something was wrong. But every
time I did, it was overshadowed by pretty much pure ecstasy. So I followed him, met his mom
who was extremely fit for a woman her age. She stood tall, lean, and sported a head full of
greying hair as she welcomed me with her smiling face.

"You must be Felix," She said, holding out her hand.

"Yes ma'am," I replied, taking it with a shake.

"Nice to meet you," She said, jingling her keys. "Everyone ready?"

Aiden only had a sweater on, while my jacket still lay collapsed by the piano. I quickly pulled it
on, along with my shoes, and exited stage right into the bitter evening outside.

"Get in the car!" His mother shouted like an epic scene was unfolding. "Quick! Escape the bitter
cold!"

And we did. Or at least I did. Aiden sort of followed with his paws in his pockets, keeping his
eyes to the ground.

Moments later we were on the road, listening to the Killers on the radio, which was nice
considering I hated them. The road passed by so smoothly, like everything was going right as his
mom tried to make small talk in-between my half-shabby directions.

And before I knew it, we were there, right out in front of my dorm. His mom honked the horn as
if we were on a train that was entering the station.

"It was nice meeting you, Felix," She chuckled as I unbuckled.

"Likewise," I replied, and then looked over to Aiden who sat beside her. "Thanks for having me
over, Aiden."

"Yeah," He said, raising his paw, but still looking forward. "Should do it again sometime."

"For sure," I said, getting out. "Text me?"

"Kay," Was all I got before the automatic door closed. His mom smiled and waved, which is
what I wanted from Aiden. But he just kept looking forward, as if I wasn't there at all.

They drove away as I turned, paw outstretched for the front.

A single question replaced the soup that all the others made up.

What question that overcame all.

It was nice to have just one.

But that didn't make it any less... heartbreaking.

"What the hell did I do wrong??"
\\*\\*\\*

And here you have part 3. Hope you enjoyed and to hear from you guys =D.
