I saw a wavy world around me. Everything seemed to have a urine-like color to it.

_ Bubbles._

I watched bubbles escape my mouth and float upwards.

My eyes widened and weakly I flailed in panic, quickly bringing a paw to my mouth. I felt something hard. I must be using some sort of breathing apparatus.

_ Ow!_

I stubbed my toe as I had been flailing. _But on what?_

I lifted my toes and kicked once more, using the ball of my foot.

My foot made contact, but then something gave.

The golden liquid spilled out of the hole until soon it was almost empty.

I fought to get the mask off from my face, its suction gripped me tightly before separating itself with a slight, "pop."

I leaned against the back of my container, which I could now tell was a glass cylinder.

I breathed in, unaided, filling my lungs with new air. I rested for a few moments before taking a deep breath.

I hurled myself forward mightily into the glass in front of me.

The glass was very fragile and broke very easily, sending both me and shards of glass falling to the floor.

I slammed against the hard floor on my side, feeling a sharp pain in my shoulder.

"_Urgghhhh_..." I groaned in pain and laid on the floor for a few moments before rising.

Blood ran down my left arm from my shoulder, a crystalline shard of glass sticking out of it.

I gritted my teeth and squealed as I pulled it from my body, bringing it to my face, studying it, looking through the large shard at the world beyond through a filter of red.

I inspected my body; arms, legs, paws, feet, breasts, torso, back... Apart from being coated in a viscous yellow substance, I was fine.

I lifted my head to an amazing sight. To my left and right were halls of metal, with their inside walls being abscent, forming a large ring. Inside of that large ring was a lush, green, almost jungle-like garden. A waterfall seemed to run from somewhere above the opposite side of the ring and to the right of where I was; the ceiling above me obscured my full view of the scene. The waterfall sat atop a body of water, barely wide enough to be called a lake, maybe eighteen-to-twenty meters wide. Grass grew everywhere and ferns and rocks dotted the small landscape.

I looked down the halls to either side of me. It looked as if nature had claimed the halls of perhaps a once functioning laboratory. Vines coiled around large, dead electronics, moss covered the walls, and the dark-greyish-blue floor tiles were cracked and dirty.

I daintily stepped over the broken pieces of glass and walked slowly over to the waterfall.

Natural light seemed to shine down into the garden, telling me that the building was constructed with the ring-design as an intent.

I approached the water and dipped a toe into the beautiful blue water hesitantly. The water was warmer than I had expected, warmed by the sun, and was refreshing.

I positioned myself underneath the curious waterfall, watching the yellow liquid lift itself from my fur and disappear into the clear water below.

I gazed upon my chestnut-colored fur, holding my three white-tipped paintbrush-like tails in front of me, combing each of them individually with my claws.

I made sure to wash my shoulder thoroughly.

I heard a faint scraping sound in the midst of water splashing down.

I climbed out of the water quietly, covering my chest with an arm. I silently crouch-walked over to the outskirts of the garden, the ring, which had a hallway leading in the direction opposite of my now-broken glass tube. It also seemed to be the only hallway that led out of the ring. I had only made it maybe thirteen steps away from the water, and had maybe three more steps before my feet touched the tile of the ring, but I was completely dry.

_ But how_?

The sound was getting closer, slowly, and was now accompanied by a low-growl, and a metallic whirring noise.

I silently found cover on the corner of the wall at the entrence to the branching hallway, slowly peering around the corner.

I saw movement along the ground. My body stiffened and I stiffled a surprised yelp.

A small metal thing was dragging itself along the floor, its dying engines trying their best.

I looked around to see if the coast was clear before cautiously approaching the thing.

I bent down and picked up the small electronic creature. It had a lens on the bottom; presumably a projector. The robot had a spherical attatchment on the back, which I assumed was for propulsion. Regardless, the machine was broken and obviously had no intention of performing its original task.

Upon further inspection, I could see large amounds of rust built up at various places on the machine.

"}
