Which is where\u0026nbsp;I got\u0026nbsp;Connor\u0026nbsp;from. Speaking\u0026nbsp; of\u0026nbsp; Connor, his\u0026nbsp;tail ,his\u0026nbsp;dark\u0026nbsp;lab\u0026nbsp;tail of doom, was\u0026nbsp;wagging\u0026nbsp;against my leg, his\u0026nbsp;cold nose\u0026nbsp;nudging my\u0026nbsp;left hand\u0026nbsp;for attention, which he\u0026nbsp;got\u0026nbsp;in the\u0026nbsp;form\u0026nbsp;of\u0026nbsp;petting\u0026nbsp;those\u0026nbsp;silky ears of\u0026nbsp;his. I had to try and escape\u0026nbsp;this\u0026nbsp;before\u0026nbsp;Alex\u0026nbsp;got the\u0026nbsp;3rd degree from\u0026nbsp;both\u0026nbsp;mom\u0026nbsp; and dad.\n\n\"So....\u0026nbsp;yeah\u0026nbsp;with that\u0026nbsp;out of the\u0026nbsp;way...can\u0026nbsp;Alex\u0026nbsp;stay the night?\" I asked, knowing they'd be fine with it.\n\nDad was the\u0026nbsp;one to\u0026nbsp;reply, \"yeah\u0026nbsp;sure.\" He\u0026nbsp;replied\u0026nbsp;without even a\u0026nbsp;thought\u0026nbsp;of saying no.\n\nI Quickly\u0026nbsp;gave\u0026nbsp;mom\u0026nbsp;and\u0026nbsp;dad a\u0026nbsp;hug and said good night\u0026nbsp;to\u0026nbsp;both of them as Alex followed\u0026nbsp;me to my room\u0026nbsp;in the\u0026nbsp;back\u0026nbsp;of the house, noticing\u0026nbsp;Connor's tags following\u0026nbsp;us also.\n\nWe reached my bedroom\u0026nbsp;and opened the door,\u0026nbsp;feeling\u0026nbsp;Connor\u0026nbsp;slide\u0026nbsp;past me\u0026nbsp; into the room,\u0026nbsp;going to\u0026nbsp;lay under my desk as\u0026nbsp;I heard\u0026nbsp; him\u0026nbsp;sliding\u0026nbsp;past\u0026nbsp;my desk chair.\u0026nbsp; \u0026nbsp;\n\nAs one enters\u0026nbsp;my\u0026nbsp;bedroom,\u0026nbsp;they\u0026nbsp;would\u0026nbsp;notice the normal\u0026nbsp;stuff in\u0026nbsp;the\u0026nbsp;bedroom\u0026nbsp;of a\u0026nbsp;teenage\u0026nbsp;boy:\u0026nbsp;\u0026nbsp;double size\u0026nbsp;bed\u0026nbsp;against one\u0026nbsp;wall, an\u0026nbsp;L corner\u0026nbsp;desk\u0026nbsp;in the other corner and large\u0026nbsp;built\u0026nbsp;in\u0026nbsp;bookshelves full of\u0026nbsp;stuff in braille\u0026nbsp;and other blindness\u0026nbsp;technology, like\u0026nbsp;what was\u0026nbsp;on one corner of my desk looking\u0026nbsp;like an ancient\u0026nbsp;handheld video game\u0026nbsp;machine\u0026nbsp;on\u0026nbsp;a\u0026nbsp;long\u0026nbsp;neck, pointing\u0026nbsp;down\u0026nbsp;to last night's homework, words on the 4.5 inch display.\n\n\"What's the\u0026nbsp;old video game thing on your desk there Roe?\"\u0026nbsp; Alex asked noticing\u0026nbsp;the\u0026nbsp;tech on my desk.\u0026nbsp;\n\nI kind of\u0026nbsp;sighed\u0026nbsp;at this, always\u0026nbsp;questions\u0026nbsp;of the tech\u0026nbsp;a\u0026nbsp;blind guy uses.\n\n\"That's\u0026nbsp;an\u0026nbsp;Intel reader, it\u0026nbsp;takes\u0026nbsp;pictures\u0026nbsp;of printed\u0026nbsp;text like\u0026nbsp;mail\u0026nbsp;and such and\u0026nbsp;and reads it back to me.
