# The Unbreakable Bond - Prologue

guys! It's derpyQuilava here! This is my first story and it might
suck a lot so please give some constructive criticism! :3


It was a bright, shining day
in the region of Unova when 5 year old Landon burst through the door
of his house in Nuvema Town.




"Mom! I'm going to the
forest to explore!" yelled Landon.



"Landon! Come back here
right now" his mom yelled back.



"No!"



Landon's heart filled with joy
and adrenaline as he sprinted out to Route 1. He then took a sharp
right and jumped straight into the forest. Landon had always dreamed
of exploring the forest one day and while his mom was cooking lunch,
he took the chance to go on an adventure. Little did Landon know
about the dangers lurking in the forest...



After a couple of minutes of
jumping into leaf piles and throwing sticks, Landon came to a
clearing. In the middle of the clearing was an egg. Landon's face
suddenly brightened up and thought: Wow, I want that egg! Maybe
someday it will hatch into something cool!




As Landon picked up the egg,
he almost dropped it because of how heavy it is. The egg was almost a
third of Landon's full height. Landon thought that it was getting
dark, so he headed home. As he was walking through the forest, he
heard growling. All of a sudden, a wild poochyena jumped out at
Landon.



"Uh oh, mommy! Daddy!
Someone help me!!!" Landon screamed as he ran through the forest as
fast as he could while holding on to the egg. Suddenly, Landon burst
onto route 1 and straight into his mother's arms.



"Landon, I told you not to
go into the forest alone!" Scolded his mom, "And what is it that
you're holding?"



"Oh, it's a pokemon egg I
found in the forest! Mom, can I keep it please?"



"Ok fine, but promise me not
to ever go into that forest again, ok?"



"Alright mommy!"



Landon was actually quite
surprised that his mom let him keep the egg. His parents have always
been against owning pokemon because they thought that they were
dangerous and harmful to their son. Regardless, Landon was very glad
that he got to keep the egg.




Through the next year, Landon
had the egg by his side at all times. Everywhere he went, he took the
egg with him. Landon's parents were also getting quite annoyed at the
egg because it was Landon's only friend.




One morning about a year
later, the egg began to crack.



"Mommy!
Daddy! The egg is hatching! Come look!" Landon
yelled excitedly.



Everyone gathered around the
egg to see what it would hatch into. All of a sudden, the egg burst
in a huge wave of heat and light. Everyone in the room was blinded
for a second. When everyone regained their vision, all were shocked
to see what it is except for Landon. It was a small, fluffy white
dragon-like pokemon with a big, blazing tail and a flowing mane. It
had bright-blue eyes and had tiny claws on its wings. Baby reshiram
started to whimper because of all the people looking at it. When it
found Landon's face, he recognized it from the time it had been in
the egg and waddled over to him.



"Look mommy, daddy! Look!
What is it?"



"No, this can't be true...
Son, it's the legendary pokemon reshiram!" Landon's dad said with a
shocked look on his face.



"Awww, he's so cute! Mommy,
can I keep him?"



"Landon,
uh," Landon's mom suddenly broke out into rage, "NO! That thing
is dangerous. You can't keep him!"



"No mommy, he's my friend!"
Landon said with tears in his eyes.




Landon
suddenly scooped up the baby reshiram and ran out the door, never to
be seen by his parents again...
